    House Omelette

A cozy breakfast spot with amazing menu options! The service is great and polite. I tried the House Omelette, which comes with avocado and veggies, and it was delicious. The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly. We also had the strawberry French toast with chocolate sauce and fresh strawberries, which was really good. A solid breakfast spot for families.

I SOOOO miss Spires! they used to have a location in Monrovia. My daughter and I would go every Friday and Saturday. So we were in the neighborhood and decided to revisit one of our favorite restaurant! I got the pork chop daily special and my daughter got the sirloin dinner. I love the daily specials and dinner specials. Comes with SOUP AND SALAD AND A DESSERT! It just fills my heart and stomach with so much joy! Service is awesome!

I ordered many items as I was hungry and like to try varieties of items at diners. Everything was not good, over cooked. I'm guessing if I was drunk and came here after a few drinks it might of tasted better. The staff was friendly although a bit slow to getting to you. The restaurant was clean as I could see. The menu is huge so maybe I just need to order something else next time.

The Spires near my neighborhood was permanently closed. I had to go to Ontario airport so why not give this place a try. So far so good. The food was as good as I remembered from other location. While I asked for water the waiter even offered me hot water, though I prefer cold water. I add one star for this gesture. The ambiance was like other old school coffee shop.

Had a spires in my neighborhood when I was younger. When picking up my god dad found that there was a spires open and wanted to feel nostalgic. Came on Monday around 2pm sad to see the restaurant completely empty. Restaurant had nice Americana on the walls just like going back In time. The lady waitress and male waiter were nice and friendly. Ordered a 1/2 sandwich that came with soup n salad ordered the beefeater. Food was bland and needed seasoning. The bread was soggy, and the beef was really chewy. Salad wasn't crisp probably because was put on a hot plate with the sandwich. This place is definitely not what I remember it to be unfortunately.

My wife and I were in Ontario for a horror convention, so we wanted to grab some food before hand so we didn't spend $250 on overly salted pretzels while walking around. We had no idea what was in the area, but when we drove by Spires Restaurant down the street we knew we needed to give this place a shot. From the outside, this place looks like an East Coast diner and that's something we both have a huge soft spot for. We came here around 11:30AM on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised when we walked inside. Not only was this place absolutely packed, but the inside matched the outside and it was just a charming establishment. The menu here was a little bit of everything! From Burgers and Steaks to Salads and Soups, Spires has pretty much everything a person could want and that's perfectly okay when it's a diner. The servers here were friendly and quick to take orders, provide water, and check in on us throughout our visit which was nice, but the most important thing is what came next, the food! The photo below doesn't look like a game changer and it doesn't look like the best burger in the world.....and it wasn't, but it tasted really good and it tasted the exact way I want a burger when it comes from a diner or a similar place. I ordered the "Western Burger" which was basically a cheeseburger lettuce, bacon, BBQ Sauce, and some onion rings on it and it was absolutely delicious. On top of the burger being great, the french fries on the side were thick steak cut and were pretty dang good as well, a great meal! Overall, Spires Restaurant brought me back to 1990s New England in the best way and it's definitely a place I would come back to in the future. I really enjoyed the food I ordered, the restaurant was super comfortable, and the staff was great as well. Need a good hearty meal in Ontario? Spires gotchu.

Born in 1965, once upon a time, Spires was part of SoCal landscape. While only a few remain, their dineresque offerings still delivers! This combo was plentiful and hit the spot.

Excellent breakfast option near the Ontario International Airport. The service was excellent. Food prepared on site and served hot! Everything was seasoned well and portion size is great for sharing or leftovers. Definitely a restaurant for locals and visitors alike, everyone is greeted and treated with a smile!

OMG! The food here is absolutely delicious. Everything I had was a 10 and just the perfect flavor. The place is old but very clean. The employees are very nice and the prices very reasonable. This is a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Plenty of parking and near the airport and convention center. I highly recommend this place and give it my #Orangetree Approval which is the highest rating I can give. I will definitely return to try their extensive menu.

Ordered the Cob Salad and it was super good. Service was great. Fast and efficient. Ambiance has the awesome coffee shop vibe that I like. Highly recommend

    Breakfast Burrito
    Kyle V.

Another typical average diner with very friendly staff, a clean dining room with an old school layout/design, and relatively quick but average food. I went with the breakfast burrito and fruit. The portion was large and the burrito was packed with a lot! I wish the hashbrown were crispier but that would be tough to stick into the burrito. The salsa was pretty good that came with it and had a little bit of a kick. They split their U shaped booths in half by removing a table insert, which makes it kinda awkward because you are basically sitting with random people in the same booth. The prices seemed a little higher than nearby diners but nothing outrageous.

Worst service I've had in years. Our waitress opened with a curt "Order?"--no greeting, no smile. Food was dropped off in silence, no "anything else you might need?" or follow-up the entire meal. She never checked on us, then dropped the check and walked away without a word. Rude, unprofessional, and made us feel completely unwelcome. Didn't get her name, but if management reads this, date was 8/9, order 42, section 4

    French Toast

Came here after church for a solid breakfast and lunch diner experience. Service was quick and food came out no more than 20 minutes after ordering! Burger was nice and big, zucchini sticks were crunchy too! Usually expect soggy zucchini when they get deep fried but this establishment opened my eyes! Bacon, eggs and French toast were also up to par, with the bacon being extra crispy and just the way I liked them! Overall, this restaurant is a staple in the IE and for those passing through and wanting a nice meal, Spires is definitely where you need to go!

Unfortunately, the service set a negative tone right from the start. As for the ice cream, it's priced as a premium product, but honestly, there wasn't anything particularly special about it. For the cost, I expected a much better overall experience and higher-quality product.

We went there just before 10 AM and the place was empty. It should be full of people! We were greeted when we got there, which was very nice a lot of places sometimes don't even acknowledge you. We were looking at their screen for the menu items and I told the lady there that the place was so cute. She wound up offering us a little taste of the Cafe de Olla, oh I love that it was very good. My daughter had the strawberry cheesecake crepe which she said was delicious and she liked that it was not overly sweet. I had the no sugar added berries with ricotta and that was tasty. I didn't taste a lot of the ricotta, maybe it's very light but it was delicious. We would definitely return and on Wednesdays they have specials on crêpes. They actually have specials Monday through Friday that are on their Instagram. Lots of cute areas within the shop to take pictures. This is an adorable place to have a baby shower, a birthday, a girls meet up or anything else like a date! Lots of seating and even have two outdoor tables. I thought the prices were very reasonable. The only reason they didn't hit a 5 star in my book was because during this visit, my order was accidentally given to another customer. No big deal. the customer could've been honest and said it wasn't her order, but hey stuff happens. however, instead of just handling it discreetly, two employees behind the counter started arguing loud enough for the whole dining area to hear about who's fault it was and why the other person was in the wrong. they're crepes, it's fine. Finally whoever was managing had to intervene because while they're sitting there arguing, I'm waiting. It just felt awkward after. not the kinda vibe that builds an appetite.

It was known for cheap, quality drinks back then, and I find myself still looking for that nostalgic quality. Yet, when I go now, I think I find more disappointment and I should learn to let it go. I've been here twice and both times was after a meal at La Bufadora next door. Parking is difficult in the front of the facility, unless you intend to be here for less than 20 minutes; there is a designated 20 minute parking area. When ordering here, I don't usually order at the register since the baristas are always busy. They don't acknowledge when guests come in, so I use the kiosk to the left to make my purchase. My phone number doesn't work for the rewards and I could never figure out how to sign up. I ordered my usual milk tea with boba. This time, I put less ice since it was chilly outside and I even had on a cardigan. When my drink came, I was fairly disappointed. With less ice, came less to drink. My drink wasn't filled up... I guess I understand, but at the same time, it was a bit of a rip off especially if I'm paying $6.50 for it. The milk tea was not sweet although it was 100% sweet and the boba was inconsistently different sizes. With a second visit and the same lack of taste, I don't think I'll be back. I'm paying the same price as another boba shop that would give me more toppings and fill up my cup. I'd rather drive towards Eastvale for boba instead.

The good: The churro flavors are unique and coated in delicious sweet sauces of your choice. I tried the Nutella almond coating and they were pretty generous with the flavoring, I left very satisfied with the churro itself. It was made fresh to order. The ambiance is pretty cute, they put in effort to make the area feel safe, especially since sometimes the place they post out is in a dark alley behind a warehouse in the middle of nowhere. The service is good and friendly, I read many reviews saying otherwise so perhaps this isn't true all the time, but it was the one time we went. The eh: The wait time complaints did ring true to me, we got there at 9 pm and there was no line in front of us, it still took them about 15 minutes to get us our mini churro and ice cream. However, it's a food truck, this kind of wait time is expected and I did get a fresh and hot churro so it wasn't for nothing. If you want something fast, you probably shouldn't go to a food truck. The prices also leave something to be desired, $10 for a small ice cream and a 5 inch churro is pretty high. Again, however, I allow that because it's a food truck prices will be higher. I can't find any place near this area that does better churros, so I'm willing to pay the extra once in a while for a better experience. My girlfriend loved that it's a "speakeasy", meaning you have to join their exclusive instagram club to get "drops" on where they'll be that night. I see many complaints about them not being at a location and suspect this is why. I personally don't like this (I'm lazy), but since my girlfriend does, I call it a wash. The bad: The ice cream isn't worth it. If I ever come back here, I'd rather bring my own ice cream, even if I look like a crazy man clutching my tub of breyers sitting around on a street. Their ice cream is either vanilla or cookies and cream, and it's a piddly amount with no toppings. Just skip it, there are plenty of great ice cream places, you're here for the churro. It'll save you a few dollars probably. The area (at least when we visited) leaves a lot to be desired as I hinted at earlier. It was in a parking lot in a dead business center with fences, the entrance to the parking lot was a narrow alley 2 minutes away from the truck itself. The only reason I was able and willing to find that entrance was because the truck (probably knowing it's hard to find) was posted very visibly against a fence with welcoming fairy lights, so I took a little extra time looking for the entrance. I hope they can find a better location to post up at. In the end, I may come back only because they do make good churros, but I think it's more because they lack good competition than anything else. Perhaps I haven't looked hard enough for an alternative.
