I've found my new coffee spot! Was very lucky to wander in at a less busy time (roughly 2PM on a Friday) and have a good chat with Oscar, who greeted me and made my order with incredible swiftness. Frankly, I was having a really rough day before stopping by and took more time than desirable to review the menu before ordering. However, this coffee spot was very patient and kind to me by checking in and listening. I ordered a Chai Latte, and it was the ideal balance of bold and creamy for me! Rude customer service and horrible cold brew save your money don't come here or waste your time with this hole place

Very rude barista refused service because I had a service dog with me. The dog was wearing a service dog tag in plain sight. The barista asked the questions he's allowed to ask. I answered and even offered to show him my documentation. He said bluntly that he didn't believe me which is a blatant violation of ADA rules. I asked for his name and he refused to give it. Apparently this is the norm based on other google reviews. Needless to say, we will not be going back. read more

Small. Apparently the best coffee in SF. one person making all the drinks so the wait can get long. There is some seating inside but because it's a small space, you'll be sitting with the incoming line which can just be plain awkward. I appreciate the speciality coffee but the wait wasn't worth it for me. And there's barely any room for people to exit while the line is forming. A better layout is needed. read more

This used to be my favorite local coffee shop, but after this morning I won't ever be back. I came in with my dog, who has been there many times, and a tall dark-haired employee (who refused to give his name) asked us to leave. I informed him she is a service animal and I explained that the service she provides is necessary for my health as she notifies me. He responded by still asking us to leave because she was "sniffing." This is against CA state law and was handled very poorly. They discriminate against individuals with disabilities!!! read more

My partner and I checked out this new coffee shop in the Marina on a Friday morning. Looks like they have a couple other locations in FiDi. It was quite busy with a lot of folks waiting and only one person working there. We got a matcha latte and a mango latte. We also got a carne asada and spinach and cheese empanada. There are comfortable chairs/sofas to sit on while you wait! The drinks were okay - the matcha latte was just fine and the mango latte was a bit tart. But WOW the carne asada (ground beef) empanada was I think honestly the best empanada I've ever had. Perfectly flaky with savory filling inside. They have a ton of different types (both meat and veggie options) but definitely try the carne asada if you're a meat eater! read more

Friend & I needed a quick bite before we met up with another friend for a long walk. My friend spotted empanadas lined up in the glass case, waiting to be baked to order!!!! I had the spinach and cheese, YUM, and my friend had the egg & cheese, also YUM. The test is the eggs , they were fluffy, FLUFFY, inside this thin pastry shell. Clearly they knew the exact minutes to baked these beauties because they were just cooked inside, warmed through. My spinach and cheese had nutmeg, pepper, salt, onions, I didn't taste garlic, but flavors were perfectly balanced, not too salty. Good for Union St to get a couple of good fast/casual dining options. So glad to know they're open early. Guess where I'm stopping to pick up lunch before I head to work? As soon as we walked in, we were immediately met by an angry man, who seemed to be the owner, who demanded that we leave because we had our 7lb dog with us. I calmly explained that I have diabetes and that my dog is trained to detect low blood sugar, but he aggressively responded, "I DON'T CARE, GET OUT!" The café was completely empty, making his hostility even more baffling. Shortly after, another man approached me and mentioned that the employee/owner was violating the law and could face consequences for mistreating individuals with disabilities. The owner is scary. He's seemingly so pissed off with who knows what, the past review of the lady with the dog did not surprise me whatsoever. That's basically all I can say. It's a basic gentrified coffee shop with plants, minimal seating, and seemingly mediocre coffee. They're so boujee, they don't have any syrups to choose from either - just raw sugar and Splenda. I got matcha today, it was alright considering a quarter of it was foam and in my books a mediocre $7, 12 OZ matcha latte just doesn't cut it. Passed by this coffee shop on our way to Fort Mason. Empanadas are tasty! A little let down by their house coffee (very watered down.) Flat white was decent. Will come back for the empanadas, probably not the drinks. Prompt service. Seating area is small but it wasn't crowded even on a weekend. Nice location. read more
