    "Large" iced coffee
    Adrienne L.

The WORST coffee shop I've ever been to. I've tried lots of different coffee shops but this one is by far the worst. My mom and I walked in while we were walking around Newport on vacation. I was very excited..but that excitement turned to confusion after we paid $35 for two "Large" thin mint coffees that were literally the size of a kids small and a small bag of cape cod chips. The owner tried to talk our ears off and acted a little too nice the whole time to distract us. The cups were full of ice (which she charges extra for) and a splash of coffee with flavoring (which she also charges extra for per flavor). Each drink was $15 and the SMALL bag of chips was around $5. Coffee was mediocre too. Here's a pic that doesn't really do justice as to how small the cup really was. I wouldn't go back if it was the last coffee shop on earth. Save your money!!!

Right on the water, a very small coffee boutique. The owner was very friendly, and we enjoyed our 2 frozen cappuccinos.

Coffee and pastries right on the pier. Small shop with friendly service. Outdoor seating only. Coffee is fresh, but pastries are sourced.

Mozz - Charcuterie spread from Mozz's apertivo hour

Mozz is one of my favorite hidden spots to grab a quick breakfast or lunch when running errands…read morearound Bellevue Avenue and environs. You'd never know it was once a Newport Creamery (super casual diner-style eatery), because the owners have done an excellent job of renovating the space into an Italian-inspired fresh cafe. Of course, the house Mozzarella is a standout, and they do provide samples upon request. They also have an impressive array of imported cheese and meats, perfect for crafting a memorable charcuterie board. I love their Espresso brewed fresh to order with pistachio milk (!! Where else have you ever seen pistachio milk?!), and the Frittata with potato and onion is my favorite for a light brunch moment. Make sure you ask them to heat it up for you! Ample seating inside and outside at adorable cafe tables round out the Italian street cafe vibe, and Mozz is not to be missed for your Newport adventure!

One weekend afternoon in April 2026 I decided to pastry taste five spots in Newport Rhode Island…read more Mooz came in 4 of 5. It's a solid Italian spot with lots of food and sweet choices. I got a canolli and sfogliatella.. It's the only spot I found in town with Italian treats you can pickup and go. The canolli was really tasty but it was very small and very expensive. The sfogliatella matched the taste and quality of those I had in Napoli, Italy. It was expensive though. The spot has a pleasant sitting area that's functional but not necessarily cute to sit in and relax. Not much to look at inside. Overall a spot to get your Italian fix if you feel like paying the prices. It does have a great selection of cheeses, meats, and Italian goods which admittedly I didn't try. It's a slightly expensive spot even for Newport which is already an expensive town to eat in.
