One of my favorite local stops on the island ! Cute little local shop for coffee with pastry and small breakfast and lunch options . Try the blended rush Java chip for a treat. Make sure you check the hours before you go ( closed Sunday ) but you're in for some great coffee if you visit .

I got to try their Thai Iced Coffee that customers have really talked about loving and it was worth the hype! Staff were super friendly and the coffee was the perfect amount of sweetness for me. They have a perfect ambiance for a coffee shop with an outdoor dining area to enjoy Lāna'i's outdoor scenery/nature. - Miguel Morales Photography

Going to Lāna'i, it is a staple to stop by at Coffee Works. The service here is always great! The workers are usually friendly and quick. The Thai iced coffee always hits the spot, idk what they do but it does.

On my second visit to Lana'i, this was my first visit to Coffee Works and it was awesome and lovely overall! Had their cold brew coffee and one of their apple turnovers and the service is great overall. Love supporting local businesses. Not too crowded either. You can dine-in on their nice large outdoor deck patio or have it to-go. Yes, prices are relatively expensive, but this is Lana'i.

Located in the heart of the city is Coffee works you will see a lot of locals and some tourist because this place is known for their great coffee and pastries! Mask are required when you get there and if not you are not allowed at the window counter to place your order. Parking is along side of the roadway and normally it is not that busy except on weekends. Across of they have Dole park which you also can walk to and enjoy your breakfast, they have bench's and seating areas in the park.

When trying to look for a cup of Joe on a remote island like Lanai...........don't bother to look for a Starbucks, Seattle's Best, Philz, Lion Coffee, McDonald's Mac-Cafe, or whatever coffee that maybe. Finding a coffee shop in Lanai City is a God send, and that's where I ran into this cute little coffee shop called - "Coffee Works". When going to Lanai, sad to say that there ain't too many food or drink places in this small little town. I needed a little afternoon "pick me up" and that's how I ended up here at the Coffee Works for a strong cup of Joe. Upon entering this cute little coffee shop, I noticed this coffee shop also served some baked goods like cookies, donuts & muffins, food items like chili hot dog rice bowl, bagels, acai bowls, ice cream, smoothies, teas, as well as coffee drinks. There is no inside seating at this coffee shop, as the coffee shop is rather small. Worried about seating? No need to fret gang, as they do have a very large partially covered deck, where you can sit & enjoy your cup of Joe. After looking over the wall menu, I asked the clerk for a dark coffee, and she suggested a Americano. Cool, so that's what I ended up getting............ a Medium Americano. While the girl was making my Americano, I also looked at some baked items & asked the girl if the baked items were locally made here, she said "no". After looking closer at the baked items like the muffin, it kinda reminded me of the Costco muffins, so I decided to pass on the baked goods, and stuck with just the coffee. What can I say about the coffee? The coffee was very good! My cup of Joe had a nice rich & bold flavor, just the perfect drink to pick you up after a early morning start! So glad I found this little coffee shop, should I ever have to be back in Lanai City for work, I'm sure I'll stop by again for another cup of Joe!

thankful for this coffee shop on lanai island. quick and prompt service. i ordered a quad iced latte and a thai iced coffee no ice. both are flavorful in its own way and enough to keep you full of energy all day. plenty of seating outside with big patio area.

The service was not great. The person working the counter was extremely rude. I would not come here again.

Such a cute coffee cabin, nice ambience. So good that she needed to stay, enjoy her ice vanilla chai tea and read her book while we waited patiently

Decided this morning to check this place out because there really is only so much you can do here on lanai. The service was fine/friendly but the price was kind of up there.. paid about 16 for two drinks.. an espresso shake and iced mocha.. the espresso shake was good and the iced mocha I wasn't a big fan of. For the price I feel like I should have enjoyed it a little more lol but I will be back again for a 2nd and 3rd try :)

Good coffee but I was disappointed because my chocolate croissant was cold. They heated it up for me but then it became oily. I'd definitely go back for their coffee!!!

    Nice lanai seating outside

Tali's Bagels and Schmear is open in Kailua to help satiafy bagel lovers, especially if you are into NYC style bagels, such as myself. Tali's is a LGBTQ+ owned business, if that matters...no concern of mine, it's all about tolerance. I tried their Meshuga ( their sp.) for takeaway. It is a schmear consisting of cream cheese, Habanero, bell peppers, chives, and garlic chives. I chose their classic bagel as the vessel. Excellent. The Babka was also excellent. Bread with chocolate and hazelnut ... a Jewish baked good. This was more of a cake than a bread. Sweet and while I am leery of sweetness used to hide mediocre ingredients...i was not putting the Babka anywhere except in my mouth.

Walking in and the place is sorta wasted space inside and weird cut outs where you can sit and stare at 3 walls. It was between 10-11am when we came. Multiple customers were upset that their orders were missing items or completely wrong. All before I could order. Get to the front to understand they only have two types of bagels and everything else was out. Also sold out of coffee. Horrible. The 3 teens working were exceptionally slow, had no idea what was going on, and it was sheer chaos. Even customers were talking amongst themselves saying there needs to be someone older there who has some leadership skills. The food sucked. One bite into the 20$ bagel and all the contents slid out because the bagel was a brick. What a horrible waste of money and time. Go somewhere else. It's clear the owners give no care about the success of their business running it this way.

I got the smoked salmon bagel and my boyfriend got the breakfast sandwich, and we both really enjoyed them! We also split the bubble waffle. We ended up eating it cold, but I'd definitely recommend eating it fresh/hot. The real star of the show was the Maui Melt panini I got when I came back a second time. LOVED IT. Easily my favorite thing I've tried here so far. I also got one of their specialty lattes with cold foam and asked for it less sweet. It was delicious! The barista was also super sweet and friendly. I sat inside at one of the corner tables and there was an outlet right next to me to plug in my laptop, plus WiFi, which was really nice since I wanted to get some work done. They also have outdoor seating if you'd rather enjoy the weather. Cute spot, great food and coffee, friendly service, and a good place to hang out or work for a bit. Definitely coming back!

I was already doing the math and thinking , "Eh, we might be here awhile." But nah, good timing. People were finishing up, bussing tables, and bam, maybe 20-30 minutes tops. Not bad at all. While we was waiting, they come out with waffle samples for everyone in line. I mean... who does that? That's how you keep people from getting all hangry. Instant good vibes, the whole line outside was just smiling and waiting patiently. Finally get seated and both the hostess and waitress were super nice--real friendly, no rush, no attitude. In the front they had mushroom soup on the specials board, so we figured we go sample um. I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot. Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. We will be heading to Cafe Kaila again to try some other stuff like the "chicken and waffles", and next time, I'm not playing around with the soup. Bowl, Garans.
