It's all street parking. The place is pretty small, but they do have some tables and seats. I ordered their seasonal drinks: Butterscotch Latte and Ex-Ghoulfriend. The Butterscotch Latte was sweet and creamy. The Ex-Ghoulfriend was not sweet at all, not minty, and tasted more of the activated charcoal than chocolate and other ingredients that were in the drink. The description of the drink sounded good, but it wasn't as great for my taste. I'm not a huge coffee drinker and I didn't know I enjoyed coffee until I came here. My husband's coffee is usually safe from me unless it's the Instigator (with oat milk) from Coffee Drunk. We come here shamefully a lot, and it's consistently good each time. 5 stars for the consistent quality, good customer service, and loyalty program. Located conveniently on 4th street, so a visit to Shady Grove Foods or Hug Life is almost always included in a Coffee Drunk trip. I saw a feature on Hi-Lo off Coffee Drunk and instantly the segment featuring the Instigator got me and I knew had to visit... like asap. My boyfriend and I stopped by on Saturday morning around 9am and it was already packed! Two customers are allowed inside at a time and you wait for your drinks outside. Although there were a lot of people waiting for their drinks, everyone was really courteous and aware of spacing and physical distancing. Now on to the drink! The instigator was exactly what I wanted to hit the spot. I'm not usually one that likes my coffee sweet and I had a slight concern that this was going to be too sweet for my taste. However, the balance between the maple syrup, brown sugar, and espresso was in perfect harmony! Even my boyfriend that usually drinks his coffee black kept reaching for my coffee over his! Omg I loved this place!!! I went to a dog groomer nearby & didn't want to leave the area so I stopped by & spent a few luxurious hours here. It's a little cramped but at the same time spacious? Very modern/contemporary/minimalist/airy. I really like the lower chairs and tables, but I was seated at the higher chairs in front of the window. There's also seating outdoors, maybe 3-5 tables. There's a lot of seating for this small of a place. I bought a $30 grey cap that says "instigator" lol. The merchandise is a bit pricey but cool. ALSO! They have CBD-Infused natural seltzers and sodas. They have some healthier versions of common sodas (cola, etc) & this amaaaaazing fruit parfait with an unidentified fruit (peaches or apples?!?!) atop chia seeds in plant-based milk. AAMAZZZZZINGGGG. Filled me up! They have oat milk :) and WiFi. Great spot. The employee was very sociable & a pleasure. Had such a great time here! read more

Small, but really cute little coffee joint. I ordered the famous Instigator and asked for oat milk, but they accidentally made it with regular / cows milk. I'm not lactose intolerant or anything so didn't ask them to remake it. Man, remembering the taste makes me want to go get one this weekend. It was really good. I probably wouldn't come here to sit or hang out as it is quite tiny, but the coffee is superb. read more

We stopped by this coffee shop before our visit to the dog beach. We found street parking in the neighborhood and made our way in. The menu was standard, and they offered a few seasonal drinks. I tried the Blueberry Brown Sugar Latte + Oat milk and was pleasantly surprised with the subtle fruit flavor. I was nervous it'd be overwhelming but they let me sample it before making my choice. The total was around ~$7 and I was just a little taken aback at the steep cost. (It was the smaller size) Overall, the coffee shop was cute. Lots of patrons set up with laptops and all the chairs were taken. The coffee was unique but it was a little hard to not think about the money spent. I'd give it 3.5. Definitely check it out though and support other smaller business along the street! read more

cute little new coffee shop next to my laundromat. There's this guy that works there who has such warm and kind energy, it's contagious. I'm a big matcha drinker and they make a quite good matcha here- not everywhere can. They have some cool concoctions available too.. like a blueberry maple matcha and can't remember what else. I have yet to try but i'm sure they are good. It's quiet and bright in here. Their music selection is also not too shabby! read more

My sister and I started a thing where we try a new coffee place every time we visit each other. This time, we went to CoffeeDrunk. The name sold me, but I'll definitely come back for their coffee. We both got an Instigator, but my sister got it with oat milk instead of whole milk. Mine was perfection! I didn't even need to add sugar, and I usually have to add a packet or two. I like my coffee sweet though and I know some don't. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about their coffee cakes. We ordered both flavors - banana and guava. It wasn't a coffee cake at all. If I had just seen the regular menu I probably would've skipped this place, but when I saw the blueberry drink on their seasonal menu I was sold! You can either get it with espresso or with matcha, so I picked the latter and paired with oat milk. It's definitely pricier for the small cup size but hopefully it's because they use quality matcha. The matcha part itself was mixed well so it wasn't clumpy at all, but the drink as a whole was just okay. It seemed a bit watery, and I think I was hoping for something creamier. The blueberry was subtle but flavorful. Maybe I should have gotten the espresso version instead! The service was okay. My husband wanted to use up some cash before we traveled back home and the cashier had a snobby tone when she said they were cashless only. The lady who gave us our drinks was much nicer. Otherwise, the interior of the shop is cute, and they sell their own merchandise too. There is seating outside as well if you'd like to people watch and enjoy the Long Beach weather. read more

I got the bees in the trap tonic and it was yummy. $8 for coffee which is kind of pricey but this was really good considering I'm usually taken aback by the intensity and bitterness of coffee/espresso drinks. Vibes and aesthetics were simple and clean. It's a pretty good place to study and get work done. There's free wifi and outlets (located at the tables against the wall and table with high chairs. I went around 11am/12pm on a Sunday and there were a good amount of tables indoors as well as a few outdoors. It seems like a place for people to chat and hang out rather than a place to get work done though. Can't wait to try more drinks on the menu. The tonics seem really good. read more

This is my go to spot for coffee, to work on my laptop, or to get an incredible pastry. I've tried many local coffee shops since moving to Long Beach, but CoffeeDrunk far surpasses any of the others I've visited. They have fast internet, an aesthetic work environment, great music always, and the staff is so friendly. That's not even mentioning how great their food and drinks are. The blueberry brown sugar latte is literally the best coffee drink I've ever had. I'm sitting here drinking it and it's so good I felt compelled to write this review. I'm not a big breakfast person but I find myself getting a pastry every single time I come here because they're just so good. The butter croissant is the best I've had, which isn't a surprise considering everything they serve seems to be the best. $6 for a stingy coffee pour! My husband and I popped in here since they opened in our neighborhood. Ambiance is good but the pour and service are not. When you order a small cold brew you basically get a splash on ice. Gone in like 3 sips. Size up, you just get another cube and barely more. Finally I decided to order a large cold coffee, no ice... and the girl leaves an inch of room on top (and not a big cup so that's a lot of room). I ask why because I don't do milk and she said because I said no ice. Sooooo stingy! ITS COFFEE, not caviar!!! And pricey coffee at that! Not a good look. The employees vary in nice or could care less but the cold brew pour is still rough. If you don't mind expensive coffee in small portions you might like. We stopped going unfortunately after our last experience with the barista who wouldn't fill my cup. Wouldn't necessarily recommend. read more

I couldn't recommend this coffee shop enough! When moving to Long Beach I was looking for a new coffee shop to frequent. The service is impeccable, the drinks are consistent and quality is amazing, and it's SUCH a vibe! The staff is SO friendly/helpful and truly made me feel right at home in a new place. The barista at Coffee Drunk was just like a coffee bartender - fun and personable. I ordered the Dirty Mule - lime, mint, ginger beer & espresso. It was delicious and refreshing. My daughter had a dirty iced Chai Tea latte. She is a fan. She said she could really taste the espresso which isn't the case when she has ordered elsewhere. After hearing the rave about Coffee Drunk I had to make my way over to see what the buzz was about. Upon arriving there was a line out front and a bit packed inside so I said to myself, self.. This may be it girl!! Lol. The overall vibe of this coffee house was trendy and hipster(which I loved). The cashier was super friendly and sweet but the other employees not as much, even though it was a slight turn off I kept my eye on the prize. I decided to get the infamous Instigator!!! and let me tell you.. I was in heaven!! Omg this surely knocked my ol faithful Starbucks down a few notches lol. Found this place thanks to Yelp and love loved it. I came in on July 4th and I truly appreciate friendliness and customer service (I understand it sucks to work on a holiday) and the people that worked here were so welcoming despite being swamped with orders/people. I love their unique menu/combination of flavors, mostly the addition of mint (Baby LA drink) to one of their iced espresso coffee drinks (way better than Philz imo). I also ordered an Claim to Fame iced drink with maple which is one of my fave combos and it was great, not overly sweet and not overly milky, the perfect balance. I highly recommend this place and that most coffee lovers won't be disappointed with their offerings. Can't wait to come back. read more

Food - did not try their food. The side chick sandwich sounds yummy and a lot of the pastries looked bomb so I will be back. The coffee was delicious. I got one of the seasonal flavors with cardamom and definitely recommend. Service- no complaints. The servers were overly friendly with the regulars but I felt respected by them as a customer. Ambiance- a great amount of seating. And comfortable chairs too. It's lacks color so for me it was somewhat bland but still nice and neat looking. read more

Sweet little coffee joint I stumbled upon. I tried the Instigator (iced coffee) and was immediately hooked. It wasn't too sweet and you could still taste the coffee which I enjoyed however it has just a touch of sweetness that had you craving more. I will definitely go back and try something else but that damn drink was so good I don't want to make it mad so I will more than likely get the same thing. There is a decent amount of seating inside and it wasn't too packed when I was there but I imagine it gets pretty busy during peak times. The names on the menu were unique yet minimalist and the whole concept is pretty cool. read more

I visited this coffee shop when they first opened...during the Covid-19 pandemic!! Located in a residential/ light business area, this has potential to become a great gathering place for locals. It's not bitter, overly sweet, or too plain. Everything we tried tasted consistent and intentional. The prices are a little on the higher side, but based on the quality, I think it's worth it. Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

The owner, my hardworking friend and boss, Breezy spent many tireless days and nights to perfect her coffee shop before the soft opening during the COVID pandemic. When you step into the shop, you can immediately see her hard work. The atmosphere in the shop is beautiful and simple I visited the shop with my 2 friends during the soft opening weekend on December 13th and there was a line out the door. Breezy and Johnny clearly make the best coffee in Long Beach. Being born and raised in LB, I knew for a fact Coffee Drunk was going to be a hit from day 1. The coffee is authentic and amazing. The menu food and drinks are funny and super creative. She made me my favorite, an iced matcha drink with oat milk. One sip and you're hooked!! I've came here multiple times with my own to-go coffee cup. Whether I'm given a "bring your own cup" discount or not, always depends on who is ringing me up. If I'm not given the discount that day, I just let it be. But during my recent visit, I brought my own cup as per usual and I noticed on the POS screen my cup discount wasn't accounted for. So I thought I'd just kindly ask, "Does Coffee Drunk give discounts when customers bring in their own cup?" And the cashier answered, "No, we don't" To management: Get your employees aligned. Obviously, some cashiers know to give a cup discount or someone's giving discounts when they're no supposed to. Either way, this is very misleading. read more

There isn't much standing room in front of the counter, so when there was another customer standing by the wall, I thought it was her turn to order until she mentioned she was clueless on what drink(s) to get. I was clueless as well, so I used the opportunity to ask Jacob a handful of questions like what the drink sizes looked like, what the Aerocano was, and what Cortado was. Jacob answered my questions with ease and well enough that I was sold on the Aerocano. Some of the drinks on the menu are offered in two or even three sizes, but the Aerocano is one of the drinks that only comes in one size, 12 oz in this case. Interestingly enough, the back of my gift card listed Steelhead Coffee's other two locations, but not this one, so I wasn't sure if my gift card would work here. Sure enough, it did, but after paying, the tablet mentioned I could earn 50 points for putting in my phone number. I wanted to ask about their rewards program, but before Jacob could finish answering, the tablet went to a different screen. Unfortunately, there was no way for Jacob to go back and retroactively apply my phone number to the last order. I probably would have been interested in joining the rewards program, but this stroke of bad luck was enough to deter me from joining. While all that was going on, Ruben prepared my Aerocano so fast that I didn't have to wait any longer to start sipping on the drink, which is pretty much a black coffee and doesn't come with cream or sugar. There was quite a bit of foam on top of the Aerocano, which was a little more than I preferred. Also, even though I was told ahead of time it'd be in a 12 oz cup, I still felt I could have used a little more drink and a little less ice for the price point, which I'd still say is reasonable for a quick pick-me-up. Jacob was very friendly and helpful! If I rated them based on service alone, it'd be an easy 5. I even witnessed him making friendly conversation with other customers, likely regulars. As I went up to take a second look at the menu, he asked if I liked the Aerocano, to which I replied "not too shabby". I think he also mentioned that he was willing to remake the drink if something went awry, but I was satisfied with the taste of the Aerocano drink overall. While I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means, I don't think the Aerocano was that much different than a traditional Americano; like there are some subtle nuances between the two drinks that I wouldn't be able to describe, but I'm sure the connoisseurs could. Ruben was friendly too, greeting me as I entered through the front door. I did witness him crossing Redondo while I was enjoying my Aerocano, leaving Jacob as the lone barista in the shop for just a few minutes. But even on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't that busy that they could afford to take breaks like that. Inside the coffee shop, they have four round tables, each of which could seat two, as well as a couple of bar-style tables by the window. Between these bar-style tables is a small refrigerator of grab & go drinks like Olipop and Harmless Harvest. There are also five shelves of merch next to one of these tables, and I'm assuming this merch is for sale. They also have four two-seater tables outside if you prefer to sip your coffee/tea al fresco. They also serve some baked goods here. While I was placing my order, Jacob asked if I'd like any, but I didn't see any price tags on them. I was curious how much they cost, and he estimated between $4 and $8. I had just eaten a rather large lunch, so I passed on the baked goods. I also saw a couple of customers come in with their dogs, so they seem to be friendly to dogs as well. Parking was anything but easy. They don't have a parking lot in the immediate vicinity, so I had to circle around a few neighboring blocks before I found a spot on 1st St. I probably won't make a return visit since I don't find myself in this part of town as often, but if you do live nearby, I highly recommend patronizing Steelhead Coffee for a quick pick-me-up. I still have a remaining balance on my gift card, so I'll be looking forward to exhausting the remaining funds at the other two locations. Recommended!
