i cant resist this disgustingly sweet smell. its like some 90 year old guy just milked a cow while sitting on a rock and - bam - cold stone ice cream. (i had to spare you the details) so i got tricked into purchasing something that didnt have fro-yo in it. i was happy spending oodles of money on the pink/yogurt/ice/shit/waffle -berry's... until i walked by, nose in the air takin in that putrid sugary smell, and noticed there was only three people in line. i dragged my boyfriend inside within 2.4 seconds. a line out the door is the norm, and a small line is completely unheard of at 9pm. i was throwin 'bows to get past the fat hot topic chicks and be next in line. after kickin some faces in from the now growing bunch of rabid post-movie goers, i decided on a $6 bowl of cheesecake fantasy. i still dont understand whats so fantasmical about it... its just like fruit on a cheesecake. and when did the prices go up? i must have blinked or something. the ice cream master started mashing my $6 bowl together.... i then received a pureed version of the fantasmical picture on the wall i had been drooling at. my happiness meter was not very happy anymore. it tasted good... but not as good as the picture looked. i give you my money and this is what you do with it?! should of just kept it in my pocket. read more

The ice cream is very delicious. I usually stick to the traditional flavors. But this time I tried the cotton candy and it was amazing. I know it sounds very sugary but it isn't. It was actually very good. The girl helping us was very nice and the shop was clean and well maintained. They have outside seating with a lot of shops around. I just left a great toastmaster meeting with my boyfriend and we felt like a snack. Usually I go for a cafe but I'm trying to regulate my sleep. So we went for ice cream. We were immediately greatest by the employee who was serving another customer. She then continued serving that customer and within seconds another employee came out to greet us and take our orders. He held his patience with me as I'm very I decisive. What I liked most was when I asked for his favorite or opinions he informed me of what can be done for different options while suggesting what flavored may not go so well together. This is a form of customer service that is dying if not already dead in most businesses. Ever wonder why a restaurants get their food rating? I noticed the B rating at cold stone recently, yet we still ended up getting my daughter ice cream there. And maybe it was fate that her ice cream dropped on the sidewalk shortly after getting it. Because after finding out why they have a low rating, I am less inclined to ever go back this this particular cold stone. That fact that LA Public health has recorded that this place has an Active Rodent infestation should scare you away and right into one of the many other 'cleaner' ice cream/yogurt venues around downtown Burbank. I love Cold Stone! This particular location is just ALRIGHT. Line moves veerryyy slowly, the whole store looks grimy and sticky, lighting is awful. Last time I went there was even a light flickering in the corner- eek! I honestly dislike coming in here because the place is so ill-maintained. However, the ice cream is always perfectly frozen (not too hard, not too soft) and the staff is quite pleasant to interact with. PLEASE tidy up your store! Wipe down surfaces and all glass, counter by the register- everything. I understand ice cream is messy but there is no reason why this store should look the way it does. read more

I'm a fan of the chain. Love the candy bar toppings, although the york patties tend to get a little tough to chew in the cold ice cream. Parking structure is tough if you're coming only for ice cream in peak hours, but stopping by after dinner or after a movie is convenient. read more

Worst customer service ever. Manager is incompetent about assisting customers. Asked to cut a cake that we had purchased there, waited for two hours to pick it up and cake wasn't cut because it would "damage the integrity of the ice cream cake". As a kid I used to never like coldstone, and now that I have just realized just how amazing it really is, I keep hitting myself for not loving this when they were everywhere. Fortunately, Burbank is only a short distance from my house. So I have become loyal to this sweet eatery since my love for coldstones has evolved. The staff here is super nice, helpful, and patient. As any ice cream place you could try as many flavors as you would like which is nice. You could always make your own creation, or they have a number of already proven tasty creations. The only problem is that price point is really high, considering that "yogurt" is the new trend, and you could find equally tasty ice cream for cheaper. Regardless, I will be back. Yum. I can't wait to have more concoctions! read more

Now that they've changed store management the customer service is great and they are open long hours! I drive further to this location because there is more consistency with the product and I am almost always satisfied! Ice cream is just ok. The attitude of the dude behind the counter with the gap in his teeth when I didn't leave a tip was brutal. He basically grew my receipt in my face. He is also very condescending on how he addresses everyone that walked in. The other guy was fine but he wasn't helping me except for answering a question. Staff was very friendly during my visit. It's important to have a good staff and good service, it's amazing how some business's forget this. The night I went they were all helpful and friendly and made my cookies and cream milkshake the way I wanted, so it turned out great for me. I have been to this location many times before and have had a few lackluster experiences with staff in the past (a year ago) but this time around was great! The shake was great too! The only reason I had walked into this ice cream shop was because of the fiery death that I had experienced at the Buffalo Wild Wings nearby. It was a clever move putting an ice cream shop next to that place and it was targeted at idiots like me that eat the blazing wings as a dare. They have an okay variety of flavored there but it could be more varied. Also, their weren't as many toppings as I expected. I had the raspberry sorbet and it was a little to sweet for my taste. It honesty tasted like frozen corn syrup. My Friends seemed to enjoy their ice cream though after the painful sensation caused by the wings. I think I'll visit a different ice cream shop next time I end up with the devil's taste on my tongue. read more

So I ordered a customized birthday cake from this Cold Stone location, using the options that the cold stone site gave me. When I picked up the cake I was in a hurry and only noticed that the writing on the cake was really sloppy. I was like fine sloppy writing I can look past. When I got home and looked at the cake carefully I was that it was just plain ugly, like they gave the cake to a 6 year old to make for me. I was amazed that who ever made this cake decided that it was A-OK to give to the customer. This was not a cheap cake by the way. It was the most ugly and unprofessional looking cake I have ever seen. I was originally going to give them a 1-2 star rating but the manager was really nice about the situation and let me replace my cake with some others. So my advice to everyone else, don't get a customized cake from here just get the ones that they normally make. read more
