I went into coldstone at the Hayward location. I absolutely love the ice cream there. Dione is the lovely young lady that helped us. She was very friendly and very professional. There was a rude customer that was yelling at her and she kept her cool. When it was our turn she was the same one to help us and she didnt let that ruse customer affect her mood she handled us with kindness and we got our ice cream quick and correctly. I love this place with all my heart! I usually go there once in a while (even though I would like to go more often, but my diet says otherwise). The ice cream and cakes are amazing and holy. I live for the "birthday cake remix" which is the birthday cake ice cream with brownie bits and sprinkles. I've always loved coldstone for their unique, rich and creamy ice cream flavors. Their freshly mixed add ins make it even better! It's hard not to give compliments for this place. I called several weeks ago to get "the most colorful and glittery cupcakes you can possibly make" for my friend's daughter's birthday. When I went to pick up them up yesterday, my expectations were entirely blown out of the water. They did a beautiful job and every one of those two dozen cupcakes (including some vegan ones!) were colorful and glittery. Thanks to Bali & the entire staff for a great experience. I believe there were two young ladies working when I came in. I know for sure ones name was Zoe because she helped me and I believe the other young ladies name was Lexy. I really liked this location because I came in right before closing and they did not seem annoyed with my presence nor did they rush me out because they wanted to close like any other teenagers would have! 5 stars because Zoe was very patient with me as she dealt with me trying multiple flavors and I loved the choice she suggested for me which was Birthday Cake Remix! I am a ice cream lover and I have been to many cold stone locations however this one was the best cold stone I have been to! Amazing service from Zoe and Lexy and an overall good vibe in there... I rarely go to Cold Stone but after going here I will never come back. I was there earlier today around 3 p.m. (You think for the middle of January and in the afternoon it would be pretty slow, which it was.) My girlfriend and I were going the only ones waiting to be helped. Two girls were clocking in and walked up to us and desperate times,ignored us, worked on something small and went back to talk to the other employees in the back. The shift supervisor or manager did at least acknowledge us and said "we will be right with you." I acknowledged and said "no problem". (She was working hard on a current customers order) I see all the women chatting in the back (5 women) and yet no one could help us to take a simple order. After five minutes of this we couldn't take it anymore. We walked out. I don't blame the manager, she was at least trying but the team at this store does no seem to care about what little customers that come in during one of the coldest months of the year. If this is how Cold Stone views their customers for their already high ice cream price then it wouldn't surprise me if they shut down like the rest of the failing retail companies. -Spencer read more

Walked into Cold Stone on a hot day about a week ago with my two daughters and the first thing we see is the manager yelling at her emoloyees. She was telling these kids they can't scoop ice cream right! It made no sense to me. She also took my order, she had a very unplesant attitude. Good ice cream, not family friendly. I bought 4 love it size ice creams and sat down. My son needed to use the bathroom really badly and the employee there wouldn't let him use it. We had to pack up and leave. I totally get that they might have other people that aren't customers trying to use the bathroom but I was clearly a paying customer. This is one of my favorite ice cream places I love going there. There ice cream there is really tasty creme me very delicious. I totally like the parking theres a lot of parking. Bathrooms are really clean. I love the decoration I love how it's set up to. what I have noticed every time I want it is that they need more people to work. The service is really good. The prices for the ice cream is really good price. I got I love it it's a medium size cup of ice cream I got was bubblegum with some sprinkles and gummy bears in side . What I like about this place is that you basically make your own ice cream I really mix it really good you can put anything you want. read more

Yuck. we wanted ice cream and had nowhere to eat it :( Their brownie was microwaved and therefore not great...chewy but not in a good way. I go here when I'm feeling particulary nostalgic and depressed about not living close to Mitchell's in S.F. anymore. Yeah, it's a poor substitute, but this is the best I could come up with seeing that Mitchell's is a bridge and $3 a gallon away. Since it's a perfect day for ice-cream. We came here right after school to cool down. There were around 10 people in front of me already. It took about 30 mins until us. Typical !!! I knew that already. Got in line for 10 mins they said they ran out of almond and pecan. Really? Out of almond? Just what we wanted but it's fine. The thing that I was really frustrated was that when it's finally our turn, we ordered "gotta love it" size with coffee, mint, walnut (substitute for almond) and chocolate chip, and when we got our ice cream cup, it was only like a "love it" size with very little topping. I mean what's the point of having three different cup size if you actually only gonna give customers two. Our cup was just almost fill. So basically, we paid "gotta have it" price in exchange for a "love it" size. Wont be back here again!!!!! Rather go a little further to get what we paid for. read more

So, I have been coming to this location for a while for their Mudpie Mojo whenever my family has a craving. Customer Service was eh, ok not fabulous, but it'll do.... However, I came back today and ordered an Everybody size.... The lady put a bunch of ice cream on the "cold stone" some chocolate fudge syrup, 2 tsp of peanut when I stopped her and asked her to put more since the two tsp would combine with all that ice cream. She responded that they get 6 mixings in all, so she was just balancing it out. I didn't quite understand that since I have never just got that little peanut butter for that size. So, she put another tsp. The she tossed in 1 tsp of nuts and 2 cookies. Seriously???? 2 cookies chopped and mixed would probably just cover 1/2 of the hunk of ice cream... So, again, I stopped her and told her that they usually put at least 4 cookies in there. Again, she started with the 6 mixings and anything extra would require additional cost. I was just irritated at that point and asked foot a couple more to be mixed in there in which I paid $1 extra. it will be the last time I am a patron of cold stone at this location. This branch was just substandard compared to the one located at Fremont Hub. On a Sunday evening, there were only two ice cream makers working for the whole store. The customer line was way past out the door. I guess I shouldn't blame the workers for being indirectly grumpy, but I could feel that they weren't happy about the whole thing. Anyways, aside from just scheduling two workers, there was no quality control on their ice cream. The management served freezer burnt ice cream. I only eat Rocky Road when I go to Cold Stone, so I honestly could tell how a Rocky Road ice cream tastes like. The chocolate ice cream that they used for my Rocky Road was over-to-the-max frozen. Burnt frozen, that is. It tasted really weird. I won't be coming back to this branch. They don't sing when they get a tip as well. I got spoiled by the Fremont Hub branch, I'll stick to them instead. read more

For the most part I've always enjoyed getting my ice cream here and it's been really good. But the last time I went I was very disappointed with how my sundae was made. It was made with more syrup than ice cream that by the time I got it home to eat, the almost all of the ice cream had melted. I knew something was wrong when I was watching my sundae being made. I should have said something when I noticed the amount of ice cream was different than other times I've gotten it. Not only did the worker mess up the ice cream, she didn't have very good customer service. It really sucks when you go to get something to eat and you're expecting something to be really good and than it turns out really bad. Worst customer service ever. I just want to start by saying I have never written a negative yelp review ever but I just had to hope that the manager of this store reads this and offers some feedback to his or her staff. I was just there (Friday , August 25, 2017 at 5:00) after a 12 hour day at work. When I walked in there was one young lady helping a customer with a big order making pints and another worker helping the young father and son in front of me. I waited a few minutes and Then I noticed a lot of commotion in the back. There was a total of 6 workers playing around in the back. One was swatting another one with a large spoon and they were yelling. I made eye contact with one thinking. Oh now that they see me. One of the 5 people back there will come out. Well I was wrong. No one came out. Once the lady was done with helping the father and his son she helped me. As she is helping me another girl comes out to just stand and watch her and then proceeds to tease her because of the way she put my lid on my ice cream. This is all while the girls in the back are yelling about going out after work. Going to karaoke. Then as the girl helping me was trying to slide my card a young girl stood in front of her at the cash machine doing something with receipts. The girl helping me had to move around her. Then this same girl began singing a Niki Minage song "My anaconda don't want done unless you got buns Hun!" In front of the small child eating ice cream with his dad and she continued with the song even as I was leaving. There were two young ladies working hard and being professional. A girl with maroon colored glasses and a girl with a flower tattoo on her arm. Sorry I didn't have their names but I think it's important they get acknowledge for their professionalism. read more
