It's been years since I had my last ice cream treat at Cold Stone in Westwood close to UCLA and it's time I had a refreshmént. The staffer Landon was helpful and accommodating enough to wear new gloves before preparing my treat. From the menu, I chose the Strawberry Blonde: strawberry ice cream, fresh slices of real strawberries, graham cracker pieces for crunch factor and whipped cream in a small cup which seemed generous. After the mixology of the ingredients on the frozen cold stone marble, the finished results looked and tasted delightfully good and not too sweet yay! My picky pup doesn't like all ice cream but really enjoyed this cool Strawberry Blonde creation at this Cold Stone creamery...gotta have some! Worth it!! read more

Mud pie mojo in Gotta Have It (large) for $9.99: this coffee ice cream concoction is pure perfection with layers of sweetness and contrast in textures. The oreo cookie crumbles, peanut butter, almonds, and the fudge drizzle makes this magical. Silly me asked for a lid because I only planned to eat half, but I couldn't stop and just ate it all, 5/5 stars! There was a line out the door bcuz there was only one employee that was on-site. I got a small Peanut Butter cookie dough ice cream with Snickers as my topping. It ended up being like $7, pretty expensive for essentially one small scoop of ice cream. You can try other flavors before ordering, but there was a pretty long line and it could feel like you're being rushed at times. They were also out of some ice cream flavors. I wouldn't recommend getting Snickers as a topping, for me at least the topping wasn't mashed properly, leaving a huge glob of Snickers in the middle of my ice cream, which was also 1/3 of the total amount of ice cream there was. Because it wasn't smashed it hardened from the cold making it very brittle and tough to chew. read more

Terrible customer service. The young woman who helped us today had the worst attitude and even insisted for my husband to tip her. I wouldn't mind paying 9 dollars for a single scoop if at least the staff was friendly. But whoever was working there around 2 pm ish needs some serious re training. Don't bother going here if you are a cop or first responder. The staff will make fun of you and try to start a fight. Came here with my 2 kids and husband who was wearing a back the blue hat and an employee did not like it. He was rude, kept saying that it was missing the pride colors and would not stop. My daughter has sensory issues and gets stressed around people so she and he b- lined it out if there. No sense in arguing with someone who is hateful. He just said no, it doesn't have all the colors because this is in support of the police and left it at that. Funny thing is we back the blue and LGBTQ+. But perpetual failure to honor gift cards is not acceptable--it's one thing to have a temp issue with a card reader, but this location flat out doesn't accept gift cards ever. We were standing in line 30 minutes before closing. There were a lot of people so the line was out the door. The large group in line in front of us had just walked into the door and there was not enough room for everyone to stand inside so we kept waiting outside. Just as we were about to walk inside, an employee came and locked the door. It was 9:30 and the business closed at 10, so we knocked on the door to ask why they had locked us out. The employee that came to the door was extremely rude and unprofessional. He didn't have a good reason not to serve us besides wanting to close early. I am beyond disappointed with this place. I special ordered a cake. Strawberry ice cream with chocolate cake. They mustve finished making the cake when I walked in because it melted by the time I got to car. I am beyond mad. My 7 yo couldnt get a nice birthday party, which he understood and asked for this cake. Now because of the so called "manager" incompetence my child got neither. I got my money refunded but that doesnt help me. I even asked the night before if there was plenty of time for my cake and the guy who assisted me assured me that there was. He said he would make it that night ao it would be ready by 4pm next day. All the cakes ive purchased and ordered from cold stone take like 20-30 minutes chilling before its soft enough to cut and eat. We were in San Diego for Memorial Day Weekend and visited this business twice. The first night, my ice cream was perfect and the woman making it put the right amount of toppings in. No complaints and I really enjoyed it. I went back the next day for another "Pie Who Loved Me" and ordered the same small ice cream. The guy making it clearly didn't know what he was doing, hence my ice cream was missing most of it's toppings. I think this cost $7-$7.30, I am sorry but for that price it should be made right. I have a Starbucks maybe 1-2x a month, whenever I go there they have good quality control and my coffee tastes just right. Why can't this place?
