Half rack of ribs and coleslaw - lots of food and excellent sauce
    Lisa H.

Awesome food- fresh out of the oven, excellent flavors. Service was great despite the huge crowd from a local festival! Their staff knows how to multi-task! They are also flexible to make changes like subbing fried chicken for grilled, removing eggs from the salad etc

    Lunch at the Q

Came here for lunch after strolling around the Napa Farmers Market. They had just opened amd we were seated in a booth. The inside had a good vibe with amazing pictures on display. Brenda was our server and was very welcoming towards us. I've been wanting to try their BBQ for some time, and decided to order the Q for 2 plate ($59). The plate comes with a generous portion of beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken, pork ribs, and beef sausage along with a side of coleslaw enough for two people to share. All the meats had amazing flavor and were tender and juicy to the bite. The coleslaw wasn't too creamy with the right amount of touch and was fresh. I enjoyed the brisket and the beef sausage the most out of it all, but everything was great. I will say, however, though the ribs were amazing I think their dry rub was a slight bit excessive. I almost gasped from the back of the throat after taking a bite it was a little too much. Very tasty, but just needed to be toned down a touch. Overall, this is a nice spot to check out if you're in the mood for some good BBQ. Would definitely return to try more of their items.

Old Fashioned and another fruity drink (forgot the name)

Came here for restaurant month (It's usually restaurant week), but hopefully this month thing sticks around and becomes permanent. The deal was pretty good ($26) for the chicken plate, pimento app and key lime dessert. The pot pie and salad was $26 as well but obviously didn't come with any extras. The fruity drink was apparently unimpressive being that I totally forgot what it was BUT I do have to say that the Old Fashioned was excellent! If you do come here and get the fried chicken, you HAVE to try sprinkling some of their spicy vinegar on it. Sounds weird but trust me, it works! They do have multiple bbq sauces available if that's more your thing. I'd definitely come back

This was a fantastic and convenient pre-show dinner option before heading to the Blue Note down the street! We were a party of 6, and I was able to make a reservation same day using Google Assistant (!) for a Sunday early dinner. When we arrived the place was hardly full, yet was full of warmth from our server who sat us promptly. On the way in, I noticed their well appointed and shiny bar area and I could tell there were a few regulars posted up enjoying the Sunday NFL lineup over cocktails (noted, a great place to do so!) Now on to the food...admittedly I was raised on Flints (RIP) and Everette and Jones while growing up in Oakland, plus a family of grill masters, so my tastes have been shaped by these bay BBQ classics, but I have to admit, The Q was solid! The highlights for me were the tender ribs, smoked chicken, pulled pork, crunchy fried chicken, and ALL the sides! Those particular meats were tender and flavored perfectly! I especially loved the greens and cornbread, and hubby was really impressed with the mac and cheese! I liked *less* the brisket and sausage -- I found the brisket sliced a bit too thick and not as tender I'd prefer it. And the sausage texture was also not my personal preference - I like less structure and more fatty, tender texture. One good thing my party appreciated was the BBQ sauce selections on the side - so you can sauce it up to your preference! Highly recommend the "Taste of the Q" for two - we ordered two of those for a party of six and had more than enough with the sides + basket of fried chicken with leftovers to take home! We will definitely be back and I am so glad to know we have a great BBQ option with lovely ambience in the area!

Hubby and I were looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Nothing to heavy. We walked down main street and a few of the restaurants were closed, closing or not open yet at 2:45pm. We decided to go to Q R&B since it was on the list of places we wanted to try while in Napa. After looking at the menu, a salad or sandwich were my two options since I wanted something light. I went with the quarter pounder cheeseburger with fries and decided to split it. The staff was nice and very helpful. I love the setup of the restaurant. We sat in a small booth in the corner. There's a huge bar when you walk in. There table seating as well. They also have outdoor seating but it was starting to get warm so we sat inside. The burger was juicy and pleasing to eat. I loved the mild tomato based BBQ sauce. And French fries hit the spot. We decided to come back later for either the key lime pie or strawberry shortcake.

I went for a special menu event - Chicken and Bubbles. I love this restaurant and they have a great happy hour. Great outside seating during the spring, summer, and fall. I ordered the pimento cheese from the happy hour menu. I ordered the flight of bubbles and the Cajun fried chicken from the special menu. It's was all very good. Friendly staff, great food, super atmosphere.

Q for two with a side of cornbread

I came with a friend to The Q Restaurant and Bar on a Saturday evening around 6pm, and it was moderately busy. By the time we finished our meal, the restaurant was pretty full! It's a nice welcoming place, with some nice photos on the walls and comfy seating, and it looks like there might be a private room in the back available as well if you're hosting a larger group! We shared a butter lettuce salad, which was light, fresh and crisp, followed by the very generously portioned "A Taste of the Q for Two". This included baby back ribs, chicken, brisket, pulled pork, and spicy beer sausage, as well as a pretty large side of coleslaw, which we were allowed to pick from the 4 different options on their menu. We really liked the ribs, which were fall off the bone, and the brisket. The sausage and chicken were okay as well, but the pulled pork was quite dry. We got the pepper vinegar coleslaw, which was a nice light crunchy refreshing bite to cut through the meats :) Last but not least, we got the cast iron cornbread skillet which comes with honey butter - this was so gooood, not too sweet, soft with a little crispy crust and comforting - definitely get this! Overall, The Q was a nice place to grab a plate of bbq to share with a friend! I'll be back for the cornbread, with some ribs and brisket :)

Back again! Had a wonderful meal with a friend who had never been to the Q and she loved it! We went during Happy Hour which is best in town! 50% off many drinks! Happy Hour also has a great small menu... I love the pimento cheese plate.. As always the service was great and very attentive. Fun music playing and just an overall fun vibe! I did try something different.. the friend chicken sandwich...delicious with Perfectly cooked fries.

Came in for happy hour with a friend. Located downtown with plenty of street parking. I walked in and was not immediately greeted. It was busy, packed at the bar, and there were a few small tables inside at the front. I waited for a minute until the host lead me to a table. The hostess was very friendly and brought water for the table. She knew I was waiting for a friend so interaction was minimal which i appreciated. I perused the menu and my friend arrived. We ordered immediately: guacamole and chips to share and we each ordered the brisket tacos. The guacamole was bright with lots of lime, but not worth $10. The brisket tacos were delicious, they give you two, but they were small, and it also came with salsa verde which tied it all together, beautifully. I would order this again. Service was excellent. They grabbed our plates when we finished our food and the hostess gave us hot towels for our hands. That was nice. I would definitely come back to try their dessert next. I used the bathroom before I left, lighting wasn't great but it was clean!

I love both the BBQ at the Q and salads. I have eaten most of the dishes at the Q . I have been eating here since it opened almost a decade ago. Great staff and with every year I have eaten there it has gotten better and better. I love the BBQ AND it is my favorite restaurant for salads, which I love to eat in Napa. Really tasty lemon-lime pie/tart. I love the larger space they are in. And Gene & The staff are great. It is a diamond in the rough.

Yesterday, my sister and I were very hungry and were in town. We looked at a few places and landed on this restaurant. We seen it was rated high and we found items we could eat. So we came here. It was around 3:00 PM so it was quiet. We got seats in the back and they turned on the heater as it was a little cold! Brenda was our server and let me tell you her and 2 other gentleman were sooooo attentive to us! They took our plates and drinks when we're done. They took our orders when we were ready! They were awesome! Now the food was good! The deviled eggs were delicious! I am not a fan of pickles so my sister had them and she almost ate the whole thing! I told her to stop so she can eat her food! She had the Fish and Chips while I had the Fried Chicken Meal! Her food was so good (we tried each other food) and mines was so delicious! the collard greens had a kick to em! The food was so hot we had to slow down and wait to eat. The drinks were great! We both had the Floor is Guava and it was tasty! Overall a good experience! Once we left, I definitely noticed there were more people here! Definitely would come back here!

It was my last day before leaving the area and I'm thankful that we did miss out on this jewel. It's located, vipers and food were awesome. The service was amazing, it was clean with plenty of light to people watch without being overwhelmed. Savannah our server was simply amazing

GO! This place has solid food especially fried chicken, greens, lemon dessert. And the best is happy hour for 1/2 off bottles and apps. Go!

After we finished eating, I frantically researched (read: checked Yelp) for a winery to visit. Housley seemed to fit the bill--good reviews, dog-friendly (we had her dog with us), and what seemed to be a reasonable tasting price. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. I wish our wine tasting could've been free if we bought two bottles or something--I would've done that! Cute merch and store with goodies inside. Bathroom is clean. Would be back!

We started with the Dungeness Crab arancini, which are probably the best thing we ate all evening, and that's saying a lot because everything we had was great. These arancini are perfectly fried crab meat rolled into a ball served over a delicious tartar sauce. I wish I had 3 orders of this, at least. We ordered the soup of the day and their bread service. The soup was a white bean and sausage and it was perfectly salty and fatty. The bread and butter was a perfect accompaniment. The Carpe Diem salad was also really special. It had these Cabernet soaked dried cranberries that were so good and tart. For an entree, we ordered the short ribs which come over a risotto. It felt a little heavy, and maybe the sauce could've used a little acid to cut the heaviness. It was still really delicious though. For dessert, we had the espresso crème brûlée. This was just the icing on the cake of a great meal. I love Carpe Diem and hope to come back soon!

Steve absolutely nailed it. He welcomed us warmly, shared thoughtful stories about the wines and the winery, and made the experience feel incredibly personal. The tasting room itself is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem in Napa. We especially loved learning about the wines and the woman winemaker behind Levendi.
