Espressoda

We found this place upvoted on Reddit and it did not disappoint as one of the best coffee spots in the neighborhood. I don't think you can go wrong with what you order. They seem to really care about the way the coffee is prepared. The pastries are fresh and decadent. The service was very friendly and helpful with providing recommendations. There were a few people working on laptops, so this seems like a great place to get some reading and work done as it had a calm and quiet atmosphere. I also noticed a film vending machine, and a drop off spot to get camera film developed. I love that this is available. I can't wait to go back.

This teeny-tiny and unassuming place has some fantastic coffee! Our first visit (of many to come) my wife got an espressoda and I grabbed an iced latte. Both drinks were great but the espressoda is worth going out of your way for. The staff is great and the service was really quick despite how busy they were. The only drawback is how small the seating area is.

This is a fabulous addition to Newport! I recently visited to catch up with a friend on a Sunday morning. It was pretty quiet when we first arrived, but as the morning went on it got a bit busier. I decided to try their autumn specialty latte and it was a delicious choice topped off with beautiful latte art. The barrister was friendly and efficient with making our orders. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming- it was a wonderful place to spend a Sunday morning.

Talented, social, and gives great energy. The boutique was very comfortable and cozy. The service was excellent starting at the moment you walked through the door. Rolling out a red carpet would make it better. I really enjoyed the story explaining the operation and the push for excellence. Analog pushes to make every barista to be better and to push the envelope. The mission is to have an environment where you want to see all baristas instead of the "favorite one". The means the team will work to all be at their best and consistent with the signature and seasonal menu items. Another unique feature is that each barista is responsible for creating an exclusive drink for the menu which refreshes every 6 weeks. This is legitimately your non-Alcoholic bar in the way they operate. A cool thing was the crafted drinks have their own personal stories attached to them and are not from chat gpt or google inspiration. Aside from the coffee focus Shelby was able to provide some great recommendations for the area and providing a local insight. I'm going to highly recommend anyone in the Cincinnati or Kentucky area to please go visit them. 5/5

We came in to celebrate our anniversary and were greeted with a smile and a knowledgeable barista who walked us through each drink, and gave his personal recommendations. We were able to have a great conversation and he was so attentive and he actually listened and cared about what we were talking about. The coffees and pastries we ordered were even better than we imagined, and after seeing next seasons menu we will be returning for another trip. 5 stars for the ambiance, Devon, drinks and pastries.

The restaurant was clean and comfortable. They have outside seating, which could be nice in the right weather, though the area is just feet from the main drag. Our server was fine. I have no real recollection of them. We ordered a deep dish, looking to find a pizza as good as Zachary's in California. Bourbon House Pizza is not as good as Zachary's, but it is the best deep dish pizza we've tried in the Cincinnati area since we've been back in Cincinnati since 2021. We made our own pizza in an attempt to match our favorite - spinach and mushrooms. It was good. I enjoyed the sauce on top. Under the sauce, the cheese was very thick making the overall taste of the pizza very cheesy. We had a similarly cheese deep dish in Chicago. Our pizza at Bourbon House was better. I will say the crust is thick. I would have eaten the crust if there had only been two pieces per person. Since I was faced with potentially eating four pieces, I opted to skip the crust. One of our group asked if she could order from the kid's menu. The server had no issue with the request. Oddly enough, her meal was huge! We were all surprised it was a kid's meal. Our fourth ordered a small pizza. It looked like it had pineapple on it. I didn't ask how it was, but he ate every bite. It must have been a small and it was the perfect single serving size. Oh... we ordered a medium deep dish. It was eight pieces and was too much for two people. Because we were going to a show after dinner, we didn't box up the leftover two pieces. This size pizza would be great for four people to share. We will continue to look for great deep dish pizza, but we definitely found a good one at Bourbon House Pizza.

We hadn't been to Newport on the levee in a while and were quite surprised at how few people were around. Idk if it's normally like this now or if something was going on, but it was kind of shocking. We got the pretzels and cheese appetizer, which was good. We know deep dish takes longer to make and cook, but we didn't see our waitress or our pizza for an hour after we ordered. The pizza was good, not great. I can describe it as the thickness and weight that most people that haven't had a real deep dish would think it should be. The crust is very dense, not light and airy. It's also kind of spicy, which I liked, but my wife didn't. It was kind of loud, even though there weren't very many people in there. They also have TVs with sports on all over, so it's kind of a sports bar/sit down restaurant. We would recommend it and would probably go back.
