Vanilla Latte + Soft Scrambled Egg Toast

Such a dope spot to be in. You can easily chill outside or take it to go and walk the waterfront across the street. Great staff, really personable. Prices are pretty ridiculous but it's a trendy place so it is what it is. Coffee is pretty good, the brekkie is slept on. Someone dap up the cook in the back. He's doing the lord's work.

Downgrading my review.. I was excited to have this expanded space of what was once my favorite local bakery. But I finally got to try their pizza offerings and honestly, I'm unimpressed. It looks pretty and it's tasty but it's way too doughy as well.. In addition, they don't often come out with new products so I find myself gravitating towards other bakeries that frequently offer new and seasonal items on their menu. And as I said before, they went to a no tipping policy and increased their prices but then they reverted back to tipping while maintaining those raised prices..

Usually, I really enjoy their iced vanilla lattes and their Midsommar Latte. However, the past five times I've ordered either of the two, it has been disappointing every time. The ratio is off and it's just not as good as it could be. I'm a fan of their Passion Fruit Matcha Tonic. It's not a drink I would normally order but I'm glad I did because it's delicious! I've ordered it at least twice and it's been consistently good. Their pizza is YUM. The Rosa was really good and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Smashed Fingerling Potatoes: these were just ok. Nothing super special about them. I love potatoes so they do the job when I want potatoes. Croissant Breakfast Sandwich: very greasy. This one was a thumbs down for me. Parking can be difficult to find, but I'm usually able to find one.

So happy we got to try this place out for a matcha and croissant! Parking is easy-ish to find around the building depending on the time you go. We have had their brownie and that is fantastic, would absolutely go back for that. Matcha was a 4/10. It was pretty much just milk, but there was no grainy-ness so that was nice. I wouldn't get it again, I would come back to try their coffee though. Cinnamon Sugar Knot was like a 6/10. It was a little hard to bite into on the top but the bottom was nice and flaky and tasted great. Would come back to try their pizza, I've heard that's good!

Giving them - 4 Stars because it's not a great location to work from as they don't have readily available outlet plugs by the seating areas which I found to be weird in a cafe in such a prime location. I had to charge my laptop away from my table by the entrance near the line of people and merch bookcase. I definitely won't be back here when I want to work on my computer, even though I love this view and ambiance here. Croissant Breakfast Sandwich 4 stars for their croissant bacon and egg sandwich. I had to ask them to reheat it. The portion/size is great - the flavor is great but you have to eat it while it's hot otherwise it's subpar. Matcha 3 stars for their matcha. I'm a matcha snob and am very picky when it comes to matcha. I wish it was slightly more ceremonial tasting. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something is missing with the taste of the matcha. I'm not sure if it's the type of milk they use (I've tried several different milk options they have and no luck). I really wanted to love the matcha here because there isn't a solid place in San Pedro that serves great matcha. I'll go here in a pinch when I want to experience their ambiance and want a quick matcha fix, but not my first pick. Staff I wish their staff was a bit more personable for this type of niche local coffee/bakery shop. In a smaller town, this goes a long way. It just felt very impersonal as a local. But love the generally ambiance/view - who can beat being in front of the waterfront? Location 5 stars for location because as I mentioned they have great views and outdoor patio seating. Parking 3 stars, this is hit or miss. You may end up circling around a few times until you find a spot. Bring quarters or your card with you as everything around is metered parking. I believe their main location is in Long Beach, I'd be curious to try the matcha at that location to see if the quality is different. As I said, I'll come here to read a book, relax and enjoy the matcha (just a matcha snob wishing it was a bit bolder and true to matcha culture). I've heard great things about this place, I definitely want to try their other menu items - if anyone has any recommendations please share!

Everything I get here is absolutely delicious. The consistency is awesome. Coffees are always made fresh and delicious. Their BLT was everything I wanted and more. Of course it's on their bread. Service is kind and quick. Inside was super nice and comfortable enough for me to hang out and study. Outdoor seating is available too (dog friendly).

This review is for the coffee, pastries and desserts only. When my sister comes to visit me from Northern California, she always goes to classes. The coffee's are perfect, not too sweet, but always rich and creamy. The pastries and the bread, incredible! Have never had a bad one. The showstopper....I had their Keylime pie and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had! It's a special they have for holidays, and the 4 in pie is $18....which is steep, but it is worth every cent. I highly recommend.

Great place!! I love their bread and pastries. Will always recommend. I love the extended hours of this location compared to Alma location or if items are out of stock there I can just drive here. Tried the sweet scone today. And a twice baked croissant to take home... (my favorite)

Whenever people ask me what's in San Pedro, I always say there's nothing exciting. Well, Colossus is one of the exceptions. We don't have very many great places to brag about here, but this place is one of them! The first one was on Alma and 24th st and they close pretty early. There's another location and Long Beach, but they close around 5 or 5. This place is open til 8! I've been to this location a few times and although it's small, it's bright and inviting. I can't remember all the things I've had but the recent ones was a the lavender honey latte. That was pretty good. I usually get a milk alternative like oat milk. The OG cookie is one of my favorites you should definitely try it. 5 stars The financier is pretty good too! 5 stars Also the vegan double chocolate cookie is like 5 stars. I can't remember the other items I've had but try them! I'm definitely coming back!

    Midsommar latte iced
    Tara F.

This location is right on the main street of Harbor blvd so you got to find parking on the street I didnt order food so this is solely based on the drink i ordered which is their iced Midsommar latte ($8.50) A little pricey compared to other coffee shops but its because they use quality ingredients and coffee beans that you can taste. It was balanced with just enough sweetness and from the cold foam which i liked didnt really care for the garnish that was sprinkled at the top which i believe was fennel and something else it just left a robust after taste onve you get to the bottom of the drink. Overall a really good quality of coffee

Cheese and basil pizza no tomato sauce

This location is very accessible on the corner, super cute decor, love the yellowish glass vases and old gold touches. I'm bummed cause I came for the avocado toast, hoping for some egg/brunch like dish and was hopeful at 430 pm and that menu is offered up until 4pm! So I opted for a pizza, with a white sauce (ricotta option only) basil and garlic. It was ok, a bit thick for my taste... pepperoni was added on accident, I decided to just keep it bcs I was meeting a family so thought they may enjoy that. I also ordered an ice vanilla latte with a caramel swirl and that was delicious. The Caesar salad was ok, something spicy in it, and I love cheese just not crazy about the choice of cheese for this salad. The young man taking my order wasn't the most enthusiastic and the young lady making my drink made up for it as well as the cooks were nice and acknowledged my presence (I sat all the way towards the kitchen). Will be back bcs it's a great meeting spot, I'll make sure to make it before 4 pm :)

What a great spot on Harbor accross from the fisherman's Wharf area in San Pedro. The staff were welcoming, professional and kind. The vibe and ambiance was positive and chill. My wife ordered the Chicken Caesar Sandwich and I had the French omelet. My wife had hot water and I had a café americano. Lux was our server and was professional, kind and efficient. Highly recommended.

My husband has had this place bookmarked for a couple of months, and we were excited to give it a try. We were in the area for an errand and stopped by before we headed home. Our experience was underwhelming with a hint of strangeness. We ordered one of each of the following items: a pecan sticky bun, a cinnamon sugar knot, a traditional croissant, a kouigan amann, and a pan con tomato, with two drip coffees. The cost was at least $48 without tip. We smelled the fresh garlic from the pan con tomato, yet it was still bland. The caramel on the sticky bun was tough. The sugar knot and croissant were just OK. The kouigan amann was the best of all the food items if I had to choose. Lastly, the coffee was OK. Theres both indoor and outdoor dining areas. It was a cold morning so we opted for inside. Now for the strange part. We reached the counter and started placing our order. The person was entering them into the POS system. In the middle of my husband ordering, the person taking our order starts conversing with the two baristas behind him, as if my husband wasn't in the middle of ordering. It was strange and rude. After placing our order, he grabs a box and asks us again which pastries we ordered. It could be an off day. I don't know, it wasn't a pleasant experience. We'll pass on this location, but might try the OG location on Alma St. and maybe have a better experience.

At first, they seemed organized as they called out names for pick-up and the flow was going. However, once our 70 minutes passed, we moved inside so we wouldn't miss our order. We checked in and finally got our food. The pizza seemed to be missing lots of pepperoni, but we didn't want to complain because we were so hungry. The wings were disappointing--bloated and soggy. To top off the chaos, a guy walked in while we were eating, and the staff shouted out the name "Brett." He looked amazed that they "knew him", anyway they handed him the order without checking the system. Ten minutes later, he came back saying he had the wrong pizza because it had pineapple. Meanwhile, a frustrated woman was waiting for her pineapple pizza, and the real Brett was outside drinking a beer! "Random Brett" had just come out of nowhere and was given the wrong order. Every mistake was given a "10-minute fix" estimate. The cashier was explaining to t the kitchen that she's getting yelled at by customers for all the blunders, and while there were five people working in the kitchen when we arrived, only one gal was left by the time we were eating. Someone even came in from next door asking for a manager, but none was present. Get it together, guys! You have a good thing going with the pizza, but the service was a mess and the wings were not good.

This place is a sleeper. The reason why I say that is because if I pass a place that reads pizza…read morefor take-out, I imagine budget quality. And the food from here was expensive in taste, and not costly either. What I want to eventually say, is that this place has unique pizza flavors, excellent service, moderate prices, and eye-catching ecore that makes the wait for the take-out order seem less, cause one can distract themselves with the cartoons on the wall. Preapre the brick pizza oven a review will be baked that honors this place with robust prose. I was celebrating a friend's birhtday. And the day got gone, without me really placing attention to the food I was going to honor him with. I had been invited to this place in the past (a Yelp experience) and I found the food good enough to remember. So I trusted that this place would somehow deliver cheese and sauce goodness to honor someone I consider a brother, from another mother. And to be honest, this place was close enough to be a choice option. But now the relatively closeness to this place is a plus, the food is the reason why I am going to go back. I surveyed the menu and I decided to do the Sausage Hunter, without the mushrooms. I realized that Sausage Hunter could be a name of a movie about a cougar gone wild. And the pizza was fantastic. The main flavor pop was the sausage. It provided meaty flavor and the fennel elevated the taste to Mozza-like quality. Not that this place can compete with Mozza that is not the point. More like the pizza of this place was unique enough to be called gourmet like the type you find at Mozza. And the pizza here was more accessbile in taste, price point, and does not require one wear shoes. One can enter here in sandals. I do not think I can do that at Mozza. Maybe. I won't try though. This place does not do itself justice with its name. Perhaps it can be called Piccini Gourment pizza to-go. Regardless, the pizza was a standout: White sauce, dollops of pesto, parmessean, mozzarella, and care. Hopefully one can see that these ingredients are not run of the mill pepperoni and olives. Even writing them seemed decadent and like I had enter a Nonna's kitchen on the eve where she was cooking for her only grandaughter's wedding. On this day, the sauce had to be white, in case she spilled it, it would match the dress. Imagine if she spilled red sauce on her white gown? Nonna's know what suace to make for each day. Since I rushed through my day I did not have time to buy plates, napkins, and forks for the mini party i was hosting. And yet I had a cake to provide to someone and also this pie. So I asked one of the workers, in a hushed whisper, do you mind providing me extra plates, and forks and napkins. And she was like how many? Anhe md I with a feeling of guilt I said 15. My inner person cringed. I got ready for the no, perhpas delivered in an italian accent. And the person who helped me said, I got you, with happy conviction. She did not make me feel like an ogre who pillaged a village of its straw and pitchforks to give utensils and comfortable seating for his ogre friends when he forgot to purchase these items on the way to the pit where the party was being held. Her behavior was attentive past the line of service. It was no wonder her name was Precious. I took a clip of the mural. It looked like a serious artist painted with crayons. It showed gelato and people about to kiss while racing to the center of a spaghetti strand. It had many things to see and wonder about while you waited like I said at the start of the review. So there was thought here, I think. What can stimulate people while they wait for their pizza besides their phone? Colorful images. It works with kids and cartoons. Why not with customers waiting for their pizza? This place will be on the rotation when i want pizza.
