There are many things I love about Columbia Restaurant, however, not the service. I have been there many, many times and the service level has never improved. However, clearly I keep going back, so that's not a huge deal for me. But, know that when you go there, you will be waiting and your server will disappear - we'll just say it's part of the charm. On to the food and drink. Wow. The 1905 Salad is the best option they have. Summer or winter; inside or outside; dine-in or to-go, DO NOT SKIP THIS SALAD. I personally enjoy mine with turkey, only because the ham has more intense flavor. Another high note for me is the the Palomillo with yellow rice. This is a big portion, so definitely come hungry (or take it home!). They also add a few plantains, yum. Lastly, get the sangria. Probably a pitcher, because it is a great value (or it's so tasty you will want more). I prefer the red, but on a warm summer day the white is quite refreshing. read more

This is one of my to do things when I visit Orlando. The aromas emanating from the kitchen reminds me of my own grandmother's kitchen. We lucked out and beat the dinner crowd. We had the White asparagus (5 stars), 16 oz rib eye (5 stars), Roast Pork Cubana (4 stars). Soft, hot cuban bread is also served with dinner. We were beside ourselves. Ahhhhhhh the Chicken Valenciana is delicious ! At first I was skeptical because coming from Miami i thought we wouldn't find a good Spanish place and wallah! Columbia Appears and boyyyy! Was it good. I've been wanting to try Columbia restaurant for years. Finally had the opportunity to go last night and it was SO good. My grandmother used to make empanadas when my dad was growing up but no one has the recipe, so my dad has been trying to hard to find a place that makes it the way he remembers. We decided to try the empanadas and my dad said it was the closest he's ever had to hers. I'm not usually a fan but I found them really delish! We decided to share a the pollo manchengo and vegetarian paella. Both were great. The chicken dish was outstanding- loved the flavors! We also tried the flan. Probably the best I've ever had. It wasn't very eggy like some places, it was nice and creamy. I did try their red sangria which was good, but I probably could have done without- had way too much ice for the price. read more

Columbia restaurant was a pleasant place to head to. Went around valentines Day to have an excellent evening and was able to get seated quickly. The food was hard to decide on what to get, but the area was beautiful and the fountain was a relaxed view. Honestly, I believe you are half-paying for the view and half-paying for the scenery if you are near the middle. read more

This restaurant knocked it our of the park tonight. We were a group of ladies celebrating a birthday but concerned about social distancing. They accepted a reservation for an outside table. The staff wore masks and tables were distanced. They thought of all the small things like limiting numbers in restrooms, hand sanitizers by the door, and giving you pens for signatures that you can keep. Despite the masks the service was very pleasant. The food is amazing with huge portions. I had a chicken dish and their famous salad. Everyone gets a big piece of warm bread with dinner. The Cuban bread was great. The fish was a little dry. Service was outstanding the police was well decorated and clean.

This was our first foray into Colombian/Spanish food and it did NOT disappoint! We were immediately greeted by friendly staff and a relaxing restaurant vibe. Our waiter JC was excellent and got us started with the empanadas, papas rellenas and black bean cakes--we really enjoyed all three tapas dishes (and it's a heated debated over which was our favorite)! We also had the famous 1905 Salad and warm bread before our main dish, and both were great as well. For our main, we shared the paella and it was perfect for two people to share! Packed with seafood and meat, this dish is so delicious and worth the little extra wait it takes to cook. For dessert, the White Chocolate Bread Pudding was excellent, as was the flan. We thought after dinner we couldn't eat another bite, but those desserts proved us wrong. We cannot wait to come back to Columbia and try even more of their delicious food!! read more

I had the most pleasant lunch today at the Celebration Columbia. I have been to various Columbia locations over the past several decades. I have never had other than perfectly prepared cuisine. Service has always been professional. However today, the service went well beyond my expectations. Our server was Idreana. She was so pleasant and accommodating that I was compelled to tell her that she was the best server I have experienced at any restaurant at any time. She is that good. They are so fortunate to have her as an employee. I cannot wait to return. read more

Ambiance was nice. Loved the neighborhood. The manager accommodated a group of 21 with only a day's notice, which was appreciated. Wait staff was attentive. Beyond that, the food was not impressive. My husband's steak was raw in the middle when he requested medium. The cannelloni was just ok. Sauce was too heavy and underwhelming. The salad was flavorful but I wouldn't consider it 'world renowned'. Each dish left me feeling like I could do this better at home. I literally thought it was time to call Robert Irvine for a complete menu overhaul. I hope they do something, because the Orlando restaurant business has to be tough and I'd hate to see this family heirloom fail. read more

Just walking in makes you feel like you're at a Hispanic family member's house and they threw down in the kitchen because, oh man the smells! The Spanish tile, the arched windows, and the wooden paneled walls... love it! They have Spanish music playing that you can't hear when the restaurant fills. The kids menu is great... we order a Cuban sandwich with fries. Their hot sauce is awesome! The salteado and the croquetas. We could just order the whole menu. me and my family came to visit the columbia restaurant for spring break with my grandparents and we had a wonderful time. the ambience is fantastic here, so much cool latin history embedded within this restaurant it was really interesting to learn about. all entree's include a warm piece of fresh baked bread which was very soft and definitely freshly baked. my dad ordered a cup of the bean soup which included rice, beans, topped with freshly diced onions. we all pretty much had a taste and it was a good "soup" which i would have called more of a latin chili. my mom and grandma ended up getting the iconic 905 salad as a appetizer and they were all big fans of this special dish. as for entree's we all had nothing to complain about and we're very pleased with the taste of everything. i had the mahi which was awesome...cooked perfectly. my plate had a lot of starch and i wish they would have subbed come veggies for either the yuca or plantain however they were sure tasty. dinner was finished off for me with a very nice coffee, but as for my grandpa he finished off with their key lime pie which was gone pretty quick so i assume it was really tasty as well, lol! read more

Great service and excellent food! We had a late lunch, enjoyed a pitcher of the Blanca sangria mixed table side. Our server was busy but he was still very attentive and pleasant. Was worried it was going to be too "fancy" as we were dressed quite casually, but it was fine. I think you could come here in shorts and a tshirt OR dressed up and still feel comfortable. Just no cutoffs / sleeves-less shirts for men (mentioned on their website). read more

Great option in downtown Celebration. I actually didn't choose to eat here. I live in Tampa where the Columbia originated. I always enjoy the food but it was a little odd traveling to Celebration and going here. A family friend chose it - I think this is her go-to lunch spot. Hey, I enjoy the Columbia so I definitely went willingly. I'm glad I did because I've always gone for dinner and not for lunch. Also, since I was with others who share my taste I could try a couple different plates. Champinones Rellenos, Croquetas de Langosta, Calamares Fritos "Romaa" and Cakes de Cangrejo. We also got the 1905 salad, but since I don't eat pork I didn't partake. My favorite hands down, by far was the calamari. Now this is calamari that reminds me how other calamari is lacking. I did not need the sauce at all, it was seasoned so perfectly without it. I hogged the plate on my side of the table and wish I didn't have to share. Everything else was good too, but nothing stood out to me like the calamari. I would try all new tapas next time I go in addition to the calamari. The bread they bring before the meal is delicious. I love slathering whipped butter on crusty Cuban bread. Forget the no carb diet, this bread is worth it. When we got there at noon the place was moderately full. By 12:30 it was absolutely packed. By 1:15ish it had died back to moderately full. Even though it looks like a huge restaurant you might as well make a reservation just in case you come at a busy time! read more

Hi My friends and I came in Monday at 12:30 for lunch and we're extremely disappointed with how we were treated. First let me say our server, was as nice as can be. And was definitely hustling. However, the restaurant took 1 HOUR to bring out 2 Cuban sandwiches with a side of black been soup and 2 1905 salads. One hour! When I asked the manager what was going on with the food he said "i don't know what's going on with the food. What's going on with it?" I've always loved the Columbia in Tampa and decided to try this location. Service was decent. What I tasted of my food was great.... and by that I mean, I'd eaten about 1/4 of my dish and my twin boys had to leave for work so I walked them to the door and went to the toilet. There were still six others sitting at my table. I arrived back and my dish and Dylan's were gone. Other people had finished their food but rather than asking the server or bus boy took our dinners and drinks. Nothing like spending several hundred dollars and going home hungry. I made several attempts to flag down our server and ask who took our dinner and drinks but he kept zipping by. Very disappointing to have to leave from an expensive meal and have to go home and make a sandwich. read more

Super good Columbian food! I've come here multiple times over the years, and it has been very consistent and very good! They are located in the heart of downtown Celebration and easy to find. Try to find parallel parking on the main strip of you can. If not, there are public lots behind back and not a far walk. They are very busy on a regular basis, so I strongly suggest reservations. Pricing ranges from fifteen a head and up, depending on what you order. The menu is extensive so take your time and read about the offerings. Snack on the table bread while you figure things out! I've not had anything I didn't like! If it's your first go I recommend trying the multiple options plate where you can pick several items to try out. This is a great way to find something to fall in love with to order for next time in full! Staff is always friendly and despite the busy nature of the place, attentive. They have a happy hour also during the weekdays if you wanna give their drinks a go! Overall: A It can get a little pricey, so it's not an all the time place, but a definite must try! read more
