We had reservations on Valentine's Day. The atmosphere was great. We were seated almost immediately and treated attentively. We had the pitcher of Sangria and 1905 Salad. I thought both were supposed to be prepared table side, but that didn't happen for us unfortunately. The sangria tasted almost watered down. The salad was amazinggg, I would go back just for salad! My pollo manchego was very solid, the sauce was citrusy and refreshing. The steak however was A LOT of fat, more than average, and very salty. For $52 it was nowhere near up to par. Overall, it was a nice dinner and I'm glad we did it for a special day like Valentine's, but I think the food is overpriced and there are better dining options in the downtown Celebration area. If we returned it would probably be for drinks, salad, and tapas, not entrees. read more

Wow! This place knocked it out of the park last night. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was spot on--cozy lighting and great music. Our server Maria was attentive without being overbearing. Even the manager checked on how we're doing and how the food was. The food was a flavor explosion. My son ordered 3 different kinds of tapas and even that was enough for two people - Champinones Rellenos, Pincho Mixta and Croquetas de Pollo. I ordered the Stuffed Shrimp 'Jesse Gonzalez'. Exquisite is the perfect word for our meal. My son ordered the mojito and it came with a sugar cane - a very nice touch. Five stars aren't enough. I'm going to say, I've been to various locations of this restaurant gain and I have never been disappointed, until this visit. Ramero was not a good waiter on any level. He didn't listen/comprehend, was not attentive and over charged us. We had reservations and the restaurant was 70% empty yet he still didn't even check on us to refill waters. When we visit Orlando we try stop by our favorite restaurants and this is one of them. We were seated immediately and our server Allele was fabulous! She was very attractive, friendly and made excellent recommendations. We started with the empanadas. They are so delicious, definitely some of the best I've had. We ordered the chicken sandwich that was also wonderful. The chicken was juicy. I'm always worried about chicken being overcooked and dry but this was cooked perfectly. As locals, we're always looking for something new to try in the area. Celebration is full of delicious restaurants and Columbia Restaurant came highly recommended. It was quite busy, so we recommend making a reservation as we did. We had a slot for 6:00pm, arrived 10 minutes early, and were seated right away. The menu is full of tasty options. We both enjoyed our dishes, especially the tenderness and flavor of the fish and chicken. It's a huge plus that you're served bread with each entree. The interior of the restaurant is decorated to perfection and is very authentic. We enjoyed looking in the gift shop at the dishes, spices, and oils afterwords. Our service was phenomenal all around. As mentioned earlier, we arrived 10 minutes before our 6pm reservation. We received our food, ate, and were out by 6:40. Super fast! We live in celebration and love to go to Columbia Restaurant. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The food is always delicious. The decor is beautiful. Here comes the but The last 3 times we walked in and felt invisible. We had reservations but when I went to check in there was no acknowledgment that I was standing there. Vintage and classic, reportedly the oldest restaurant in the state of Florida. I love most about this restaurant is its knack for tradition and inclusivity. There are tons of families seated throughout the restaurant, especially in the outdoors area, making this a very welcoming place. I ordered the "Salteado" a grilled skillet dish with extra-virgin olive oil, sautéed vegetables and perfectly cooked tenderloin tips. It came with a side of yellow rice. But even when the tables are served with hot bread, it is addicting to eat to say the least. The inside decor feels like an old European chapel and the menu has illustrative descriptions of all the history pertaining to the dishes themselves. They managed to seat our large conference group of 15 people with short notice, too. Very pleased with my experience and highly recommend it! read more

Lovely outdoor dining. I think our server's name was Fazar, and he was great! He was friendly, professional and attentive. The cocktail were pretty good and food was as pretty good. Had a very disappointing experience at Columbia Restaurant. We had a 10:45 reservation through OpenTable, but the restaurant did not open until 10:55. We were then told all OpenTable reservations were for outdoor seating only, which was never made clear when booking. I am recovering from surgery and politely asked if we could sit inside since the restaurant was empty. The hostess, Anna, didn't greet us, smile, or show any empathy -- just a flat "no." Outside seating was uncomfortable due to the heat, flies, and birds. Ironically, a table next to us asked to move inside a few minutes later and was accommodated immediately, while we were refused even after explaining my situation. Our waiter was attentive and kind, but the food itself was subpar. Good customer service costs nothing. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling unwelcome, and we will not return. read more

First time in Celebration, first time at this Columbia location; my first time at ANY Columbia location, but I do know of the other two in Ybor City and St. Augustine respectively. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience thanks in part to our server, Clarice (yes, like the Silence of the Lambs film Clarice), who took great care of us between ensuring we had what we needed for drinks and our dinner orders. Their 1905 martinis I had extra dirty with gin, which I enjoyed voraciously. It didn't hurt that Clarice brought the mixing tin out, shook the ingredients, and poured into the chilled martini glass. To say I did my happy running man dance is an understatement. Their stuffed mushrooms and their shrimp appetizer was very good, while their Cannelloni de Langosta was absolutely magical, served with Maine lobster meat, shrimp, pan-seared scallops and sautéed shallots in a lobster sherry cream reduction. Having it smothered with a lobster sherry Mornay cheese sauce and pieces of lobster was the metaphoric icing on the cake on an evening that was magical, very magical. read more

I went with my friends for lunch today during the exotic car show. I was quite surprised that they had some sandwiches and salad for lunch at a reasonable price. I did the half Cuban sandwich with gazpacho soup (15 dollars). The Cuban sandwich was quite nice with ham, pork shavings, and another deli meat. The mustard help add the flavors, but I noticed that there were no pickles in my sandwich. It was pressed nicely and the Cuban bread had the right amount of crisp vs softness. The gazpacho soup was chilled nicely and I enjoyed the toppings they added like onion, tomato, and croutons at our table. This would have been a very reasonably priced lunch, however I had to splurge for their white chocolate Cuban bread pudding (14 dollars). It was served just above warm temperature, making it moist. The white chocolate flavor wasn't overbearing, and the rum sauce was just right. They had enough to share for 3 people. Our service was nice and professional. It was busy as the exotic car show made it crowded. However, our reservation was honored and we didn't have to wait much. However, we had to park about 15 minutes away due to the crowd, but we did get to see the nice cars on display and enjoy the show. Columbia still serves great Latin food in an upscale atmosphere, but still being family friendly. My favorite is still in Ybor City, which was the original location I believe, and even had live entertainment. But this chain still serves great food in nice atmosphere, and the half soup and half Cuban sandwich for 15 dollars is a great deal. read more

We were staying in town and decided to have dinner at this restaurant and it was a great decision. It is located on the lake in downtown Celebration. The interior of the restauarant is nicely decorated with plenty of Spanish tiles. The menu has plenty of appetizers, salads, and entrees. We started with a crab, shrimp and artichoke dip which was very tasty. I then had the Lechon Asado. It included pork shoulder marinated in a delicious garlic-citrus sauce, along with black beans, white rice, yuca and plantains. It was a very big size portion and tasted great. My husband ordered the Palomilla entree. This was a marinated top sirloin cut very thin and quickly grilled, topped with MOJO crudo. His entree also included fried plantains and white rice. This is our home location. We have been to all of their locations, but this is our favorite. Be sure to try the pitchers of red or white Sangria or a pitcher of Mojitos. They make them tableside and they are delicious. The 1905 salad is also done tableside. It can be ordered as a meal or in a smaller size to accompany your meal. The warm Cuban bread is delicious. You really can't go wrong with any of their entrees. They also have a covered patio for outside dining and when you are done, be sure to take a stroll around. The walk along the waterway is lovely and there are lots of shops to browse in. read more

At least 30 min later they finally got their meals. Took forever to get our box and checks. Not impressed. For the $ they're charging, you should get too notch service. Three of us had an awesome experience here. The ambiance matches the Spanish-Cuban cuisine. The food was delicious. One of us got the ropa vieja. The other two got La Cubana completa, a sampler of pork, beef, empanada, yuca, fried plantain and rice and beans. I also started with the gazpacho. Delicious. The half loaf of bread and butter they give each person as a compliment is enough to fill you up if you aren't careful. For dessert, we split the bread pudding and the flan. Both were off the charts good. The $30 pitcher of sangria was very reasonably priced. It probably had 4-5 glasses worth inside. Finally, the service was top notch. We had an amazing service and such good food. When our server was busy the bar service stepped up and helped with getting drinks. You can't go wrong with a Guinness at the local pub. The manager even helped on this busy night. Recommend the lobster roll so fresh and just the right spices to enjoy the tender meat. My BEST dining experience since arriving in Orlando! My husband and I first visited this restaurant over a decade ago, and it still ROCKS! The service provided by Romero today for lunch was superb. He was so attentive, and he made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere is loud and lively. We started with a mojito, a Paloma, and a smoothie, all made to perfection. Then we had tapas. Crab cakes, croquettes de Pollo, meatballs, empanadas, and shrimp. The shrimp had a blast of flavor! I will dream of these empandas, filled with ground beef, olives, raisins, onions, and more. Meatballs were out of this world, unlike any meatballs I have had before. We were honestly full but wouldn't get another chance to enjoy the classic 1905 salad. It is a must try. We were going to have a Cubano sandwich but made a last-minute change to a sandwich on special, which was delicious. The bread is awesome.
