I come to PR several times a year and usually stay in the same hotel in which this restaurant is located. I got back to my hotel last night and went downstairs and informed the staff that I'd be sitting by the pool and to please check on me for drinks. The waitress came out a good 15 minutes later and took another 25 minutes to bring my drink. and the waitress came by brought me a cocktail and then disappeared. I must've sat there for another 30-45 minutes before I gave up on her making her way back to me and went inside to pay my bill. Today, stopped by there again and give them a second chance. I walked in the door told a waiter I'd be sitting by the pool and to please bring me a water and a specific beer. A few minutes later he brought me the water and asked me what I wanted to drink even though I had already told him what I wanted. He didn't offer a menu or even ask if I wanted something to eat. He brought me the beer and disappeared almost an hour later I went inside to pay my check because he never came out. I explained to the manager what had happened to me two days in a row and that I would never return. The service was horrible by two different servers. There were 4 other people out there today and he did not serve them either. I may have to change hotels just to have a reliable restaurant to go to. I gave them 1 star because it doesn't let me give them 0 stars. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I cannot stress enough DO NOT COME HERE. We had a girl with an egg allergy and we told the servers (TWO and the manager) that she had the allergy. They still brought the food out with an egg, so of course she sent it back. They brought her food back out with just having the egg taken off and covered in sauce so of course, she had an allergic reaction and had to leave. The manager then gaslighted our party and said we never told them, she never apologized, and she even said "if it was that bad we would have had to go to the hospital." More than that, it was our fault for "not knowing they just took the egg off with how fast the food came out." She then kept our $300 check in tact, took nothing off, and continues to gaslight us DESPITE HER GOING TO GET US MEDICATION because she her throat was closing. DO NOT COME HERE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AND DONT CARE ABOUT POSSIBLE DEATHS TO ALLERGIC REACTIONS. do not come here. read more

Unique menu with reasonable prices. The servers were very attentive and quick. The avocado toast was delicious and had a nice flavor to it.

The food is quite good but the service is less than adequate. We've grown accustomed to island time but this is ridiculous. There were high hopes for this new offering in Miramar, but sadly, we will not be returning. read more

We were really excited to go because we got a reservation weeks ago. We arrived there and the people were friendly, however this quickly deemed not the case. The staple item on their menu was the $18 bottomless mimosa that came with every brunch menu item. We decided to order them; 4 each. With each mimosa we found the service becoming becoming slower and slower and less and less friendly. As it turns out you can only order nine mimosas before they cut you off. We were not being uncivil, loud nor belligerent. They said you could order as long as you had food on your plate, which all four of us did. One of us even had an esophageal motility disorder and was forced to eat/drink slowly. All in all, Comedor offered terrible service, false advertising, and a really unfortunate ruining to our Sunday morning. 1 star is too many. read more

Most people working here are bilingual which is an added plus for my english speaking self in a spanish speaking part of the world. Food was good, a little bit pricey but very good. I ate lunch and dinner here and both were great. simple foods and you can't really go wrong. read more

Located in the lobby of the Courtyard by Marriott this local restaurant could easily be a missed spot. "Comedor" means diner in Spanish and that's the look and feel you get when you walk in, with a twist of course. Instead you'll find a retro 40s-50s look in a stylish way. The art deco decor is very unique and reminds me so much of the Spanish series "Velvet." The restaurant has a very nice wine selection, my dad told me they have a nice small wine cellar. We had a super friendly server who made you want to order every single special in the house because he made it all sound delicious. We ended up starting with the deconstructed alcapurrias, which were pretty amazing. For my main dish I chose to go with the seared tuna that was served over a soy risotto and quinoa rice. It was so good and bigger portion than I imagined. Finally, I completed our gastronomic adventure with a mini chocolate souffle that was served with ice cream on the side and is one of the best souffles I've ever had. It's so hard to find places now that have souffles on the menu. Don't dismiss this restaurant because it is in the hotel lobby, give it a try and you won't be disappointed. read more

Oh my gosh! I don't know where to start. I heard Max the bartender before I even noticed him. He was shaking a cocktail for a guest. He explained all of the ingredients and how they impacted one another until half of the bar was imbibing in his creations. I ordered a grilled chicken and goat cheese meal which was incredibly delicious! Every bite was exciting as I discovered a new flavor! Oh my gosh! I ordered carrot cake with a shot of espresso for my evening and it was amazing! This restaurant was a favorite with locals and other travelers. When I come back to San Juan I am making a bee li I went back two times after my review. The manager interrupted my conversation with a different bartender. This was a great place to eat at for being our last resort. My family and I got to the hotel later in the evening and I was hungry, so we went downstairs of the Courtyard hotel and walked into this place. My husband and I looked at each other simultaneously thinking "now this is what I'm talking about!" The hostess greeted us right away when she saw us; she was very courteous and brought us a high chair, for my one year old, without hesitation. The waitress came soon after we were seated with bottled water (that we paid for.) We only had appetizers and the Fish Taco is the best thing I had thus far! The did not have available 3 of the house drinks, so we ordered two traditional drinks ( old fashioned)(cosmopolitan). They were barely drinkable, Non were enjoyable. Outstanding. Cream of Apio and Puertorican turnovers were amazing. Puertorican food in general is flavorful but pretty similar across restaurants but the unique twists givwn to the dishes are perfect. Drinks were spot on as well. read more

Visited for brunch. Art Deco style in Miramar district. However, service for the unlimited mimosas is slow, we had to hail the waiter several times for the refills, hence not worth it. Even when they were admittedly slow, they refused to offer a final refill when we asked for the check, even the waiter agreed the unlimited service wasn't worth it. Also, found a strand of hair in my dish. The place is nice and new, but at a time where competition is stiff, opportunities for improvement should be taken into account. read more

We came here because we were tired and it was in the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The decor is very pleasant. The food made the night. We shared the fried calamari. It was hot and crispy. The sauce was delicious. I had the macaroni and cheese. It was the best I have had in years. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The cheese sauce and seasoning was perfect. The top had bread crumbs an truffle oil. It is now one of my favorite dishes I have had. My partner had the beef tar tar. It looked beautiful and tasted equally as good. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I was a tourist visiting with a group friends and we came here to eat. The first red flag we should've have noticed was our waitress Christie had her hair hanging down her shoulders and not tied up. Later on in the evening we found a piece of hair in one of our drinks. When we pointed it out she quickly put her hair in a bun. We ordered our food the "Mac and cheese" it was absolutely disgusting. It had no flavor the cheese sauce had the consistency of milk and the chicken had no seasoning. When we asked the waiter if we could simply trade our pasta for another it was an issue and we were told we had to pay additional money to change our order. When we asked to speak with the owner Hugo Perez he was very disrespectful, distasteful, and arrogant. He didn't want to accommodate us at all and he proceeded to say the meal was "perfect" so he wasn't responsible for us not being satisfied. When we said that it didn't taste perfect and it wasn't good to our liking he said "Don't eat". After we found a hair in our food and told Hugo that we weren't interested in eating here he called the police on us for absolutely no reason. He says he doesn't like tourist coming to his restaurant so save your time and money and eat at another establishment who will appreciate your business. This is the worst experience I have ever had and I suggest no one eat here or give Hugo Perez any of their hard earned money. read more

This place was very convenient for our family since it is located at the lobby of Marriott Courtyard Miramar. Decided to come here for dinner so we don't have to drive anywhere. The food was amazing! I had the salmon taretare and was delicious but the portion is quite small. My son ordered poke and surprisingly it was a bigger portion for the same price as the salmon. My husband got a pasta dish which was very tasty! The whole ambiance was wonderful however we felt like we were not treated right when we first walked in. The hostess greeted us and told us it will be a minute so they can clean up a table for 4. We were standing by the door in front of people who are eating their food since the doorway is literally next to the tables. The hostess came back and forth but did not acknowledge us on the status of our table we probably waited for about 5 minutes standing in front of other diners. Finally a server came over and asked us again how many and left again. The guy in blue shirt (owner apparently )saw us and directed another server to seat us. There were 4 more people that just walked in on the other side of the door and got seated right away even though their table was not prepared yet. They were going to sit at our table but the owner told them it was for us. When the server was taking our order she asked if we have vouchers. My husband was confused and asked her what it was for. She explained that cruise ship gives out a voucher towards the dinner. They thought we were part of the cruise ship crew since the table next to us (cruise ship crew) were the same ethnicity as us. That's when we realized how we got discriminated by the hostess. I aske to talk to the Manager/owner after dinner but he left for the night. The hostess came over and asked how she can help. I told her how we felt when she ignored us for 5 minutes while we were waiting by the door. She made the excuse that we did not have any reservation and they did not have a table ready. We found out that reservation is not necessary and the 4 people who walked in after us did not have any reservation. But we were all seated at the same time. This incident unfortunately made our dining experience at subpar. But again the food was amazing and the passion fruit mojito was the bomb!!! read more
