We had a party of 5 and we got there right before they opened. There were about 10 people out front waiting and once we got seated more tables began to fill up quickly. The entire place is decked out in Disney and comic book characters. I can totally see this as a restaurant inside of Disneyland or universal studios or something. We ordered some corn ribs, burgers, salmon and the chimichanga. Everything passed the flavor test and the portions were super human lol. Our server was on top of her A-game, refilling drinks and checking on us often enough. There were about 4 birthday celebrations in the hour and a half that we were there and we made sure to clap along lol. This is a cool place to bring kids or a group of adults, just respect the family atmosphere because they have some pretty good adult beverages too.

We came here for my son's birthday, the kids had fun and loved the birthday singing with birthday signs and sparklers! That was very exciting! Service was good, the drinks were huge! No complaints there. The food could be better but the kids ate all of theirs!

They close for good Feb 23. Sad. Good memories here. Food has always been hit or miss. The place is like a cosplay paradise. So much potential.

I got the rocket nachos and my buddy got the Elote corn with chips. Food was decent not too bad tasted pretty good prices are ehh a little high for appetizers, but pretty much the standard of prices of food nowadays. The service was good. Our waitress was always around making sure we had enough water, napkins, and all that. I'll be honest was not too bad not really background music, but I really like the theme of the place being all TV and movie related sculptures in photos and what not. Other than that it's all in all of a good experience.

Everything pretty average here. The only beef is that they don't include Friday as part of Happy Hour. All food I tried or saw was good. My supreme cheesesteak came with the wrong kind of fries and the sandwich had too many sweet peppers. The guac was excellent, but was marred by mostly stale chips and those chips were not sturdy enough to hold the guac anyways. Female Bartender was kind of annoying as well and way too many kids wandering around the place with no parents in site.

A pretty well set up comic book themed restaurant in a mall. Ate at 1/6/2024 Ambiance/Cleanliness-Walked in about 1:30 and sat at the bar....there was quite a wait for the restaurant proper. Kind of generic from the outside, but the interior is quite a bit like a comicbook geeks happy place. I liked it a lot, very clean, bustling, great vibe. 4 stars Service-Wish I could remember our server's name, sweet, animated lady that helped us and really made us feel welcome. She was funny, attentive and informative. 5 stars Food-I had a cheesesteak, sweet potato fries and a coke. All was good, but the food was average and a bit expensive. 3 stars Would go back if in the mood.

This place is cool for collectors to check out the atmosphere and see if you want to buy any of the memorabilia they're selling. When I checked out the menu, wasn't super excited to try anything as it looked pretty basic and over priced. All I ordered were some fries which weren't very good and a soda to share. You couldn't really tell which staff worked here. It was kinda of disappointing because this place could be cooler but it seems like a cheap knockoff of a cooler place. I came I tried it and took some photos but I can't say I would return.

This place has so much potential but it just wasn't that great. The place was dead and super quiet when we showed up. I wish it was some type of music playing. Maybe like so marvel tunes. The service was very slow and I mean VERYYYY!!! We walked in and it took about 5 mins for somebody to come up and greet us. We also walked upstairs to look around and it was so hot up there we ran back down. Food was ok. Nothing special about it at all.

What do two comic collectors & empty-nesters do on their first Saturday without the kids? These two went to ComicX Restaurant Bar & Store @comicxusa and had a Super Dinner! This spot is great for kids and birthday parties! The booth next to us was celebrating and the restaurant brought out a cake with a lit sparkler in the center and a comic-style birthday sign while singing. There is an upstairs seating area (stair & elevator access) with restrooms, and Chewbacca and Darth Vader life-sized statues. There are tables and booths downstairs, more restrooms, and a separate bar room for those older kids who may want a fun date. Several super hero statues and theme areas are placed throughout the downstairs rooms. I had so much fun walking through each room! Everywhere I looked, there was something comic, sci-fi, or fantasy related. There are several TVs also playing Justice League and other superhero cartoons. A couple mini video games sit on the bar and there's an arcade and prize area at the back of the restaurant. Our server was very polite and recommended the most fun menu items. We ordered: - Unsweetened Tea - Baby Yoda Rita: Silver Tequila, Margarita Mix, Triple Sec, Green Color, Agave Nectar, Lime Juice - SO ADORABLE with blueberry eyes and lime wedge ears. It tastes like lime jello. - Rocket's Super Dirty Nachos: Crispy Tortillas, Fresno Queso Sauce, Chicken Confit, Cheese Blend, Fried Beans, Pico de Gallo, Avocado Crema, Sweet Pickled Onion, Queso Fresco, Sour Cream, Jalapeño - Pretty good nachos AND they come in an actual wagon! - Fish n' Chips: Beer Battered Seasonal Fish, Homemade Tartar Sauce, Malt Lemon Aioli, Frilled Lemon, Side of French Fries - Comes is a metal boat-shaped basket with a ranch dip anchor - Hen Solo: Hot Flaky Chicken Breast Tossed in Wing Sauce, Pickles, Buttermilk Ranch, Brioche Bun, Side of Fries - I loved my Hen Solo! No gimmicks here, simply a spicy, juicy chicken sandwich with pickles and ranch A photographer was also snapping photos at each table and offered us three framed options to purchase at the table for $20. We got one. What can I say? She captured a great moment in a glass frame.

My family and I decided to make the drive to phoenix to check this place out. It was a fun experience! The ambience is really cool and my food was delicious!! Our server was sweet and was attentive when we needed drinks or napkins. Overall good spot to visit when we are in town.

First, let's start by saying this place has some new rules. They are no longer accepting walk-ins after 5 pm due to prioritizing existing reservations. I didn't know this prior to arrival, but I was lucky because there was room at the bar. This place is amazing! I took some pictures of the place so you can see the level of detail. It was a great place to hang out for the weekend. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the food and dessert as well. There was three different plates ordered: I got the jugger with the sweet potato fries, and it was simply amazing. Good sized burger that was cooked to perfection and some well executed fries. We also got the infinity challenge and the Supreme cheesesteak sandwich. Everything was delicious, and we left a little room for dessert the incredible churro bowl.

Wow wow wow!!! Honestly, worth every single penny. My brother and I had an Infinity Challenge Burger (one each) -- and it was delicious! I couldn't finish mine. Each burger came with fries. I had the garlic parm fries and *chef kiss*! The drinks were also amazing! The service was great too! Everyone we came across was bilingual and spoke Spanish. Which made the experience better for my mom. The Ambiance makes you feel like you're at Universal Studios grabbing a bite. From food, drinks, Ambiance, and clean bathrooms. I completely recommend.

Ask the Community - ComicX Restaurant Bar & Store

Is the Star Wars lounge only open certain days/times? And do we need to reserve/request to be seated there?

It is typically open Friday through Sunday, if we are busy enough to warrant it being opened (we pretty much always are). Reservations for any seating is always preferred for sure. As for the request, that's exactly what it is. We can't guarantee…

Can we go and walk around and just look at everything or do we have to stay and eat?

The manager said the restaurant is also a store. The superhero statues are for sale. Also, the place has a bar as well as tables in multiple sections, so they probably would not even notice if you just walked around.

Do they serve butter beer too? Harry Potter drink?

When I visited in April they were serving it. Alcoholic and nonalcoholic

Are you able to make reservations at the Star Wars bar or is this area only first come first serve?

    Is it reservations only?

No, we walked in. There wasn't a wait time either, but this was about 3/4pm.

    Are reservations recommended?

I'd recommend calling to make a reservation so you don't get there and have to be told they have an hour and a half wait

Are we allowed to take photos near the figures? It's my sons birthday and wanted to take him?

Absolutely. There a lot of great pictures. Make sure to check out the upstairs and Hogwarts platform

This beer-focused bar isn't the easiest to find because it's underground down a stairwell. Look for the signage close to the stairwell. Ambiance (3.5/5): We sat at a booth at the bar. It's one of the few seats that have back support (which is important to me due to my old man back). Outside of that, it's all barstool seating with no back support inside. Outside, they have a small patio with chairs. That would be another option for me when the weather cooperates. The decor inside is your typical beer bar decor. Laid back. Comfortable. There's a jukebox. A cool place to grab some brews. Service (3.5/5): Two bartenders were working that evening and they were pretty solid. I did have to grab their attention a few times but no biggie. The Whining Pig has daily specials including a beer and grilled cheese combo on Wednesdays. I was curious on the price. They didn't know nor did they find out. That was a miss. Food (N/A): No food for me on this visit as I had dinner prior. They have a small menu, mostly made up of various grilled cheese sandwiches. They have a classic one, a pizza one, and a few others. I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. The types of beers you're not going to find at your neighborhood bar, including saisons and sours. The flight is served in a pig shape holder which was pretty funny. Flights are always my go-to when they're offered as they allow you to try out a nice variety. Added bonus: Walk down the hallway past the bathrooms and you'll run into Pigtails---a speakeasy owned by the same folks. That way, you can get both your brews and elevated cocktails fix in the same night.

To me a $30 cheese plate would not come with a container of honey mustard so I was not impressed. When I asked what cheeses were on it they told me there was 2 different cheddars. Despite being in Phoenix, you feel like you've been transported to the mountains. There's some seating at the bar as well as some comfortable seating close to a fireplace. The barstools at the bar don't have back support (which is always a con in my book). The music tends to be solid. All in all, a cool spot. And a casual one at that. The boys loved them, especially the Thousand Island sauce on the side, which they said tasted just like In-N-Out's sauce. My husband and I each enjoyed a glass of wine from the Happy Hour menu along with the Poke Nachos and Truffled Mushroom Pizza. The Poke Nachos are one of our favorites and did not disappoint. The serranos and sriracha aioli give them a nice kick without being overpowering. The Truffled Mushroom Pizza had great flavor, although this time it could have used a little more mushrooms and cheese. The boys enjoyed their chocolate milk and stayed entertained with the tabletop device while we waited for our food. Service was quick, the food came out fast, and we made it to our movie with plenty of time to spare.

The food and service were just okay, nothing standout either way. What they do consistently well is the beer selection, always impressive and a big reason to go. Even if the meal didn't wow me, I still had a good time. Solid 3-star experience

The waitress was so attentive and all food and drink was half off. I had the Bellini which was a heavy pour so you definitely get your money's worth. My friend got a martini and it was the size of two between the glass and the shaker. I love the ambiance here and you can choose to sit indoors or outdoors. Apparently it turns into a club at night with a band and indoor/outdoor bars. Well worth the value!

Blue Martini Lounge has quite the reputation. From several people, I've heard that it's a sugar…read moredaddy spot. I am by no means looking for a sugar daddy lol but I do enjoy people watching. I've passed by Blue Martini many of times. It always seems to be the most hype spot on High Street, a nice entertainment district in Desert Ridge. I finally took the plunge and checked it out on a Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. Parking is easy (and free) on the street, in the surface lots, or the garage on High Street. Ambiance (3.5/5): Blue Martini is definitely a bit bougie and caters to that audience. There's a nice outdoor patio which is where we sat since the weather was beautiful. There's a bar outside and waiter service. I briefly looked inside and there's a bar inside too, lounge sitting, and a dance floor. Blue Martini often has live music or a DJ. Definitely a spot where you can break it down on the dance floor. There's bottle service too if that's your thing. Service (2/5): Talk about slow service! It took our waitress longer than it should have for us to greet us. After placing an order for drinks, we received them promptly. After that we didn't see her again for quite a while. I wanted to order a second cocktail and she was nowhere to be found. Eventually she came around and I placed my order. I decided to close out right then and there knowing that it would take a long time to track her down to close out if I didn't do it right then and there. They also charge two fees amounting to 5%. Not sure what that's all about. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I just had drinks since I was there pretty late. I view Blue Martini as more of a drinks spot, but I can't comment on the food. They have a daily happy hour with discounts on select food items. Drinks (3.5/5): If the name isn't a dead giveaway, Blue Martini specializes in martinis. Beyond martinis, they have a large cocktail list. Plus everything else you'd find with a full bar. The drinks are a bit pricey (it is a see and be seen type of spot after all and you're likely to see old geezers pulling up in Lambos and Ferraris), but I liked the selection. I started off with the Blue Martini, their namesake. It's served with a blue glow stick. From there, I had the strawberry basil martini. Both were pretty good. Not speakeasy quality cocktails but better than your average bar for sure. While Blue Martini isn't really my scene, I can have a good time anywhere. If you're looking to turn up and dance, it's a good spot for that. And it's also elite for people watching.
