ComicX certainly is a good place to experience at least once as it's one of it's own kind. Service was good, I can tell they were probably short staffed but they did well nonetheless. The avocado fries were only good bc of the sauce, and the presentation wasn't too appealing. Maybe if the plating was different, and the fries were cut thinly it could've added an extra wow factor. The mozzarella sticks were okay. The marinara sauce had sprinkles of cheese in it which seems to be their signature thing- the avocado fries were also that way. The Croc burger came with hair in it, but I was given another for free. After seeing that though, it was hard to want to eat it. Thumbs up for the sweet potato fries though! The fettuccine was good, and the bread was tasty. Slightly burnt, but not bad. The chicken was slightly over seasoned. Overall, it was more of a one time experience. The seating left little room between the entrance and my table so it was also slightly difficult to feel comfortable as there was constantly an in and out of people as well as people trying to grab pictures with the Hulk and people leaning against my booth to take pictures.

This is a restaurant for children, that's it. Not adults who happen to enjoy comics and Marvel movies. It was cold and smelled like cleaning products. The decor was ok, but nothing amazing. The service was lovely, but the food was not. We asked the server if we should get chicken or beef on the nachos and he immediately said chicken bc the beef would make them soggy. Ringing endorsement! Guess what? They were soggy anyway, but I guess less soggy. I'm not sure why they felt the need to bring food on wheeled vessels. I couldn't help but wonder how many times they'd gone rolling off the table. I didn't even bother to take a picture of my "salad" which was a whole head of chopped iceberg topped with a frozen chicken patty (doused in buffalo sauce). The prices were criminal for this level of food! Don't bother going for the food, only go if you have young children who will be awed.

We had a party of 5 and we got there right before they opened. There were about 10 people out front waiting and once we got seated more tables began to fill up quickly. The entire place is decked out in Disney and comic book characters. I can totally see this as a restaurant inside of Disneyland or universal studios or something. We ordered some corn ribs, burgers, salmon and the chimichanga. Everything passed the flavor test and the portions were super human lol. Our server was on top of her A-game, refilling drinks and checking on us often enough. There were about 4 birthday celebrations in the hour and a half that we were there and we made sure to clap along lol. This is a cool place to bring kids or a group of adults, just respect the family atmosphere because they have some pretty good adult beverages too.

We came here for my son's birthday, the kids had fun and loved the birthday singing with birthday signs and sparklers! That was very exciting! Service was good, the drinks were huge! No complaints there. The food could be better but the kids ate all of theirs!

I got the rocket nachos and my buddy got the Elote corn with chips. Food was decent not too bad tasted pretty good prices are ehh a little high for appetizers, but pretty much the standard of prices of food nowadays. The service was good. Our waitress was always around making sure we had enough water, napkins, and all that. I'll be honest was not too bad not really background music, but I really like the theme of the place being all TV and movie related sculptures in photos and what not. Other than that it's all in all of a good experience.

They close for good Feb 23. Sad. Good memories here. Food has always been hit or miss. The place is like a cosplay paradise. So much potential.

Everything pretty average here. The only beef is that they don't include Friday as part of Happy Hour. All food I tried or saw was good. My supreme cheesesteak came with the wrong kind of fries and the sandwich had too many sweet peppers. The guac was excellent, but was marred by mostly stale chips and those chips were not sturdy enough to hold the guac anyways. Female Bartender was kind of annoying as well and way too many kids wandering around the place with no parents in site.

A pretty well set up comic book themed restaurant in a mall. Ate at 1/6/2024 Ambiance/Cleanliness-Walked in about 1:30 and sat at the bar....there was quite a wait for the restaurant proper. Kind of generic from the outside, but the interior is quite a bit like a comicbook geeks happy place. I liked it a lot, very clean, bustling, great vibe. 4 stars Service-Wish I could remember our server's name, sweet, animated lady that helped us and really made us feel welcome. She was funny, attentive and informative. 5 stars Food-I had a cheesesteak, sweet potato fries and a coke. All was good, but the food was average and a bit expensive. 3 stars Would go back if in the mood.

This place is cool for collectors to check out the atmosphere and see if you want to buy any of the memorabilia they're selling. When I checked out the menu, wasn't super excited to try anything as it looked pretty basic and over priced. All I ordered were some fries which weren't very good and a soda to share. You couldn't really tell which staff worked here. It was kinda of disappointing because this place could be cooler but it seems like a cheap knockoff of a cooler place. I came I tried it and took some photos but I can't say I would return.

What do two comic collectors & empty-nesters do on their first Saturday without the kids? These two went to ComicX Restaurant Bar & Store @comicxusa and had a Super Dinner! This spot is great for kids and birthday parties! The booth next to us was celebrating and the restaurant brought out a cake with a lit sparkler in the center and a comic-style birthday sign while singing. There is an upstairs seating area (stair & elevator access) with restrooms, and Chewbacca and Darth Vader life-sized statues. There are tables and booths downstairs, more restrooms, and a separate bar room for those older kids who may want a fun date. Several super hero statues and theme areas are placed throughout the downstairs rooms. I had so much fun walking through each room! Everywhere I looked, there was something comic, sci-fi, or fantasy related. There are several TVs also playing Justice League and other superhero cartoons. A couple mini video games sit on the bar and there's an arcade and prize area at the back of the restaurant. Our server was very polite and recommended the most fun menu items. We ordered: - Unsweetened Tea - Baby Yoda Rita: Silver Tequila, Margarita Mix, Triple Sec, Green Color, Agave Nectar, Lime Juice - SO ADORABLE with blueberry eyes and lime wedge ears. It tastes like lime jello. - Rocket's Super Dirty Nachos: Crispy Tortillas, Fresno Queso Sauce, Chicken Confit, Cheese Blend, Fried Beans, Pico de Gallo, Avocado Crema, Sweet Pickled Onion, Queso Fresco, Sour Cream, Jalapeño - Pretty good nachos AND they come in an actual wagon! - Fish n' Chips: Beer Battered Seasonal Fish, Homemade Tartar Sauce, Malt Lemon Aioli, Frilled Lemon, Side of French Fries - Comes is a metal boat-shaped basket with a ranch dip anchor - Hen Solo: Hot Flaky Chicken Breast Tossed in Wing Sauce, Pickles, Buttermilk Ranch, Brioche Bun, Side of Fries - I loved my Hen Solo! No gimmicks here, simply a spicy, juicy chicken sandwich with pickles and ranch A photographer was also snapping photos at each table and offered us three framed options to purchase at the table for $20. We got one. What can I say? She captured a great moment in a glass frame.

This place has so much potential but it just wasn't that great. The place was dead and super quiet when we showed up. I wish it was some type of music playing. Maybe like so marvel tunes. The service was very slow and I mean VERYYYY!!! We walked in and it took about 5 mins for somebody to come up and greet us. We also walked upstairs to look around and it was so hot up there we ran back down. Food was ok. Nothing special about it at all.

    My favorite decor of course

My family and I decided to make the drive to phoenix to check this place out. It was a fun experience! The ambience is really cool and my food was delicious!! Our server was sweet and was attentive when we needed drinks or napkins. Overall good spot to visit when we are in town.

Can we go and walk around and just look at everything or do we have to stay and eat?

The manager said the restaurant is also a store. The superhero statues are for sale. Also, the place has a bar as well as tables in multiple sections, so they probably would not even notice if you just walked around.

    Is it reservations only?

No, we walked in. There wasn't a wait time either, but this was about 3/4pm.

    Are reservations recommended?

I'd recommend calling to make a reservation so you don't get there and have to be told they have an hour and a half wait

Are we allowed to take photos near the figures? It's my sons birthday and wanted to take him?

Absolutely. There a lot of great pictures. Make sure to check out the upstairs and Hogwarts platform

This beer-focused bar isn't the easiest to find because it's underground down a stairwell. Look for the signage close to the stairwell. Ambiance (3.5/5): We sat at a booth at the bar. It's one of the few seats that have back support (which is important to me due to my old man back). Outside of that, it's all barstool seating with no back support inside. Outside, they have a small patio with chairs. That would be another option for me when the weather cooperates. The decor inside is your typical beer bar decor. Laid back. Comfortable. There's a jukebox. A cool place to grab some brews. Service (3.5/5): Two bartenders were working that evening and they were pretty solid. I did have to grab their attention a few times but no biggie. The Whining Pig has daily specials including a beer and grilled cheese combo on Wednesdays. I was curious on the price. They didn't know nor did they find out. That was a miss. Food (N/A): No food for me on this visit as I had dinner prior. They have a small menu, mostly made up of various grilled cheese sandwiches. They have a classic one, a pizza one, and a few others. I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. The types of beers you're not going to find at your neighborhood bar, including saisons and sours. The flight is served in a pig shape holder which was pretty funny. Flights are always my go-to when they're offered as they allow you to try out a nice variety. Added bonus: Walk down the hallway past the bathrooms and you'll run into Pigtails---a speakeasy owned by the same folks. That way, you can get both your brews and elevated cocktails fix in the same night.

Light, flaky, and more like an open-faced tostada than a quesadilla. It came topped with green chili and chicken, and everything worked well together. Based on that, I'd expect the rest of the menu to be consistent, even if it's not trying to reinvent the wheel. Service Service was efficient, especially considering how busy it was. No complaints here... you can tell the staff knows how to handle a full house and keep things moving. Ambience This is where the place stands out.
