Rick is the technician who came to our house to check and helped me solve my furnace issue. The furnace is installed at 2002. We purchased the house in 2013 and I think it is time to get new one. However, since it still doing its work, we want to get it to work until we get new one in. Rick is very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly to explain detail to me, and also check the space in ceiling for us to see the best option for the new furnace. During most of the year, our house in Fountain Valley can stay comfortable without A/C. However mid to late summer, our house can get a little warm and uncomfortable especially for sleeping. Due to the size and layout of our house, we decided that a mini-split, ductless system would be the best solution. After researching different ductless systems, we liked the reliability and quality that Mitusbishi had to offer. So now, after knowing that what we wanted, we needed to find a contractor to do the work. After a little more research (including reading reviews here on Yelp), Command Comfort stood out. They are a Mitsubishi Diamond contractor which, in addition to more training and expertise, means the Mitsubishi extends the normal factory warranty period. Their outstanding reviews gave me confidence to give them a call. Jamie was very helpful explaining various options and helping us figure out a good solution for our needs. We are starting with a four-zone system for three bedrooms and our dining room/kitchen area. In the future, we may add another system to cover more of the house. This past Monday, Jack and his team came out to do the work. On the first day, there were five of them (Jack, Gilbert, Paul, Jon, and Adolfo). They worked very well together as a team. On the next two days, it was just two of them. My wife overheard them through our window and noted that they spoke kindly and courteously with one another. I purchased a two-unit Mitsubishi mini-split air conditioner from Command Comfort in 2017. I found them on Angie's List, and chose them because they were the top Mitsubishi AC dealer in the Los Angeles area. The installation on my house was pretty involved due to the location of the units on my house, but after a long install and a few troubleshooting calls with Mitsubishi, the units worked great. The Mitsubishi AC units have been great and are virtually silent, both indoors and the condenser outside. Since purchasing the Mitsubishi, I've done the annual check up every year through Command Comfort. The techs just performed the 4 year inspection today--they did a great job, replaced a few dirty filters, and inspected and cleaned the two units. If I could give Tyler and Command Comfort 10 stars I would. We have been looking for an HVAC company to check out our A/C and provide a tune-up service. We received a flyer in the mail for Command Comfort so I thought I would call them along with a couple of other companies. Command was the only company to get back with me and promptly set up an appointment. Communication has been fantastic; I received a confirmation text the day before my appointment and a text 30 minutes prior that they were on their way. Tyler arrived early and got right to work assessing our system. He was polite, very knowledgeable, honest, and happy to answer any questions we had. What we really appreciated where the suggestions he made to help our system run more efficiently. Our a/c system is fine, it's the ducting that could use an update. Sometimes a company deserves a great review not just for a certain service or quality of work, but for the character of their staff, and their response to customer calls. I had no heating or air conditioning work done by Command Comfort, but I would absolutely recommend them, based on the customer service I recently received... I recently had the roof of my house replaced, and someone mistakenly dropped something heavy on the large air conditioning condenser unit behind my house. The top of the metal casing had a huge dent in it, preventing the fan from rotating. My unit was over 10 years old, so I wasn't sure if I the top would still be available as a part. I called Command Comfort, since they were a distributor for my air conditioner brand. I spoke to Michael, who took down my model number, and contacted his supplier to see if the top was still available. The next time I spoke to him, he said, "This is your lucky day... we just got in your exact model, from a customer who is getting another air conditioner, so we will let you have the top for free!" I drove over to Command Comfort, and Michael had cleaned it all up, so it looked brand new. I couldn't believe it. Command Comfort could have charged me anything they wanted for that part, but they gave it to me at no charge. That says something about their honesty, and their character. I feel very comfortable recommending Command Comfort for heating or air conditioning issues, based on this experience. I will be using them myself if the need arises. 8/8/18 So my first raving review was for the mini-split put in my man cave connected to my garage. All continues to go well with it. Very happy. This past June of 2018 I decided to have my entire house outfitted with mini-splits. I had been resistant as I live in an historic 1928 home and didn't like the AC placement option in my main living room. Initially, it was going to be in a spot that I thought would be an eyesore. About a year later, Jami contacted me with a new solution placing the AC over my front arching window by knocking holes in my plaster walls and feeding the AC line down the wall and through my sub-floor crawl space, out of the backside of my home and up to the rooftop condenser. It was a risky and potentially messy solution. Jami brought out a couple team specialists to scope out the project in advance. They even purchased an infrared wall x-ray thing to verify that there was enough space beneath my wall to feed the line properly. He even lined me up with a master plaster repair specialist, Joe Anaya. We moved forward with the project and I'm happy to say that the installation and clean-up was performed to perfection by two very professional and talented installers, Paul and Jon. It's been a pretty hot summer so far, but I'm not suffering a bit. My new system completely rocks and I can't recommend enough. I also got a 3-year interest free Mitsubishi loan! Do it!!! read more

This is a review for COMMAND COMFORT, LOS ALAMITOS. In a nutshell: Chris, the owner/salesman, quoted me on a system and took my deposit. He then upsold me for a system 2 sizes larger; I compromised with a system 1 size larger. Not only did the upsized system not fit, but even the original size system that Chris measured and quoted me for would not fit. The only option was an additional upsell that would have tripled the price of the original order. I felt that he should return my deposit; he disagreed. I took him to small claims court. He told the Judge that the unit would not fit because I upgraded to a larger system and he claimed to be the "expert". He APPARENTLY went on vacation right after he wrote up and upsized my order, which explains why he didn't catch his own mistake. Whatever his reply is to this review, remember that next time it might be you writing a review. I hope that this review will help people like me. read more

Found Command Comfort because they are on the approved list for servicing the the heat pump systems in the condo units at The Marquee in Irvine. David and Chris Parker (the owner) came out. They pointed out something on both units which would need to be either repaired or replaced on our next service. I received a phone call from Chris within a week with a quote for repair versus replacement of this part. David came back the next morning, after the servicing of the heat pumps, to make some adjustments on both heat pump units, so that they would be quieter. The wall furnace in the home went out on New Year's Eve. I like to do things to repair things on my own however when it comes to anything gas or electrical related I always have a professional take a look at it for obvious safety reasons. I initially had the gas company come out to take a look at it. I presumed it was the thermal couple but when they took a look at it their diagnosis was that there is something not working in the thermostat box. The landlord called Command Comfort (AC) to take a look to see if it could be fixed or if the unit needs to be replaced. The company called prior to the appointment to confirm. Jack the Jonathon came as scheduled. They asked what the problem was and quickly went to work on the unit. Within 10 minutes they were able to advise on the cause and had gotten the furnace to start working again. They provided a clear explanation as to why the unit went out and what needs be done to keep the unit working. They also did recommend the unit be replaced as it is over 20yrs old. Communication with Jamie was great until the purchase was completed. He wouldn't reply for days. He was always in meetings apparently and for spending so much I expected better faster communication. The day of install, no one had confirmed if they were actually coming, the units they installed were not what I was expecting - they brought in american standard ones and I was never shown pictures or the real units until they were up on my walls. They look archaic and stick out so much! Spent over $20K for 5 units and for that amount of money I feel they could have done better with communication, removal of material (trash) that they left behind that I now have to pay for. I texted the owner when the units were not working for 2 nights in a row after install and no response. Double check what you're getting and make sure you ask that they to show you the units in person before you order so you're not disappointed like I am. Also make sure they check your electrical fully before install day to not be surprised like we were (they told us we had issues and I had to find an electrician that day to come and spent an extra unexpected $3K because it was urgent, last minute). Overall could have had a better experience. read more

I was super impressed with this team for many reasons. They were on time, quick with the service, cleaned up after themselves and thoughtful. Let me elaborate on thoughtful.... We had our furnace replaced and when it came time to test it, one of the guys had told me that it does omit an odor and they'd like to run the system for about 10 minutes to get the odor out. He recommended I take my 16 month old daughter and 2 dogs outside during this process just to be on the cautious side. I would have never known that given I know nothing about the topic, I was grateful for that. They had the parts needed and were able to replace our furnace within 2 days of contacting them. After many summer's of suffering the heat of summer with a unit air conditioner , I decided that I needed to upgrade to something more efficient . So I saw an add In my local newspaper called the Grunion Gazette for a HVAC unit air conditioner with a company called CommandAir . I made the appointment for an estimate and Jamie arrived to my house on time and was very professional even putting booties on his feet so as not to bring in dirt to my small home . He measured and told me what would work best with a very fair estimate and I made the appointment for installation . We hired Command AC to replace our air conditioning unit last month after it started to fail. No surprise there, as it was the original system that came with the home when we bought it 35 years ago. Chris, the owner, gave us a very fair quote, but his experience and professionalism truly won our business. His two technicians came out and completed the install in 4 days. They re-did all of our duct work, installed a brand new unit and to top it off, they built a new wooden base that had started rotting away at no extra charge. We were very impressed with the guys and felt very comfortable having them in and out of the house while we went about our normal routine. They were incredibly patient with showing us how to use the new thermostat and helped my husband and I understand the ramping process for heating and cooling the house. I promised a good review to Chris, but been so busy enjoying the cool air in my home that I haven't had the time to write anything. 3 months ago, I called Command A/C to come look at my A/C which was only pushing out warm air. I was able to schedule a day which worked best for me with ease. Chris and Jack arrived 15 minutes early (with a heads-up call that they were on the way) and got to business. Apparently there was a leak in my A/C system and refrigerant was leaking through one of the valves. After about 2 hours, the refrigerant was replenished, leaks sealed and my A/C was running EXTREMELY powerful. It used to take my A/C 15-20 minutes to get the temperature to bearable levels. No exaggeration, it now takes less than 2 minutes. My A/C unit also runs a lot quieter outside, which is good, because it's located next to my neighbors bedroom window. Before Command A/C did their magic, the unit sounded like a loud screeching alarm. So it's been 3 months and the A/C unit still cools in less than 2 minutes. Their service was top notch, and the guys were actually comfortable to have around. No socially awkward contractors in my house! Oh, and they put covers around their shoes when entering the house.
