    Sweeping simply spreads residue.

Beware a potential hazard zone awaits. Three stars deducted for the AFTERMATH. One star is for friendly service and on time arrival. The second star is for the appearance of the tub once the job was complete. Now I'll give you the gist: The property management contracted this company to reglaze the tub in our second bath. I was given zero preliminary instructions other than an underestimate of how much time the whole process would take and a warning about fumes. Of course I instinctively figured out that removing personal effects from the bathroom was necessary but I'll explain the extent of the transformation shortly. The strong odor and likely hazard from the fumes requires an extended evacuation from the unit. I remained on the porch for most of the process (about 5 hours) and in my car for the last portion (more than 4 hours). Yes, the entire job took roughly 9.5 hours and after a whole day of waiting the final clean up was only partially complete. After it was said and "done" I remained away for an additional 6 hours. I didn't use the shower/tub for 72 hours because no one bothered to tell me how long the refinishing takes to cure. No offense to the worker who came to prep and glaze but he was a trainee. He was very polite and he did his best to be accommodating yet our combined novice and complete unawareness proved a bit inadequate. He covered many things throughout the unit which has an open floor plan. I closed off the bedrooms and refused to have the exhaust piping run through a bedroom to access a window. No one had bothered to mention the need to run the exhaust duct. As a reasonable option the duct ran out the front door. To avoid toxic exposure the plants on the front porch were, thankfully, covered per my request. Equally as polite as the trainee the painter arrived about 5 hours in and he moved some plants and secured a few things for protection. Admittedly I had evening plans so 9.5 hours for setup, prep, glazing, and painting was all I could spare. I peeked at the tub and locked the door after the clean up was "complete". Doing a thoughtful inspection had to wait especially since the fumes were overwhelming. Upon my return I noticed powdered residue spread all over the floor due to sweeping rather than mopping. Residue was also obvious in the closet adjacent to the bathroom, on the stove about 10-12 ft away from the bathroom, and on other items/furniture as far 20ft away. Wow, what a nightmare, plus the shower head was left unmounted, tape and covering hadn't been completely removed, and plastic sheeting was left in one area. Boy was I grateful for the built-in exhaust fans and air purifiers I left running. The next day the on-duty property maintenance worker agreed, thankfully, to come in and complete the unfinished mounting, overspray sheeting removal, and floor mopping. Commercial Bath should send their workers better prepared, trainees should have assistance, plus patrons deserve much better cleanup and fair warning about the arduous process.

This store pretty much has all their vanities on display so you can see the different wood finishes and size options, which ones come with a sink and which ones have a separate sink. The prices are great compared to other custom vanity places. The store is huge and seems overwhelming. They carry a lot of products for your kitchen, bathroom and other rooms in your home. Since I was focused only on purchasing a vanity, I tried my best not to look at all the other products they carry, such as floor tiles, wood floors, bathroom tiles, shower fixtures, toilets, mirrors, shower doors, etc. So much to look at!! Richard helped me with my questions. He was knowledgeable and patient. He showed me comparable products around the floor then put my order together. Most items are in stock! That's great!! No need to wait for delivery. What I like about PHD is that I can purchase my products and my contractor can pick them up. I don't have to haul a vanity in my tiny car. Returns have a restocking fee. Make sure you like what you're getting.

Anthony Cao, the owner, is super nice, knowledgably and pleasant to work with. They carry a couple major lines of cabinetry. I was able to find the brand that is slightly taller 34.5" that fits our needs (vs the standard 33"). The shop's focused on custom made or semi-custom made cabinetry. With my odd size vanity requirement, they were able to quickly offer a 3 cabinet solution that covered my needs. They will also suggest a couple countertop places to shop for and ordering via Excelle gets you a 10% discount. I visited the shop multiple times and happy to report that the experience has been consistently pleasant. Good coffee, good music, sound advice and they are super patient to let us visualize the colors and styles with different samples. Lead time is reasonable within a week for us and delivery was trouble-free.

Highly recommend Excelle Kitchen…read more It took us nearly three months to finalize our design, as we went back and forth on numerous options. We were set on using Shiloh Malibu cabinets with a reeded design and built the entire kitchen around this focal point, which made the design process both complex and unconventional. Throughout the journey, Kailun created what felt like 20 different design iterations and cost estimates, helping us carefully evaluate every possibility. In the end, we couldn't be happier with the result. The quality of the Shiloh cabinets is outstanding. The natural wood tones give the kitchen a warm, organic feel that is anything but bland. The variation in the wood grain makes the space feel truly unique and custom. We decided to mix two different wood tones, which initially made us a little nervous, but the final outcome exceeded our expectations. The soft-close features are excellent, and the craftsmanship is evident throughout. We highly recommend Kailun and the team to anyone looking for a thoughtful design process, exceptional service, and beautiful, high-quality cabinetry.

My experience with Bay Stone Depot was extremely frustrating and disappointing…read more I purchased two stone slabs for my home, expecting premium quality and service given the price. Within weeks after installation, pit marks and dents began developing on the surface. Over the following months, additional defects continued to appear under normal use. When I reported the issue, Bay Stone initially acknowledged it as a quality concern but directed me to work directly with their supplier rather than handling it themselves. After months of follow-up, the supplier's representative inspected the slabs and offered replacement slabs. I then returned to Bay Stone to request some form of refund instead of replacement, since the cost of uninstalling and reinstalling the slabs makes the replacement offer impractical and financially unreasonable. Bay Stone indicated that a refund might be possible but claimed the supplier required the original slabs to be returned. That was not what I had been told. After I confirmed with the supplier that returning the originals was not required, Bay Stone changed its position. The manager, Kimberley, told me it was "not scientifically possible" for pit marks to develop after installation and suggested I should have identified the issue at delivery. I provided multiple dated photos showing the progression of the defects. After that, my messages went unanswered. What stood out most was the lack of ownership and empathy. Kimberley was not apologetic and did not appear interested in finding a practical resolution. Instead, responsibility was repeatedly shifted, and ultimately, the issue was attributed to me for not raising it at delivery, even though the slabs appeared fine at that time. It felt as though once payment was made, accountability ended. When customers pay premium prices, they expect both quality materials and meaningful support if something goes wrong. In my case, that expectation was not met.

Incredibly patient and provided 5-star customer service. We highly recommend him! I should also add that the associates at this store demonstrate poise and grace, even when getting screamed at. Unfortunately when we were in the store today, we witnessed a customer yelling at and berating an employee, a customer, and the store manager. She stated that she was part of a group of investors who flip houses and that she has spent so much money at the store, so she was entitled to certain things and bypassing rules other customers follow. I have never seen such poor customer behavior and yet Adam (our associate) and Andrew (the manager) reacted calmly and tried to de-escalate the situation despite this entitled customer's tantrum. I, along with other customers, were complimentary of the ability of the associates to keep their cool in spite of the behavior exhibited towards them.

This is a big store and you can check out their products online as well…read more Our contractor recommended this place as he has an account there with deep discount that can be passed onto the customers. They have a variety of tile selections and most of them were imported from Italy or Spain which with better quality there's less yield loss, hence you can buy less. Some of the special priced items have longer lead times, so make sure you double check with them. We didn't enjoy the process as much as with other shops because of 3 reasons. First of all, our sales contact was quite unavailable on the weekends or even Friday afternoons, so we had a hard time scheduling with her. But if you just walk in and ask for help from the front desk, they will assign someone to help. The second issue we found was the inconsistency of product introductions. We were worried about slippery tiles in the shower, our sales contact suggested us to focus on the tiles that have a special coating. The second sales person we talked to said the special coating was only for outdoor use, using the gauge lines between tiles is good enough to prevent slipping. Thirdly, after we got the quote, we couldn't place the order into the system with our contractor's discount; only that appointed sales person could do. Luckily we could get the rest of the process done via email and she sent out a link for me to make payment. If you have a Rakuten cash back app and pay online, I think you get the cash back as well.
