Pulled up for assistance with a tire and was nicely greeted by a mechanic ( Michael Scott ) within the first 30 seconds. I told him that I was going on a road trip the next day so he asked if he could check a couple other things so I could have a safe trip. He topped off fluids and showed me how to check my own car issues in case something was to happen during my road trip. I hate to have to give this review, but people need to know my experience with them. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a tire/wheel shop. My experience was over a three week period; including damage to my vehicle, damage to wheels, three sets of wheels, five rebalancing, and so on. It started when I ordered a set of wheels from them. When the wheels came in, I took it to them and had them installed. When they were pulling it out of the bay, they heard scraping noises. So they pulled it back in and had to rebalance them. When I got home, my wife noticed some of the balancing weights had fallen off. After calling them, they said to take it to another Commercial Tire location to have the wheels rebalanced. This Cole location stated that they were using new types of weights and were having trouble with them. The other location was suppose to have the old type. So, I took it to a different location. They rebalanced them and I drove off. About three minutes into the drive home, I heard some scraping noises. So I drove back to have them look at it. The problem was they were just closing up and are closed on the weekend. They couldn't look at it until Monday. I had to leave my truck there over the weekend. Monday rolls around, and I get a call. They said a weight had fallen into my caliper and got stuck. It got stuck in a position where it was scratched up the new wheels, my caliper, and rotor. Mind you, this a brand new 2024 Ram 1500, purchased two months ago. They were able to remove the weight and I drove off. I took it back to the Cole location to get things figured out. There excuse for this happening was down to the truck having bigger rotors and the wheel specs, effective putting the blame on everyone else but them. My thought was, if somehow it was the wheels itself, I needed to get into a different set of wheels. So I go home and start looking at different sets. I found one set that I really liked and called them to order it. Then I spent the next several days battling them with numerous called by them. They kept telling me the vendor didn't like the choice and we would have the say issues as the others. There were countless calls from Commercial Tire saying they wouldn't fit and they would have weight issues. So, I made some calls to their competitors(Les Schwab and Discount Tire). One: I asked them if these balancing weight issues were normal. I explained everything to them and they were dumbfounded. Both places had never heard of this issue. They said this should never happen. Two: I asked them about the wheel I wanted them to order and they both said they should fit just fine. Essentially: I had a set of aftermarket wheels I bought in April that I didn't like. The wheels were 18x9 and a -12 offset. I have 35 in tires and a level on the front. The new wheels(replacing the damaged wheels) were 18x9.5 and -18 offset. This was a very minor change. I can only assume Commercial Tire didn't want to change them out. After talking and talking to them, I forced it and had them order the wheels anyway. After a week, the wheels came in and drove over to get them installed. These new wheels were about $120 more expensive than the the damaged/new set. I was planning to pay the difference. Then they throw a massive scam curve ball. The taxes for the damaged/new wheels were not going to be refunded. The new set of wheels I was there for, I would have to pay another full set of taxes. This means they took $100 of taxes they were taking back, and wanted another $110ish in taxes for the set I was there for. I spent thirty minutes arguing with them about their legal responsibility to refund taxes. They both sat there and lied to me about it. It got to the point where my wife was arguing with them. We feel completely scammed by them. On top of this, the new set of wheels were not the ones I ordered. So I had to wait another week for the right set to come in. I had correct set installed today. After all of this, I didn't trust Commercial Tire anymore. So after the install, I took my truck to Discount Tire to look over the truck. They found the wheels/tires badly out of balance. Commercial Tire couldn't even balance the set right. The last two weeks I was driving around on their set of wheels(damaged and wrong set) feeling like I as driving on bumps, while on a smooth road. Discount Tire said they did the wrong time of balancing on the wheels and rebalanced them. This Is a really long review, because there was a lot of problems. They never did address my caliper and rotor damage. The only thing they did right was not charging me the difference of the wheels. No amount of words can fully explain how bad this was. My wife and I felt cheated, scammed, lied to, and manipulated. This will go on every review site and a formal complaint will be file to commercial tire. I doubt anything will be done but have to try. They sold me garbage Cooper tires and now the only way to get a prorated fair amount back is to provide detailed invoices of tire rotations, what a crock of sh_t. My initial experience was generally positive. I selected the tires and the store staff assisted me with the order and an appointment for installation. Install went fine...reasonably fast. At the time of the installation, the staff told me to come back to the store after I had driven the car 100 miles so they could check and re-torque the lug nuts. This is a 1.25 hour round trip for me so I found a gap in my calendar and went back to the shop this morning. The person at the shop told me that a re-torque wasn't necessary and essentially "dismissed" me - he was quite indignant and uncaring about my waste of time. I suggested that they re-train their staff and pretend like they care. read more

During my routine oil change (not here), I was told I had a staple in my tire. I went to Les Schwab who had a wait, then noticed Commercial across the street. The difference in customer service was palpable. The man who greeted me was kind, made small talk, was interested in the problem, and encouraged me to come back the next day to get it fixed. So I did. They saw me right away and fixed it for free. Because of this experience, I am using them for a future appointment this weekend (at a different location in town). There were complications with the parts replaced in our suburban. Steve worked with us until we had full resolution in the repairs. Dustin made our kids day when he gave them all soccer balls. The mechanics were patient and willing to troubleshoot every time the code came back on. Of course both parties (us and the shop) had frustrations but being willing to work together and take the time needed to get everything fixed left us feeling confident and satisfied in our experience. In the end the problem wasn't with the work provided but the parts that were used. We would feel confident coming back, although they may never want to see our troublesome suburban again. Great staff all around. Had a somewhat irregular request so stopped in to see if they were willing to help. They were super busy so was going to be a couple hours, manager told me to come back the next day around a certain time and they'd get me in. Sure enough next day, still was very busy but they got me in and out in 30 minutes. Reminded me of what tire shops in this valley used to be like, willing to help out without all the extra sales pitches. After reading that this location was the first in Boise I was proud that they've kept the integrity of what Boise was built around. Thanks again! read more

So we are traveling on business and decided to get new tires and brakes before we head onto our next adventure - we called, ordered the specific tires we desired and the gentleman on the phone was friendly, helpful and able to get us the tires next day. Great! Next day comes and we drop off the van after we get a call that the tires arrived - at this point all was well but for me personally I was a little annoyed they didn't tell us or warn us that we were going to have to wait forty minutes for all the other cars to finish up ahead of us. Maybe this is too much to ask for but the common courtesy, especially after we told them that we are just going to be here waiting, would have been nice. Two hours later we get a call that we need new rear calipers. Fine. Stuff happens but we personally had an appointment to get to so we asked for them them to throw new pads on so we could drive down the road to our appointment and come back tomorrow. According to company policy they will not put new pads on, only replace the whole system, but wait, they don't have a caliper and they need to order it in - still wont put break pads on for us to get down the road though. I understand policies and all but sometimes things aren't that cut and dry. We were very upfront since yesterday about our situation and they made it sound like no problem. I took a starr off for not taking care of the customer overall in this situation and for really lacking to give us a proper time frame or courtesy to tell us that the work would not BEGIN for close to an hour from the time we dropped off. read more

These guys have always been great and extremely helpful. I've used their services on a couple of occasions and everything well done. On another occasion I limped in on a flat tire that had to be replaced. They did not have a direct replacement, so they did everything they could to help me find a difficult to find tire in town and get me on the road in good enough shape to safely get to the other tire shop. This store is definitely my first choice in the valley. read more

Bought a new to me pick up and asked that they check it out for safety issues. They replaced ball joints and a steering drag link but left me with brakes worn down to the rotors. You'd think a tire store would catch something like that. I had all four brakes and rotors changed elseqhere and they lost over $500 in business just because they didn't check. read more

I went to Commercial Tire after discovering a nail in my tire. I made it there about 20 minutes before they were scheduled to close. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facility was clean and comfortable. They repaired my tire, and didn't charge me. I'll be back. read more

I took my Toyota Rav 4 in to get my tires rotated yesterday. They rotated them and found two nails in my front tire. They fixed the tire that had the nails in it and didn't charge me for any of it. The staff were very nice and efficient. I will definitely buy my tires there. Karleen read more

They may or may not have good customer service but they have excellent selections. I did arrive late at 6:03 PM and they do close at 6 in their defense. Customers in the store, doors unlocked and every bay door wide open so I thought they are open but they were not. Luckily they suggested that I try Einsteins Oilery and they were right, they were AMAZING!!!! Full service including free drinks brought to you and a newspaper, a freaking newspaper!!!! Not to mention it cost less and was lightning fast. So if you need a good suggestion on where to spend your hard earned money I can suggest no one more highly. read more

I will forever tell people to stay way from this place. Took my suv in to get a small problem fixed. Waited over an hour then they came out and told me I needed over a $1,000 in repairs. They said they wouldn't fix my original problem because it was unsafe. I left with out them fixing anything. Took it to another mechanic. He put my car on s lift and physically showed me the parts they were talking about. Only one thing the said needed to be fixed. The other mechanic fixed it and the original issue go just over $200. We are in the process of moving across the country and discovered this morning that we had a nail in our 35 inch mud tire. After several attempts to get it repaired elsewhere, we called these guys. We arrived as they were about to close for the holidays. They were extremely nice, professional and fast! They did not charge us for their work and wouldn't accept any money! Very disappointed in this establishment. I went in this afternoon to have a simple hole patched in my tire. While I was waiting for the issue to be solved, I heard a group of the employees talking and laughing. They were saying things like "even a retard could do better than you!" I found this to be extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. On top of that, they gave me mountains of false information. Telling me that my shocks were original equipment, when I just had them replaced a few months ago. They told me that my tires were all over 5 years old, I just had 2 of them replaced 8 months ago. They told me that I was out of alignment, took it to a mechanic...It is perfectly aligned. They told me that my tires were all bald, they ALL have tons of tread. They tried repeatedly to tack on around $1,000 of extra charges which were almost all unnecessary. On top of al of that, they did not even take care of the simple problem that I came in with. The only relief that I have, is that their salesmanship is so tacky and poor that even a child could see through it. I won't use them again. read more

Worst experience in my life. I went in to buy a new set of tires, to start I was treated like a 10 year old with much disrespect. Then after I ordered the tires I wanted they said they ordered the wrong ones, but they convinced me that these were better ones and by this time I was just done with them and was like whatever. After they were installed I waited 4 hours just for them to be aligned. A month after getting these installed the tires look like shit. They look like they have been sitting in a junk yard for 5 years, they are all brown and old looking. Then when I was driving in a parking lot and rubbed against a curb the tires blew... that's right they popped from rubbing against a curb. Then I called commercial tires and told them and they wouldn't give me any kind of discount even though when I bought them they said they would have a warranty and under a year they popped but they said they wouldn't give me any kind of discount or anything. misdiagnosed same brake problem 3 times! problem was some other part but they said that doesn't mean it !been the problem!? point is that this could have been a serious issue involving grakes and afte three visits the problem wasn't fixed. now they want additional money $1,100 + to fix it. professionals should have caught this the first time if not the second or third! read more
