Located inside Hotel Indigo - our home away from home for a week - so it was only natural we made a few stops here. We were mostly here for starter drinks and nightcaps. We made one breakfast buffet stop as well (honestly, not worth the tab - go out and spend it somewhere else, there's a good chance you'll get something better.) They're pretty popular not just with hotel patrons. There were many locals and non-hotel customers coming through for drinks and apps. Grant was our bartender for the week and he was incredibly knowledgeable. He made really good suggestions when I couldn't make up my mind. We also tried a few things on their food menu. CHICKEN AND WAFFLE SLIDERS: Waffles were made fresh and ditto with the chicken. It was a combination of slight crisp, sweet and savory all in one. CREOLE MANCHEGO - CHICKEN CAESAR: Veggies were fresh. Chicken was seasoned well and juicy - good level of savory. They were generous with the croutons and parmesan cheese. The dressing was not overpowering. This salad was refreshing! SPICY WINGS: This is the best wings I had in NOLA. The skin was crispy and the seasoning was perfect. It's juicy inside - no hint of dryness. It wasn't spicy at all, but irrelevant. (You can always add hot sauce.) We had it the first night we were here and never failed to put in an order each time we made a stop. Highly recommending that if you happen to find yourself here, GET THESE! FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 5. Grant and all other servers and workers were amazing. VALUE: 5. More than fair for what you get! PARKING: I believe they have valet parking, possibly for a fee. OVERALL: 5. This whole area - including reception - was always clean. I don't remember ever seeing any clutter. Staff was mindful of keeping things clean - even during down time, you'll find them wiping or sweeping areas down. Grant mentioned we were his regulars for the week and to come back when we can, "even if you're not guests of the hotel, and even just to say 'hi'." I wouldn't mind staying in this hotel again if only to make a stop here, but if that wasn't the case, definitely coming back for the drinks and the grub! read more

While visiting NOLA for our anniversary we stayed at the Hotel Indigo. Common Interest is the restaurant attached to the hotel so we ate there. I was pleasantly surprised. The reviews were not that good. For me the food was good. I had the shrimp stacker and it was good. My wife had some shrimp pasta and that was good. We did room service and it was fast. The restaurant is a decent size with a bar. It can get loud because there's nothing separating the restaurant from the hotel lobby. Personally I wouldn't go here unless staying at this hotel. read more

Had breakfast here once during my stay at the hotel and it was so good. I had the CBD Breakfast Waffle Sliders (don't be fooled, there are no medicinal products in this dish lol) with scrambled eggs instead of the default sunny side up. It was so delicious. One is enough, but I ate both because the food was that good. My friends had the Creole Shrimp and Grits and the Fried Chicken Waffle Sliders with the Breakfast Potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was very filling. Service was a little slow, but that is to be expected at a small hotel restaurant. Came in later in the evening after a day of bad weather. Only one person was working the restaurant and bar. We ordered a Caesar chicken salad and blackened fish with red potatoes and vegetables. Neither was really good. Potentially a great spot for a drink and a bite. read more

We sat down about 9:10 am. Staff seemed missing. They came out and was attentive to the people near the bar but the rest of the restaurant was ignored. It took them nearly 20 minutes before even getting us a drink order, but no menus. They only gave one of us coffee and forgot the cream. We asked for menus three times. They were out of potatoes, cobbler and some other items that we didn't understand. We had to wave them down again to order. We got one of our meals finally at 10:40 and the other at 10:50. Their breakfast hours ended at 10:30. So we were there almost 2 hours and the size of the meal was so small that we had to go get lunch right afterwards. read more

If you're checking into the hotel early and waiting for your room to be ready, this is a good place to hang out. I had breakfast/ brunch twice. Both times it was pretty good with generous portions. We were tired after a long, fun NOLA weekend, hungry, and just stumbled on this hidden gem!!! We were greeted by the bartender, Kesha, warmly, and she made our whole experience. I am giving this 4 stars because my Benedict was delicious and Consuela the bus person. Our waiter was no attentive and if I hadn't gottenConsuela attention we never would have gotten our food. My husband sent his back bc it was cold but it came out hot really fast. I worked in the industry and I know how hectic it can get but Benjamin waiter please go back to your tables. Went on a Tuesday evening with a small group. It's in the lobby of the Hotel Indigo. Service was so leisurely as to be nearly lackadaisical! Fairly limited menu. I ordered the Debris and Grits. That's roast beef for those not in the know. The meat was served on top of the grits in a good size bowl. Roast beef was seasoned well, and the grits were good, too. There was enough grits for four people, at least! I would have preferred way less grits and a small vegetable side dish or salad. read more

The food is amazing! Had the debris and grits and couldn't finish the whole dish even though I kept trying! Big portions and great flavor. On a cold, wet night in NOLA, it was the perfect dish. My food came out quickly and served in a cool pot on top of a wood board...presentation definitely takes it to a next level. The drinks are nothing to laugh at either. Good selection of rums (important for me) and their drink menu covers all bases. The staff are super friendly and treat you like family. Grant at the bar was amazing. He gets to know you and will recommend drinks or even things to do in the area based on what you like. He took the time to ensure my food and my drink were perfect. The restaurant is located in the New Hotel Indigo which is a couple blocks from the French Quarter. Perfect location and the hotel is beautiful. Quite literally the worst service from an indifferent staff in a hotel lobby. It took us ten minutes to be acknowledged and brought menus. We then ordered a cinnamon roll for the table to share before breakfast. The four of us ordered a waffle, two egg/bacon skillets and a scramble. 35 minutes later, we still had no plates, no utensils, empty waters, and empty coffee cups. When the food arrived, all of it came at once (cinnamon rolls too) except for my wife's scramble. We waited a few moments then asked how much longer her food would take because we felt bad eating without her. The horrible waiter looked surprised and asked what she ordered. Omg. My 8 year old son's waffle was the size of my palm and it cost $13. A Total joke. By the way, when we finally got 'plates' and 'utensils', they were coffee saucers and plastic silverware in plastic wrap. Unreal. This place should not be a functioning restaurant and the Hotel Indigo should be ashamed of the product they are putting out at this location. Absolutely dreadful in almost every way. Only slightly redeeming quality was that the cinnamon rolls were pretty good. Otherwise, an embarrassment to the hotel and the city of New Orleans. read more
