Service was slow, inattentive and so lacking. The food was average and EXPENSIVE. Presentation was nice. Shrimp and grits needed bread or something as there was enough sauce to call it a soup.

We are outdoors, first meal in NOLA. Service was decent, very slow it felt...took some time to get out drinks. We were a table of 10 I should add, but still. Salad was just okay, chicken was chicken...nothing really amazing about it tbh. Ranch was basic. Ordered the spinach dip, that was served hotter temp with chips and was very good. Also ordered the bbq shrimp as an app, was very good...sauce was yummy but shrimp were small there weren't enough. Not sure if we'd visit again, location is great...get to see and hear all the sounds from the balcony but food was pretty basic at that.

Casual vibe on bourbon street area. Some dishes are a hit and others a little bit of a miss. The shrimp grits was delicious. The chargrilled oysters was ok. The raw oysters could use some more cleaning to remove the shell pieces on the meat. Cocktail mixes are not consistent. It depends with the bar tender on duty. But service is good. It's a casual, fun, reasonably priced pit stop for food.

I wanted to avoid the lines at other oyster bars and found myself at Le Bayou. Sat at the bar and was taken care of by Izzy, the main man behind the bar. I came here with one purpose and one purpose only- some good ole' oysters and boy did I get some. Ordered multiple rounds of the following: 1) Raw Oysters ( Izzy took care of us and gave us some massive ones) Comes with classic toppings, sauce, spicy seasoning, horseradish and cocktail sauce. Dress as you please 2) Chargrilled Oysters: Done the classic way with cheese, butter, parsley and lemon on the side. 3) Ya-Ya Oysters: Pesto-coated oysters- a good combo for sure! Would recommend if you want some oysters and variety!

I can't really say anything bad about Le Bayou. We ended up getting a few things, mainly the 2 pastas (The Ya Ya Shrimp is great, the Jambalaya also good, but Ya Ya for the Yaya. and some oysters. The YaYa Grilled oysters are...decent? The sauce they use is really good, but it does overpower the oysters a bit but if you like garlic and butter...and let's be real, you're on a food review site. You like garlic and butter. They're good if you don't want to go anywhere else. The bread pudding was also good - if you're hunting for a Bourbon st. spot, this is a solid one.

Don't waste the bar was a blast. I was laughing. I was smiling, I was just happy to be there. The foo was awesome. The service was beautiful. The waitress knew her job. The food was up to my speed. It was very nice. The food? What's delicious no mistakes.

Pick 3, red beans and rice was very good. The jambalaya and gumbo were good too.

Food was pretty good. Nothing blew me away but nothing was bad. The server was friendly and the service was fast. It's in a cool spot right on Bourbon street so stop in if you're looking for New Orleans cuisine. Skip the bad pizza you see and get yourself some red beans and rice.

Wow this place is amazing. The ambiance is out of this world. Im truly taken aback by the team here at Le Bayou. We are hoping to use this experience as a baseline for the remainder of our trip to new orleans. If youre looking to set the tone, make this a pit stop and dive in. And our waitress Kai was the greatest in the world. She also has cat like reflexes and will NOT drop your drink

Ok realistically the three stars here is probably my personal deal. The restaurant is on bourbon street it's loud. There is balcony dining. I had boudin balls and chargrilled oysters both were well prepared and flavorful. Staff was nice and well turned out. The atmosphere was just chaotic.

Modern looking spot in the heart of French Quarter. We came in after a self-guided stroll in the area and it looked quite inviting with their open doors and clean, modern decor - a contrast to the usual architecture you'd see in French Quarter. We were quickly seated and ordered the gumbo and a dozen oysters, paired with a hurricane daiquiri. The drink was wonderful albeit a little on the light side and the gumbo was phenomenal. The oysters were a little disappointing as there are definitely better oyster spots around the corner. The ambiance is very modern so if you're looking to sneak a quick break from the usual hectic, this is the place to be. tldr; friendly service, excellent gumbo, delicious drinks, not-very-good oysters

Soooooooooo Let's talk about it America! Baby when I tell you I had the time of my life in New Orleans! I went down for my very first time for and it was EVERYTHING AND MORE! Me and my boo went to taste all the food in bourbon street and we came across this wonderful restaurant! Baby when they say southern hospitality, they mean just that! Overall the vibe was very cool! The service was even better! The food was amazing! My server was Kitty! Trust and believe I will be back to see her! I appreciate her so much! She made my first time more enjoyable! She provided top tier service! She was very attentive and she always made sure we were great! We had fried alligator, jambalaya pasta, crawfish crab cakes, and biscuits and gravy! The food was amazing! So much flavor and you can taste the love with every bite! Let's not forget the drinks! They have specials! I tried them all lol! Seriously why not! It was so worth it! Kitty! Thank you so much for an amazing experience! You definitely deserve your flowers for going above and beyond for the way you made me and my boo comfortable! We will be back to see you soon!

WARNING - if you are looking for a place where you can eat and talk with your friends - this is not the place! Extremely loud inside, not because of the customers, but because the staff were trying to bring people in from the street and were using a microphone/speaker system. Came here in the day with some friends and there was 0 talking due to the volume of the staff over the microphone. Our server was very friendly The wait time to get our food was about 25 minutes - granted there were 3 other tables that were ahead of us. Overall food was not bad BUT the price is what you would expect on Bourbon Street. I got the Taste of the Bayou all very good and filling, but pricey for the portion. The bread that was provided for my dish and my friends tasted like 2 day old bread - hard and stale. Bathroom - its a bar/restaurant I understand that, but lord were the bathroom floors very sticky (shoes were making the sticky noise)

We went to New Orleans for a cruise that we were going on, so of course we had to go to Bourbon Street. While walking Bourbon Street we found this restaurant and went in for a drink, but ended up having oysters and food. The guys said the oysters were the best they ever had. Our bartender also shucks oysters, and he has his own recipe to season them . I do not eat oysters, so I'm only passing on that they thought they were amazing and they ate a lot of them. We even went back the next day for more and found out he was off for the day. They told us that people come from all over the US for his oysters. We would definitely come back. He was also very funny.

Y'all. Y'ALL…read more Are you in NoLa for some reason? Any reason at all? Are you hungry??? Do you like cocktails, and a well-curated wine list, and an INSANE bourbon list? Do you like a plate of food that speaks classy without punching you in the wallet, and servers who don't hover, but can answer even the most random questions you could have about the stuff on your plate? Look no further, friend. Right off the bat, after arriving on a Friday around 4:45 PM we were seated promptly, given water and the tastiest little sweet yeast rolls ever (the tops actually crackled when you squish them you guys), and made our bevvie choices. Tonic with lime for me (I'm behaving rn) and an Old Fashioned for wifey. Killer. We skipped the appetizer course and ended up ordering off the specials menu for both meals. She got braised brisket with deviled egg potato salad (fantastic!) and I got grilled Amberjack with roasted Brussels, topped with pickled peppers, onion, capers, and a drizzle of olive oil and Crema. Did I mention this place has a rustic atmosphere, and cozy feel, AND a Michelin recco without a dress code required?!? We had Lemon Buttermilk Icebox pie for dessert... MY GODS. This pile of words I just typed doesn't do this place justice. Chef Link has got something special going here, and his butcher shop next door is totally groovy too. I can't rave enough about this place, and I wish it wasn't so dang far from Texas, but hey, it's just another in a list of damn fine reasons to come visit the fine folks of NoLa again.

My favorite thing we got was definitely the veggie red beans and rice. It was very balanced and cooked well. I was very excited to try their shrimp and grits, but it wasn't that great. The grits were quite grainy and didn't taste cheesy as described. They weren't creamy at all and really tasted like plain barely salted grits that could have been cooked a bit longer. The shrimp was flavorful and the sear on the outside was nice, but they were quite overcooked and tough. There was a much higher ratio of grits to shrimp and gravy than you would want, especially given the grits were not that good. However, my husband absolutely loved the chicken pasta and said it was one of the best he has ever had. They definitely can make good food but I would skip the shrimp and grits. The lemonade I ordered was also incredibly watery. The service was efficient and good overall, but very impersonal and bare minimum. Definitely efficiency prioritized over true dinner service. Not bad but not what I expected.

I've never had crawfish and seeing it was crawfish season we were destined to be here. Let's just say we left with a pretty big leftovers box We ordered the hot house flavor and do not regret it one bit! Our server was so kind to show us how to peel and eat the crawfish and honestly it was so fun!! I will definitely be back next time in New Orleans!! One quick note I will say that I learned from a local that I wish I knew before this feast (And you should double check with staff if this info is correct). Most seafood boil places in the area when they have headless shrimp it is farmed and brought in from outside retailers where if you get head-on it's from local ships in the area/fresh caught. Apparently they've been struggling and if you want to support New Orleans local fisherman then go for the head-on shrimp. Again double check with staff if their head-on shrimp is local cuz I learned this information after visiting.
