This place is incredibly disorganized and they lie through their teeth. I came in for an auto repair, and gave them my information when I arrived. Then they didn't contact me for two weeks, because somehow, the car was listed under a different name and a different phone number. Then I gave them my information, and they still didn't update it correctly in their system. When I spoke with the customer service rep, he said he would take $500 off the price, but then when I showed up to pick my car up, the discount was never applied, and the guy said he would never tell a customer he would take $500 off. This place is filled with a bunch of lying and incompetent a-holes. And for the record, if anybody from Chevy replies to this review, they are also a lying a-hole. And to top it off, when I dropped it off, the gas tank was half full, and then when I picked it up, the gas tank was completely empty. This has to be the worst dealership I have ever encountered. These guys are the reason car brokers exist and why car salesmen and car dealers have such a bad reputation. I reached out to Community Chevrolet for a Camaro lease. I explained exactly what I was looking for and asked the salesperson at least FOUR times to go over the numbers with me and to explain (1) what the selling price is for the car (I.e., what % off MSRP the dealer is selling the car for), (2) what incentives/rebates apply to the deal, and (3) what money factor / residual value is being used to compute the payment. The salesperson - Sagar Khatri - completely ignored my requests and like a broken record player kept insisting "we gave you our best numbers" when the ONLY thing they gave me was the monthly payment. The lack of transparency and the gamesmanship at this dealership is appalling. To make things worse, I reached out to the General Manager, Chad Kelman, to explain my experience and to give him a chance to make things right since he seems to be the one to respond to the one-star Yelp reviews. Of course, my attempt was futile and he ignored my email. I won't be the least bit surprised if he decides to suddenly "care" and respond to this review once he realizes I've left a one-star rating for the dealer. Seriously, shame on you guys. So we have been here twice both times they have not been able to fix our issue. We have a 2020 Chevy Trax which will overheat consistently and we will be stuck for an hour or so on the road. The coolant tank will be empty and we will be stuck. Also when we have our AC on after a few minutes of driving there's this awful clicking sound. They are telling us that we don't have anything wrong with the car. Our warranty is almost over so it seems as if they are waiting to for it to be over so they can take our money and then find what the actual issue is. They have awful communication. I was told by Jose that they could help me with an issue regarding a broken ignition key and transponder for my Chevy Spark. I would have to have the car towed to the lot and they would need to order a new key to fix the problem. I had the car towed (a $150 charge), and upon arrival was told by a bored service rep who was about as helpful as teats on a boar that the keys for my car have been discontinued. I asked why I wasn't informed of that when I made the appointment the day before. The feckless service rep had no answer, mumbled "don't know what to tell you." We purchased a 2014 Chevy Volt in 2018 understanding the purchase price as roughly $14k, only to realize they had put the purchase price at $19k and used an insurance settlement to tell us the price was $14k. Unfortunately, this place is a scam if you own an electric vehicle. Their "dealer recommended" preventive maintenance was completely out of line with the actual Chevy Volt's manufacturer's recommendations. It's a total waste of your money. If you service your Volt here, they will have you paying thousands of extra dollars for service you don't need. Look at your manufacturer's schedule in your manual. They will tell you your brake fluid should be changed every 2 years or 30,000 miles on your Volt, but the manufacturer recommends only every 150,000 miles or every 10 years. They charged me $179 to flush the brake fluid at 36,000 miles and then wanted to charge me again recently at 55,000 miles. That's completely out of line with every other recommendation. They believe transmission fluid should be changed every 2 years or 30,000 miles on a Volt even though the manufacturer says every 45,000 miles under severe conditions and only every 90,000 miles for normal conditions. When I asked Carlos why their recommendations were not specific to my electric car, he said it's for all cars and that's the best practice and they stand by it. He said the Volt is a hybrid and therefore no different from a gas engine car. He was adamant. They also charged $100 to change an air filter that you can pop out yourself easily in your glove box with no tools. The filter is $30. The labor was $70. That's BS. That's $70 for a 5-minute job. If you own a Volt, don't bring it here. They don't understand the car well enough to help you benefit from the efficiency and savings you get from a Volt. They treat you like you own an old Camaro and waste your money on unneeded maintenance. They are so adamant about their recommendations that I wouldn't trust them with my Volt again. read more

Carlos was honest and professional. Well my car is old a 2007 Pontiac and ALL cars are 'old saying goes' are old once the car leaves the lot so Carlos being honest was realistic. Windows and air conditioning vents were malfunctioning and the parts were going to take longer to get due to dealing with outside vendors. Awful but what can you do? Maybe get another car? Used? New? Decisions were made I ordered the parts. Total costs three thousand dollars and my brother and I worked with Carlos and he did give me some dollars off. I have a 2020 corvette and the hood popped open on me while driving through the canyon completely obscuring my view. I almost crashed over a cliff. I called to schedule an appointment and they turned me away saying it is a GM problem. The service tech also said that it was my fault. How can you say it's my fault when you haven't even inspected the car? I called GM and have an open case. Matt front GM called me back and told me he spoke to community Chevrolet and that it is not okay for them to turn me away. Matt said that Community Chevrolet is already aware of this and will take the car in. I called community Chevrolet again and spoke to Carlos. Carlos told me that I could not bring the car in despite GM speaking to the dealership. He made all kinds of excuses of why he couldn't take the car in and still referred to it as a GM problem. Brought my Tahoe in for an airbag recall and they told me I needed a service. $2200 they wanted! $200 brake fluid, $320 coolant just to name a few. I told them no thanks since my car had just been serviced when I replaced my radiator. I picked up my car and the next day my check engine light came on. I called them and was told that it couldn't possibly be them since they were working on the airbag only but they would check it but I would have to pay. I checked the code at auto zone and found out I had a cylinder misfiring. Replaced my spark plugs and everything was fine again. Don't bring your vehicle here for anything! Sadly, Community Chevrolet has become a den of liars, pushing bait and switch transactions. They advertise a specific price on their website. They confirm that price over the phone as being the sales price on a specific vehicle. They continue the charade as you test-drive a car and inspect the window sticker with a salesperson. Once you sit down to purchase the vehicle, they - with a straight face - secretly add on an additional $5,000 of "Additional Dealer Markup." This type of business practice is unethical and left me feeling dirty just sitting in their soiled chairs. I will NEVER consider purchasing from Community in the future, and I will be sure to let potential customers know that this dealer is NOT to be trusted. I only wish I could give them negative stars. Do yourself a favor and look for an honest dealer. If you're willing to pay over MSRP for a car, many dealers are at least up-front about their rapacious pricing schemes, and acknowledge the true pricing on their websites, over the phone, and in person. He was very knowledgeable when I had asked him about service my car needed and how to go about trading in my Honda for a bigger suv. I had an emergency on Victory Blvd with a under-inflated tire back in April and pulled into the service department where Carlos was able to help me out with exceptional customer service even tho I had a Honda. It was this service that made me go back and trade in my Honda Accord for my beautiful & stylish Chevy Traverse LT. Honestly, would give a negative star review if it was possible. Saw a vehicle online, they're right down the street so I went to see the vehicle in person and did end up purchasing. However it wasn't until after prices were tossed back and forth, putting more down than i originally intended and more that I'm made aware of things like no warranties (fine and understand for a used vehicle), the options they have are outrageous, no help with dmv titles/transfers/etc on newly purchased OR traded in vehicle, I was told "you'll probably just pay a transfer fee" when I asked if the registration for DMV was included for the next year and I find out, no, I now am paying for another years worth in full 2 months into owning the vehicle, I've also now received the registration for the vehicle I traded in so I now need to figure out how to fix that as clearly something happened. They'll wash your vehicle as per usual with any dealer but checking everything (oil/filters/fluids/tires/etc) and sending you off with a full tank of gas is too much I guess, used vehicles get half a tank and one free oil change (basically I bought a vehicle from a dealer and I would have been treated better buying from a private seller). I'll never go to these guys again, close dealer or not, I regret my purchase, I regret going against my better judgement to stick with the place I've been going for 15 years and am now stuck with a huge mistake plus more due to them. Do not give them your business, go elsewhere. These guys were the absolute definition of slimy car salesmen and I should have walked away the second I got a bad vibe. First, I tried to speak with Chad Kelman (General Manager) directly about my experience. I called and left him a voicemail on Thursday 12/12/19 at 9:21am. He did not return my call. My family and I were extremely disappointed in the sales experience. It started off well. I saw a truck online that I liked (2019 Silverado LTZ). The dealer communicated via text message pretty consistently, though it was hard to tell who I was working with. First, it was Krizia, then Jason, but it was pretty unclear most times. After trading texts over a few weeks, we decided to come in and see the truck (Friday 12/6). We met with Jason who was very nice. We liked everything about the truck except the $4,000 upgraded wheels. Jason told us it would be no problem to get the wheels swapped out with some stock wheels. Jason said they usually put the nicer wheels on the trucks on the lot so it looks good, but if a customer doesn't want them, they just put the original wheels back on. We thought that sounded great. Tuesday (12/10) we returned with the intention of buying the truck. Jason was off so we spoke to salesman Byron, who was also very nice. We confirmed with Byron that we would be able to get the stock wheels put back on the truck, so that we wouldn't have to pay for the $4,000 upgrade. Byron confirmed it would not be a problem. We made Byron an offer on the truck at that point. Next, we were directed to Sagar, who was also very nice. Sagar confirmed what our offer was and said he needed to go talk to his manager. Sagar came back with good news, they accepted our offer, however Sagar said they would not be able to put the stock wheels back on the truck at all (no exceptions). Therefore, we would need to pay the extra $4,000. Sagar said there was a mix-up in what we were told. Sagar said they checked the back storage and the lot and they did not have any stock wheels to put on the truck. Sagar also said they checked their partner dealerships and none could be found. We were very skeptical of all of this since all of this happened in a matter of 10-15 minutes. It definitely felt like a bait-and-switch situation. I called Jason the next day. He claimed to not know what happened to us at the dealership the day prior. He said he would call back in 10 minutes after he figured things out. 30 minutes later with no call, I called Jason back. He said he was just dialing my number. Jason said that unfortunately, George (the "store manager") already made the decision that we could not swap out the upgraded wheels for the stock wheels as was originally promised. I expressed my disappointment. I have no plans to return to this dealership because of the poor experience. We were promised one thing (stock wheels) and then were told we would need to pay an extra $4,000 at closing. To me, that is a bait-and-switch. The dealer's reason that this happened is that the stock wheels are "hard to find." I did some research and found that 3 different trims of this truck use the stock wheels, for both the 2019 and 2020 model years. This is a hard excuse for me to believe. Buyer beware. The service advisor, Carlos Valdez tells me it's going to be an hour and a half wait because I was extremely late. I told him my appointment was at 10:30, and I've been waiting for 15 minutes (I arrived at 10:20) Then he said, "Your appointment was at 9am." I show him the email on my cell phone that says my appointment is at 10:30am, and he tells me the system didn't update it. I say, "So I have to wait an hour and a half because the system didn't update?" (The whole purpose of making an appointment was to have priority over people who didn't make appointments) it's common sense. He said it'd be an hour and a half either way... if that's the case, then why tell me it's going to be an hour and a half wait because I was "extremely" late? That doesn't make any sense. No sorry about the confusion Sir, we will do our best to finish your vehicle ASAP, nothing. Just a very poor and unprofessional attitude. Terrible customer service. This is the second time I've had to deal with Carlos Valdez at Community Chevrolet, and he was just as rude and unprofessional the first time. I will definitely not be returning here in the future.
