Came here at 1:15pm on a Sunday. Ended up just ordering off the regular menu rather than the brunch menu. The food was good, and it wasn't crowded, however, the service wasn't amazing. Got one of our drinks wrong, had to ask multiple times for a straw, had to wait quite a while to get the check and pay. Other than that, I would probably go back. read more

I really want to give this place 4 stars cause the food and drinks were great but the service is horrible. We had Luis as our server and honestly he was just never around. Felt like we had to flag him down the whole time. My husband sat without a drink for a while because we couldn't find him, and it honestly wasn't that busy when we got there so I didn't see why we weren't attended to. But like I said the food was really good, I had the taco flight and my husband had the wet surf and turf burrito. We also had the chicken taquitos to start, all really great. I took my girlfriend here for valentines date trying out a new spot, but once we got there even though I had reservations they made us wait. Then when we got seated it took 30 minutes to have someone serve us. If you get the server Amanda you'll be waiting for a while. Nasty attitude, acting like she didn't care or want to be there. Another 30 minutes go by and my food comes out first but not my girlfriends. We shared my plate until hers came out but not once did our server Amanda check on us until she saw us sharing my food and told us that they just started to make my girlfriend's food. Around 20 minutes she then asked if I wanted it redone and I said sure, once she took my food away then here come my girlfriends food and now I had to wait. When it was time to leave couldn't find our server at all, so had to ask a different one to bring us our bill. Never asked how the food was or nothing. read more

The food looks good, but that's all. The level of service I received was absolutely horrendous and the quality of the food was subpar.  Actually, it was awful. For starters, after being seated with menus, no one came to my table to take my drink or food orders for over 10 minutes. Eventually, I  flagged down a server and asked if I could place my order. She informed me that according to her software our table had already been helped, and that's why she didn't wait on us. Really? So, if I never spoke up we wouldn't have gotten service at all. For an appetizer I tried the bone marrow tacos. The bone marrow itself was nonexistent. There was a tiny sliver of bone marrow covered by a spoonful of dry carne asada. For $18 I expected more than a giant pile of cilantro and white onions. After eating the "tacos" I set the bones on the edge of the table to be cleared along with the empty margarita glass. Server after server walked by my table and not one of them took  2 seconds to remove the dirty plates from my table. After a while, 2 of my 3 main courses arrived (why not all 3?) and I asked to have the dishes removed when my server started to walk away without clearing them. With 3 people in my party including myself, we sat there and waited for the 3rd entrée to come out so everyone could eat together. . . and waited and waited and waited. As our food got cold I finally said this is ridiculous and once again flagged down my server and asked where our third dish was. She said she'd check on it and after a while it finally arrived at the table. The pork shank lacked flavor and the accompanying beans were watery. The grilled octopus was properly cooked but it wasn't good. The service was appalling and the food was worse. One of my guests spent a portion of the meal vomiting in the restroom after eating the octopus and the braised pork shank. Surprisingly, the sushi was the best thing we had at this Mexican restaurant, although that's not saying much since no one finished their meals or took home any leftovers.  Do yourself a favor and skip Compadres Cantina altogether. read more

If you're hoping to come here for a dinner date, And have any kind of conversation, you are out of luck. The music playing at this restaurant is good but is so loud, you cannot hear a word from the person sitting in front of you. Restaurant was so dark inside, it was in the evening when the sun was going down, but they should have definitely turned up the lights by then, it was awkwardly too dark inside. I had a spicy cantarito that tasted like jalapeño water, covered with seeds, no tequila and no other taste. The Korean bbq ribs were cold and tasted way too burnt. Hostess were quite rude. I don't know what changed with this place, I came here previously about a year and ago and it was so good, so I was so completely embarrassed when I raved about this place before going last night. And it being turning out to be a bad experience all around. Would not recommend or go back. Bummer. read more

Stopped by for a quick bite on a Wednesday evening. Not many customers around but music was loud and TVs were on, which in my opinion, made it very lively. I had the poblano chicken enchiladas and an ice cold beer. The enchiladas were very flavorful, beer was ice cold and server, Oldin, was very attentive. I was hoping to take advantage of their happy hour (HH) menu but the specials only run from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and then again at 7:00 pm to close. I'll never be able to go for HH during lunch hours but I definitely hope to revisit after 7:00 pm at later date. read more

I would give this place a 4.5 stars, came here with family and another friends family. There was a lot of seating to hold our party of 8. However, make a reservation for the weekends, because I am glad I reserved for Friday Cinco de Mayo. When we pulled up @6pm there was a long line outside, and the line remained long when we left at almost 9pm. The drinks were really good I enjoyed the guava margarita, and my wife enjoyed the poolside drink, or friends loved the Cadillac with a shot of tequila. We ordered the bone marrow tacos which were heavenly! They were soooooo good, well seasoned with a good amount of meat. Also got the Korean bbq ribs which were solid and corn on the cob was tasty as well. I was still a little hungry so ordered the surf and turf tacos and pork belly taco Both of which were delicious. Our friends got the chicken enchilada which they enjoyed and we got our kids cheese quesadillas, and the rice and bean burrito which is the biggest child size burrito I have seen! Literally the kid burrito was the size of an adult entree. The only complaint were the fries they did not taste Grealish and were rather cold. We had 4 different dishes that came with fries at different times and all fries were cold, we even said to ourselves no wonder they pile on the fries cuz it is not good. The food was excellent. I noticed that they serve Mexican food with Asian combinations. Very interesting and I've never had anything like it. The mango margarita was delicious and the mechelada chicken wings were something that I've never had before and super delicious. My only issue was that it was WAY TOO LOUD. There was a DJ playing club style music and I had to yell across the table just to converse with my party. Trouble hearing as well. This appears to be great for a young crowd but I've been there done that and im too old for this scene. But good food. read more

I completely understand the hype of this place. It's trendy, they offer great drinks, and meals. Don't be fooled by it being in a plaza and not a standalone restaurant because once you're inside the place is transformed. For my visit I made a reservation through Yelp. Made my way over and since it was a random weekday we were seated right away. It seemed like it was pretty slow for them. Our waiter was very friendly. First thing he did was offer recommendations on what to drink and eat and we went for it. I only wish they offered their margarita flight in lower quantities. At least for our visit they gave us a flight of 6 margaritas and we really only had 2 alcohol consumers in our party so it was quite a lot to drink. Despite it being a large flight they were very tasty. Each one of them were of a different flavor and all had something we enjoyed. For our main entree 3 of us ordered the supreme carne asada, 1 of us ordered the pork shank, and someone got the rib eye. Presentation is awesome. I've never been served on a wood board? It's not practical but, it was cool. It was hard to eat off of it honestly. Maybe it was just us but we all either got a sleeve dirty, or dropped a lot of our food on the sides and this was us trying as much as we could not to haha. But despite the messy meal it was good. Personally, I wish the carne asada was seasoned more like a carne asada however but still good. The beans ,rice and bone marrow were good and my favorite. The person that got the ribeye was confused by what was on their plate because they've never had a meal like that before and so it was hard to dig in so at the end they wished they got a different plate. The pork shank was tasty per the person that got it. They even took it to go. Oh! And before our meal we also got chips and guacamole as an appetizer and that was FIRE. Definitely recommend that as an appetizer or as finger food if you're there for just drinks. Overall, our visit was good. Seeing as they have so many drink options I think I'll be back for those and stick to finger food like the chips and guacamole and skip on the meal. read more

I don't like that they charge a few bucks more for an extra tostada (we ordered a cocktail and only give 2 tostadas with it) Their meat is dry but seafood items and sushi are really good. We had a taco flight and surf and turf burrito. The portions were big, as was the flavor. Micheladas were delicious. Our server was zipping around and never slowed down. When someone in the restaurant had a birthday, the employees came out making lots of noise and poured a shot in their mouth.
