Ridiculous. - The building is poorly built so there are no carpets between floors (except in the bedroom) and I am on the top (4th floor) and can hear EVERYTHING the people below me do! - Beware of the outrageous and ridiculous hidden fees when moving out: - They charged me $220 for cleaning fees! I have 2 professional cleaners clean the unit every 3 weeks and they charged me $120! - They charged me $110 for "damages to the carpet"--I am borderline OCD so I kept the carpet and unit very clean! If you complain and they say it's for carpet cleaning--dispute it as it's the responsibility and decision of the company to clean the carpet for the next tenant...NOT YOU! - The arbitrary and confusing utilities fees...water/trash, etc. It increases each month! There was one month I was away on vacation for 3 weeks so the utilities bill was $3-5 less than the previous months! - They charged me $32.79 for "prorated paint charge." Again, there's nothing wrong with be paint...may be lighter due to normal wear and tear and they are the ones who decided to repaint for the next tenant so why am I financially responsible? They will try to milk every dollar out of your deposit amount! Such a scam!

Over time cracks started to show, and it became pretty obvious that they're more interested in making money than anything. Random charges, impossible to get ahold of anyone, things just falling apart or being straight up gross around the complex. People don't pick up after their dogs. full stop. The complex doesn't really provide enough garbage bins to handle the dog waste, so it's a huge issue. We ended our lease on a holdover, giving us the chance to leave at any time with 30 days notice. Essex tried repeatedly to charge us a lease break fee, and it took threatening to hire a lawyer for them to even agree to let us out of said lease. They also don't recycle. There is zero ways to recycle here, which just feels insane to me? The only good part is the maintenance staff are awesome! So friendly and remember every tenant.

His professionalism is unmatched, his kindness exemplary. I have been a renter all of my life, and Gustavo is by far the best, most hard working Onsite Property Manager I have met. Someone (don't want to name names coz I don't want to ding them personally) promptly answered the call and I excitedly explained how I'm looking to rent out our house - the person on the other end said, "it's close to 8pm on a weekday, I'm with my family, let's schedule another time... it's the nature of my job to answer the call so I did". I 100% respect a person's family time but either fix the listed hours on review sites or send me to voicemail or lastly teach politeness to your employees, otherwise it leaves a sour taste in your mouth, doesn't it? I'm unfortunately compelled to not come back to you for property managing my home ever.

    We had a change in our family situation and needed to quickly move out of the home we own into a…read morebigger rental. After move-in, we were a big stuck on what to do and how to get our home rented out. We connected with RentWise and they put us at ease. Everything moved so fast, from the moment we got off the call, things just started happened, photographers showed up and took professional pictures (after we had the place cleaned) and made a map layout of the property (got the files the that same evening). By the next morning, our home was already listed and advertised (i think it was 22 outlets that RentWise marketed the home to). Within 48 hours we had ~30 contacts. RentWise showed the home to 5 lovely couples/families that weekend and 3 qualified applicants for us to chose from a couple days after. All-in all, the process took a little over a week. I cannot believe how fast we got qualified applicants and a lease executed. They are worth every penny (it probably would've taken me a month) not to mention they got us 10% more than the top end of my expectation. My first experience with RentWise, will update the review if anything changes during the length of the relationship. Thank you again RentWise!
