Okay this is my story: I broke my compacq screen and I look at the yelps rating and heading to the computer palace. The guy who took my order then called me up and give me the price is around $300 (labor include) When i picked it up that day, is a lady who help me and charge me $255 and didnt discover the less payment and i went home happily. After a month, I used skype again, and I discovered that the build in web cam and mic is not working. then, I bring back to see is it the hardware part goes wrong. at that time he told me that we had charged you less. then, I said ok. then he said nothing and get inside to argue with a lady. after that he said we will check that up. I leave my PC there. I give a 4 stars for their fast service, they called me up couples hour later and told me is the software problem. and they charge $60. He asked me if i want to fix that I said well okay. Today, half hour ago, I picked up my computer, the guy (Fred) help me to get back the computer again. Then, he said $60 plus the uncharged part $50 for last time. I was so surprising that he didnt tell me before that, may be I am to stupid to understand what a "business man" would do, i just arguing that is the the lady's fault. and the guy just said you think you dont need to pay with that. and If i want he can take away the software but i still need to pay the $50 If he told me clearly that I will charge you $50+60=$110 I would rather buy a really good cam from best buy or any other place or if i choose to fix it I will pay it. anyhow, I will blame on the misunderstanding. But i wont bring my PC to fix it again. As doing business, i think you need to provide really clear and good information and communication with the customer, and also.....if I dont bring my computer back we both parties wont even discovered that the lady charged me less. The guy, Fred, who help me dont even think deep in that if i dont bring the stuff back they will loss the one more time business again . Now, he spoiled the relationship with a customer and I definitely wont recommended to any of my friend. For yelpers, do think about it before you go. The changing for my screen is not actually prefect,but acceptable. But the cam and mic, I would say, they just adding a new software to make the cam works and not really what I expected but it works. if you just request to work that okay. But I would rather reinstall my window and driver to make it works and not spending my time and arguing with the shop. read more

It's sometimes hard to find honorable business owners who do the job right and don't charge an arm an a leg. With this place, I feel I have. Took my son's laptop and later my office PC; and in both instances had a great experience. The viruses on my office PC were removed and the AC Adapter and screen were replaced on the laptop without scaring us into buying a new expensive unit or overcharging us. I have an early 2009 24 inch iMac. I took it to Computer Palace on a Saturday, Fred called me later the same day with diagnostic results, basically I needed a new hard drive. Brought in my 2012 Macbook Pro to update the memory. I tried to do it at home but there was a screw that wouldn't come off. These guys are great! They managed to remove the screw and replace the memory during my lunch break. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a go, they're really friendly and good at what they do. I cracked the screen of my MacBook Pro. I called several different repair shops to get estimates of cost and time of repair. Computer Palace gave me the lowest cost estimate - $120 cheaper than the next cheapest estimate! I took my computer in, they gave me a repair time estimate of four days but actually completed the repair in two days. My new screen is beautiful and works perfectly. They carefully and swiftly disassembled my computer, and began drying and absorbing the minute amounts of liquid. It was really incredible. Computer Palace is the BEST. My computer recently gave out on me and i tried fixing it myself before seeing an expert. Well that went horribly wrong, I ended up deleting everything from it and was left with a blank screen. I called up Computer Palace and explained to FRED (your awesome GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE) what happened and he told me just bring it in and I'll take a look at it. The diagnosis was very cheap ($45) which they use towards fixing your computer if you do the job with them. Fred had their tech people fix my computer and I was up and running in no time. Shawn the tech explained to me what the issue was and also explained to me how to keep my computer running smoothly. I had an issue with my MacBook a couple months back--my "s" and "y" keys stopped working. The Mac store said the only remedy was an entirely new keyboard, which would cost hundreds of dollars, and they said the ordering and repair process would take at least two weeks. My next stop was Computer Palace. They told me the same thing, but they could do it in half the time and for half the price. Beyond this obvious plus, the staff was beyond helpful. I first started using Computer Palace about 2000 as MIS computer geek for my company. They took care of all the machines for the local 6 units of the chain and the main office. Then when I had a personal problem after the store where I bought my home computer closed, I started with them. Now, after 4 desktops and 3 laptops have been repaired and upgraded, I still think they're great. Last week, I came home from a trip and turned my on 41/2 year old desktop only to face a blank screen. I immediately took it to Fred and Shawn for help, only to learn that the motherboard had been fried. They offered a good price to replace it, but, I decided to upgrade to a new machine, instead. I bought it Monday and dropped it off at the Palace, so they could transfer all my data and disks. (I run 2 companies on it.) By Thursday it was ready. Shawn had transferred one hard drive, taken all the data from 2 other hard drives and set up everything including my security systems. All for $120.00, well below what I thought they would charge for what they had to do. I took it home, booted it up and everything was as it had been. Outside of adding my passwords, I had nothing to do. Last time I was there, was to replace a mother board on my laptop, that I had fried in Australia using the wrong power level. They replaced it and all the data. Again, it worked perfectly for years. I have never had a bad experience with them, and Fred, Shawn and Nabil have always been friendly, gracious and informative. These guys are great. After having Apple tell me my MacBook Pro would cost $1050 to fix, more than the value of the machine, I was pleased to discover Computer Palace. I'd researched the cause of my problem and thought the whole logic board needed to be replaced to fix a fried graphics chip. These guys determined the board was fine and just needed to be resoldered. I've had the same laptop for years, and finally after many accidents and years of use my screen completely dislodged and came off the base, leaving wires exposed and plastic cracked off the hinges. When I called my carrier, I was given an estimate $400 above what Computer Palace ended up charging me, and that estimate was for half the work my laptop actually needed! A friend recommended Computer Palace and I am so happy with the results. I got my laptop back from repair and it literally looks as good as new ( I wish I had before and after pictures).
