This place is truly only good for making their food look appetizing and aesthetic. I ordered a Matcha with oat milk and it did not taste like authentic Matcha, you can definitely taste how poor the quality is. I also got some of the "popular" concha's and I have never eaten anything more dry. This place was one of the most horrible experiences I've experienced. You have to pay and tip first for what? To have a bad service experience. They did not do the complementary concha's, the cafe de olla was water down horrible coffee, the service was awful, the food portions are way smaller than what they promote. The food was tasty, authentic, and fast service. My husband loved the café de olla. I had the café de olla latte it was heavenly. The plates are full with flavor. This place needs an inspection. Went for breakfast today and my brother ordered a Michelada. As he was about to drink it my nephew noticed there was a fly inside the drink. We notified our waitress who took the drink back. At this point we had already been waiting for the remainder of our drinks which took forever. My brother asked for a corona but the waitress brought back another Michelada to try to make up for the last one but then we noticed there was 3 dead flies... we asked to speak with the manager however he/she didn't come check on us. Needless to say we won't be back. Please check your drinks everyone.... also we didn't even think to take pics as this has never happened to us but I wish I had to be able to post them here for reference. read more

A pretty good brunch spot here in Montebello! I had ordered a matcha latte and it wasn't the best, it was a bit too sweet with a lack of earthiness authentic matcha carries. I also ordered the waffles, which I would not get again as they were average, but my family ordered chilequiles and huevos rancheros and they seemed to enjoy those! read more

Best matcha pancakes in L.A.,my husband and I decided to try CONCHAS's CAFE, best decision ever I tried the huevos rancheros which has 2 tortillas lightly fried with soy chorizo between and cheese 2 eggs poached, avocado sliced, red pickles onions for decoration and a bed of black beans I can say amazingly enjoyed..... the matcha pancakes were fluffy and delicious with those strawberries and blackberries and cream on top. We ordered a green and red chilaquiles, 1 with "steak" (carne asada), a mocha and regular coffee. Food tasted great! The presentation was on point too, served with queso fresco. You can't go wrong with either one if you like chilaquiles. The place has a sports bar vibe, with several TVs, it's open and very loud. Definitely a home run for Montebello! The brunch was delicious and so filling. There were six of us, so we all got a different meal to rate their taste. Chilaquiles-great taste and the only thing that can make them even better is making them spicier but still a great taste overall. Huevos Revueltos were also bomb with a lot of flavors. I couldn't finish the entire meal so half of it came home. Avocado toast was a thumbs up by my teen, the breakfast burrito with plenty of tater tots on the side-also a thumbs up by my growing boy and the pancake breakfast is a must do again by my youngest picky eater. My mother had the original waffle which filled her up with the house coffee. Specialty coffees were also yummy. I got their Dulce de Leche (with only half the sugar), but honestly it tastes just like the Spanish Latte at Urth Caffe! It just needs a pinch more of caffeine and they've mastered the Urth Spanish Latte-and I can save a trip to DTLA when not in that vicinity. The service was great, food came out quickly, and even when they have the long line out the door, taking your order and getting you a table is fast! Yes-they get you a table immediately after you order so you're seated by a team member. I left out the yummy sugary Concha's served as soon as you have put in your order. When i went inside to check for my order, i told the lady in the front that we were Sitting outside and have been waiting over an hour for our food, she said "oh maybe thats why they couldn't find you" - why would you put tables outside and not check if your clients are outside. Food was super mid , if you get the steak and eggs the meat is super under seasoned. Everything is super small portion sized and expensive. The French toast taste like cheap Mexican sweet bread that's cold with a tiny amount of sauce. Super dissatisfied with the quality. Concha's cafe is a great place to eat the service was amazing and the food will surely make me come back the theme of the restaurant is just clean. The meals we had are the breakfast burrito, breakfast croissant, steak and cheese panini, and the avocado toast with smoked salmon all these meals tasted amazing I would 100% get again. First off, you're required to pay before you even sit down, which already feels off-putting, especially when you're not sure what kind of service or food quality you're going to get. Brunch at Concha's Cafe was over my expectation! It is a very family friendly place with chill music. Not only does the food have a very nice presentation but everything is delicious from the Matcha pancakes and the Chilaquiles with its roasted potatoes to their fresh smoothies! Family love it. Total was 53 dollars for the two plates, fruit, a frappe and a dulce de leche coffee (wasnt sweet enough) . First of all they have you stand in line to order your meal then they seat you. We ordered the chicken and waffles and they were okay. The pancakes were okay, French toast were not good at all. The dolce the leche iced latte was good but the vanilla iced latte was okay. The worst part is if you want a refill on a drink, you need to stand back in line to reorder a drink. So if that line is long, it's not even worth it anymore. I asked for some water and the waitress just points to a counter with a glass jug where you can go grab it yourself. I understand that it's not a big deal to go grab your own water but I am at a restaurant. The service of asking your customers to stop eating and go back in line to reorder a new drink is crazy to me and makes me not want to come back here again. Overhyped in my opinion. read more
