As a long time Honda Owner, I was going to Vacaville Honda for the past 15 years. I was advised to try out other dealerships. So I gave Concord Honda a try and I have no regrets. The dealership it self is clean and orderly. The staff here are friendly and professional. What stood out the most was this man name Chris Garcia, the service advisor. This man doesn't just do the job. He speaks Honda Language. What I mean by that is his knowledge on Honda products and vehicles is off the roof that I can hear the VTEC rev. I like to say I know my stuff but he thought me a lot specifically on tire pressure. His knowledge paid off because it made a difference in handling my CTR and prevented an accident from a bad Asian driver on the road. I was able to maneuver while maintaining grip when Liu Kang almost hit me. I know it may be little but to me it's huge and it's the little stuff that counts. I purchased a 2006 CRV outright from Concord Honda. When purchasing, I was offered the GPS security package and refused. After returning home, I found a GPS tracker hardwired into the vehicle. I have contacted Concord many times about this issue via phone and email. They refuse to correct it and have shown poor customer service. We told him it's the last day of the year, and we will like to see if there has any special deals for a Honda Fit, if not we can just come back next year. (I will give this experience one start is only because Mike was being so nice and professional with us) But we found out they don't have any deals going on, so we decided to pass and asked for his business card. But when he came back, he brought another guy with him( I guess that was his manager). The manager was very rude and bossy! And saying that this is price or no deal, and that's what you can get! I was like, yes! We're here to see how's the price looks like at the end of the year, if that's nothing change of buying it today or next year, than I will just wait until next year. As many of you women know, it's very easy to feel intimidated or just taken advantage of in terms of auto repairs and the industry itself but with reps like Rich it's a complete breeze! He treated me like I was a family member and spoke to me with such respect and it was the most refreshing encounter I've had at a dealership. I had issues with the metal protector under my car ( I somehow bent the everliving heck out of it) and rich was able to break down my options and give me realistic prices for said repair. I bought a used 2019 civic type r two weeks ago. I asked if the car had been modified in any way and the salesman said "no". I was washing the car and noticed that the exhaust system had been tampered with dramatically. The mufflers and resonator were completely cut out and straight piped to the exhaust tips leaving the middle one just a free floating pipe. This violates california exhaust laws and the car should never have been sold or registered not being street legal. I spoke with the sales manager Roy who acknowledged the state law when I read the law to him but he claimed "the exhaust was not modified in a way that is not california compliant." This is absurd because the law clearly states that every car must be equipped with functional mufflers. But the car was sold to me with no mufflers on it. This dealership is refusing to acknowledge or fix their mistake of selling me an illegal vehicle. Instead treating me with very rude attitudes. read more

Not Satisfied. Pittsburg Honda was not available to replace my tires, so I made an appointment with Concord Honda. BIG MISTAKE!! I arrived for my 10 am appointment and was met by someone with a tablet who checked my tires and declared that we needed new ones. I told him we were there for that purpose and he walked away. Finally, a tech showed up. He didn't have our appointment nor knew why we were there. Found us, confirmed our tires were there, and said it would take about 3 or so hours. We waited in the area since we live about 25 miles away. I called 2 hours later, and he reported they just started looking at my car. At about 12 noon tech called to report we needed all 5 stems replaced, and we said ok. At 2:30 pm I sent a text asking for the status. He said 30 to 45 minutes more plus 30 minutes for alignment. We also got a text of "critical items" that needed to be addressed. At that point, we were not confident the car would be ready anytime soon. We told him we'd pick up the car tomorrow morning. At 6:45 pm we received a text saying the car was ready. The following morning we were told they were busy which is why they were delayed in completing the task. When we got the car, each tire had grease on them including the rims. It looked like someone wiped them once and said 'good enough'. Summary: - No pride or professionalism in their work product. - Customer service wholly lacking...you should know this was an all-day job (which I doubt it is) and advised us to go home rather than waste our time waiting. We take our Avalon to Toyota where they meet you as soon as you show up, give you an accurate time it will take, and return the car without up-selling you on "critical items" they find. By the way, I contacted Laura, my favorite technician at Pittsburg Honda, and asked her to review the "critical items" list Concord Honda said I need to address right away. She told me most of the "critical items" had already been done the last time we serviced it. Bottom line: It's not worth the free tire rotation Concord Honda provides with new tires. Me and my mother have been to 3 dealerships prior to going to this dealership and they make the standard for how dealerships should be. my sales woman/man was Annia Marie and Leo. They were both very nice and approachable, they get to know you and in turn we got to know them on a little bit of a personal level which sometimes when you go to a dealership there is a salesman air as soon as you walk in. I would not use those words for these too. They cared through the whole process and felt little to no pressure to buy something I was not satisfied with. I have leased my last four or five cars through Concord Honda, and before then, I purchased all my Hondas through them. My lease came up and I was considering purchasing a different vehicle, so I test drove a few cars and one I had been considering was the Acura MDX. Allow me to proffer a comparison between dealerships. I went to Concord Acura to test drive it last Sunday. We were at Concord Acura for several minutes with not one person acknowledging us. Similar to when you enter a busy restaurant, you expect someone to make eye contact and say, "hey, we're busy but someone will be with you when they can." But to blatantly ignore potential customers?? Several employees walked by without saying a word so we left and went across the street to Concord Honda. They were just as busy, but every person we walked by either acknowledged us with a smile or said someone will be with you soon. Other folks walked by and asked if we had been helped. A simple gesture means everything. When the salespeople and managers came around to us, they treated us like family, letting us know where the complimentary hot cocoa and coffee machine was and were never pushy. Our salespeople, Praab and Leo, bent over backwards to make sure I was happy, even going off lot a couple of times to get the cars I wanted to drive. We were the last people to leave, and even though you could see how exhausted everyone was at 9pm, they were warm and welcoming throughout. This review is for Lefie Stridiron and her son Glen. My family and I had an appointment with Lefie to discuss our car buying options. We wanted to see if we could potentially find a car that would work for us financially. We had no intentions of walking out of that dealership with a new car. Not at all on this day! We met with Lefie and we talked about the particulars of our situation and what we needed in terms of a car. She then introduces us to the Honda clarity plugin hybrid. She tells us about all the great savings this model can save us in terms of gas, the rebates, tax credits, and all the other goodies it has to offer. Like having a carpool sticker! I test drove the car with Glen and it was a fun drive. What surprised me most out of this base model was the safety features that came standard with it. We return to the dealership and begin to talk more numbers. We're at the dealership for almost 5 hours at this point and we have our 2 year old son clinging onto his sanity because he took a short nap and lunch time was approaching for him. Lefie worked the numbers out for us and was able to meet our needs after some long hard thinking on my part. We shook on a deal and got the car of the future in our hands. But do you want to know what the best part of the deal was? Not the savings on the car itself but the free Jollybee I got treated to by Lefie. Two piece chicken joy with gravy and rice! But to go back to the main point of this day. When I got on the freeway to go to work I heard a consistent thumping sound from underneath the front of the car. It kept getting worse, so I pulled off at the next exit. The entire front of the engine splash shield was hanging down and dragging on the road and catching as well. It was missing 3 screws. Not safe to drive. Car was fine the last time I drove it. Was able to ask a nearby guy in a work truck for zip ties, and temporarily got it in place enough to get to Concord Honda, where I have been a loyal customer of 7-yrs. Was told by the service rep that I had to pay the full labor and part for the repair, even though it was clear that the screws were not installed properly as they should not pop off after only driving 3600 miles since the last oil change. This is my commuter car, I drive it on the freeway mostly. There's no off-roading or even dirt roads in this. I even take speed bumps carefully specifically so I don't whack the heck out of the underside of the vehicle. Was told that it would be at no cost if I waited for my next oil change, which would be months away since I can go 8500-1100 miles between changes. I decided to give a different Honda dealership a try, and the service rep there was great. Initially he said that I would have to pay full since they hadn't originally serviced the vehicle, but if they had...well, yeah, they would have made it right since it was their opinion that losing three screws that are installed with a power tool was highly unlikely after only 3600-miles, unless they were improperly installed. That was from both the service rep AND one of their techs, who came over to see if he could actually get under the car without putting it on the lift to save me the labor charge. When that wasn't possible, my service rep went and spoke to his manager and returned to tell me that they would take care of it! Yep, that is customer service! They agreed to make right on another business's mistake. I did agree to pay for the parts, that was a few bucks relative to what the labor would be. Even better, they got it done in 30-minutes. Concord Honda lost a regular customer, and I'm going to give the new dealership my business. Good timing, because I had just started to do my early stages of shopping for a new vehicle. Take aways Concord Honda? The other dealer's service rep made the effort to find a solution. He first checked to see if he could resolve the problem within his means, (getting the tech to try making the fix without putting it on the lift), when he couldn't he went to his supervisor to see if management could sign-off on the fix. There ya go, that is the key. Train your employees to think outside of the box and go that extra step of above and beyond to create excellent customer service. read more

Service is fine but I was a little upset when I'd made appointment for a free battery test. I got there with my 10 month old son sleeping in the back. Only waited 5-10 but was told the machine was broken. They had two machines actually and both were broken. They offered the paid in depth battery test...that machine was running but no thanks. They also said I could get my battery tested almost anywhere. You'd think a dealership would have their stuff together. I get it, the machine is broken but it sucks I had to drive all the way out to find out. They should have offered to test my battery for free on the paid machine. read more

Hello there, just bought a car from them but I'll never go back to this place or suggest them to anyone. I was in the market to buy a 2017 Honda Civic hatchback in Sonic gray pearl. I was told by CHRISTINA Sanchez they had one in stock and to come down. When I arrived it was the wrong color and she stated she would order the correct on for me. Mind you this was the week before 4th July so they had a .09% deal. My wife asked if we could get the .09% put toward the car that was on order. We were told yes. Two weeks later when we arrive to pick up the car. We were told .09% doesn't apply to this vehicle. CHRISTINA said America of Honda financing changes and we can't give u the .09% because you didn't purchase the vehicle that was the wrong color 2 weeks ago. She should of told us this before hand. Instead of admitting her fault she argued with my wife for 15 min and denied she said that. There was no apology and CHRISTINA just carried on like nothing happened. This is my first time dealing with Concord Honda. They have tarnished Honda as a company. I really didn't want to believe some of the reviews here on yelp. But I guess they're true. Summary: I came away satisfied because they happen to have the exact model and year and mileage I wanted in a used car, at a fair price. But if another dealership has the same car you want, I recommend you go there instead. Too many problems with the sales process and basically zero follow-up support. I let the salesperson know I was coming and they had the car ready to test-drive, then they washed it afterward. Made me fill out a credit application even though I was paying with a check -- waste of my time. Then they showed me that I was paying $150 for a theft warranty that is clearly marked "optional" on the official Honda paperwork. As other reviews indicate, this is something they force on buyers to pad their profits. I wonder what American Honda thinks of this practice, if they even know. This business loses one star just for creating this bad karma for their own staff, which has to deal with the inevitable angry confrontations about it. The back-office financial person springs this on you at the last minute at signing...no mention prior by sales staff. I decide it's not worth arguing about. Then I see no mention of my car's warranty in the paperwork. It's all generic language about how a Certified Pre-Owned gets all this extra coverage, but nothing specific to my vehicle, and they can't even tell me the dates of my coverage. Am I the only one who asks for this when writing a big check? The financial person shows me how she's entering all my car's info onto her Honda network screen but there is still nothing there about the warranty. The general manager comes over and is baffled that I don't just take their word for it that my vehicle will soon be in Honda's database and it's all online and don't worry! At this point the delays have ended my timeframe and I have to go meet my son nearby. I return a couple hours later and they wisely introduce me to their Used Car Manager who explains the situation a bit more clearly. And he chuckles, "You're right, you do leave here without anything in writing about the warranty..." So I guess I am not crazy to ask for it but holy cow, why would they not be prepared for this question? Maybe other buyers are more trusting than me. I go with the flow and just ask for them to email me the confirmation of my warranty dates when they enter me into the Honda system the next day. I do get a screenshot that confirms my car is "in the system" but still no warranty mention whatsoever. I call my salesperson to explain what I need (again) and also ask for the unique security lug nut key that is required to remove my wheels in case of a flat tire. The salesperson says "You're going to need that. We'll just mail it to your address." Two months later, I've received no follow-up at all from Concord. I eventually got my warranty info by communicating directly with American Honda myself, and got my lug nut key by purchasing one directly from the McGard company. read more

Karim Tabellout made sure that regardless of my not-so-good credit score situation, I still left the lot with a brand new new 2020 Honda Civic because he did everything in his power to make sure I was able to get EXACTLY what I wanted regardless of my circumstances. I was certain I wasn't going to be approved for ANYTHING until Karim told me to come in and just talk about my options, cause it never hurts to just know. Next thing you know, I'm signing a contract with KARIM TABELLOUT because the deal was that sweet! I was emotional, I was in shock, I thought for sure I was going to hear a "no" "not qualified" "not good enough" at every turn after walking through those doors, but Karim proved me wrong each time. I have never been treated so poorly at a dealership before. In fact, I've had few customer service experience that rivaled this one overall- auto related or not.husband and I came to this dealership after weeks of research looking to drive the new Si, which we knew they had in stock. The salesman who approached us took us to the on that they had and let us sit in it but point blank refused to let us test drive it without setting a price and signing paperwork first. I have never had a test drive refused before and have certainly never had a salesman argue with us repeating over and over that we have to go inside to negotiate price before we could drive it. Why would we waste our time (and theirs) sitting down to discuss financial without even driving the car first? We calmly explained that there was no point in doing financial negotiations until we actually drove the car and agreed that we liked it. He continued to bulldoze through the conversation so we opted to leave. We recognize that some dealerships don't like having the Si test driven but we are serious buyers ready to buy today so to be treated like this was just astounding. This is a civic, not a Type R. How can you expect to sell them if a driver has never driven one? Terrible service. He walked us to the door as though we were being escorted out for trying to steal something. The actuator was faulty and needs to be replaced, a known issue with Honda. A quote for over thirteen hundred to fix. Part of the quote was to replace the front and back breaks that I replaced 5 months ago. When I asked why these were on the list to repair, they just said well they were squeaking but you don't need to change them, so upselling and providing inaccurate recommendations. Apparently, no one in the service team is on site to answer the calls. When someone actually picks up, they state the shuttle driver will call when they are on the way. They called when they arrived and got my voice mail when I called back within a few minutes, they left. When they answered the phone after the 4th time I called, they were going to lunch and only ones driver was scheduled so I have to wait. I called the Service line then my advisor to only get rings. After 8 years taking my car here, this is the last time I'll be taking my car here. This is the worst experience I've had in my 8 years. read more

I was told I could set up a time where they would hold the vehicle for me to do so, but when I pulled up to the dealership to take the vehicle to be inspected, I was told that they were already in the process of selling the car to another person. Really shady if they are trying to rush and sell a used vehicle before a 3rd party is able to inspect it. Afterwards, they tried to convince me to look at a vehicle that they already knew was about 4-5k over the hard price limit I gave them, trying to talk to me even when I was walking out of the dealership. read more
