I had lower expectations for condados since it is a chain, but they showed up and delivered! They have really refreshing mocktail options like the "No-ito" their play on a N/A mojito. The cheese dips and guac were really good! I wasn't a fan of their chips. They weren't as greasy and salty as what I am used to at a Mexican restaurant; however they got the job done and really chips are just vessels for the delicious dips! I LOVE that they do build your own bowls and tacos! They have vegetarian tacos also! The street corn was better than most I've had bc it was extra lime-y! Was really excited to give this place a shot as we love Mexican food and margaritas, but unfortunately this was a letdown for us. Things started out fine, as we were welcomed and greeted with a smile and led to our table without a wait, even though it was pretty packed. Inside was freezing to us, plus the tables were very close to each other, so we opted to move to an outdoor table and were accommodated with no issue which was great. Our sever was nice and did a great job explaining the restaurant concept to us, and we decided to go with frozen margaritas and custom nachos. This is where we experienced our letdown as the drinks were very small for the price point, as we were expecting Mexican restaurant style margaritas given the price points, but received the smallest margaritas we both had ever experienced. Additionally the nachos were also underwhelming with not much coverage and toppings given the price point. Needless to say, what we experienced did not meet our expectations, based on our vast experience at Mexican restaurants across the Carolinas, as this appears to be geared towards more of a premium concept given the price points and portion sizes. Overall, not bad by any means, but given all the options for Mexican in the area, not somewhere we expect to frequent on an ongoing basis. read more

We went back tonight for a second round. Titus was our server and he was **AWESOME**. Great personality and provided excellent service. Food was great. I had nachos and my hubby had three tacos. Another five star experience. Of note, most restaurants are failing in the customer service category. The manager at Condados is very present and I think this makes all the difference. Stop by one day for lunch to try the Nacho's. They were great, the wait staff and Manager were there and welcomed me to the restaurant. It was my first time there and they made me feel very welcomed. Mediocre is the best way to describe the food here. Nothing to write home about and definitely not likely to be back. The chicken taco was good, and I enjoyed the vegan chorizo taco as well but overall pretty basic. Avoid the avocado ranch. It was terrible. Salsa and guacamole were lacking flavor and a $1 for a tiny tiny side of jalapeños is ridiculous. Great service, great food. Really neat takes on tacos with great combinations and build-your-own menu (to navigate specific food preferences). Went for lunch (Bud Lunchbox was great -- 2 tacos and a side with chips) and again for dinner with family. We have collectively tried a number of taco options, and have liked them all. My personal favorite so far is the Bad Habit (includes steak and rice and mango-habanero sauce) in a flour tortilla/crispy shell so excellent combinations of textures and flavors. The Mexican corn side was a huge hit with our entire family. Wife loves the tomatillo sauce. Something for everyone. read more

Horrible service. Hostess was clueless. She sat a family of 5 at a table for 4 and then walked away for them to figure out where to get another chair themselves. Well, I gave them a second chance! As I said, in my first review, the service is good. I have no complaints there. My tacos were ice cold, they did try to make it better and the second go round was a little better, but grill the tortilla! It gives it better texture and brings out the flavors. Don't just pull them out of a bag throw some meat and cold onions on top of it. Details...This time I decided to forgo all the fancy over the top taco condimentation (my own word) and "create your own" basic semi-street style tacos, tortilla, meat, cilantro, and onion. I want to reiterate that the flavors are good. They're just not doing it right. The flour tortilla was like it was just pulled out of a bag, it was room temperature at best. The flavors of the meats were great, and the meat was warm...until it came time to eat it. You put flavorful warm meat on a cold tortilla, top it with ice cold onions and ice cold salsa and by the time you get around to eating it you have an ice cold taco. Never make a taco with a boring, bland tortilla! If you're not gonna make your tortillas in house, at least grill them on the flat top before you plate the food! Get your onions and salsa at least close to room temperature! I know health dept requirements require you to refrigerate a lot of items, but the onions and the salsa were barely above the freezing point they were so cold. I think this restaurant could be phenomenal if they just did a few things differently. Attention to detail is extremely important. I really want to like this place! It's cool inside, the employees seem awesome. There's just some work to be done there before it's really up to what I consider a top-notch taco establishment. You make your own judgments. I do suggest you try it, because it is unique. read more

What else do you guys want. My waitress, Calista ( sorry if I butchered your name) was very helpful and upbeat and helped me with what I should get. The gentleman who seated me was also very nice and talked me through the menu so props to him. Now the food, that's another story. It was even better then I expected. Maybe I'm over critical but when you order tacos they should be warm/hot not fresh out of the freezer. Order 4 tacos and all were ice cold including the meat.
