I had the pleasure of trying codado tacos for the first time today and can't say enough great things about the food and even a very helpful member of their awesome kitchen staff Nick. I'm honestly so sad this restaurant doesn't have a higher average! I've lived in Indy my entire life and Condado on Mass Ave has been my go-to dinner date spot ever since it opened. It has a nice atmosphere I feel like for young college kids like me. I love the 'bubbles and blush' margarita cocktail thingy :) I always get it. I also always order the dirty queso and I promise u that if you do order it, you need to get a full size because it's so good you won't be able to stop eating it. My boyfriend and I both wake up in the middle of the night thinking about it. My favorite taco is the Lucy's fire. It's not very spicy and has a lot of fun flavors. There are also a lot of vegetarian options too that are really good. But yeah I love Condado and you all will too. read more

We went to Condado Tacos for a friends birthday party around 9pm on a Friday evening. The atmosphere was great and our server was amazing! The food was good, my house margarita with blackberry flavoring was delicious, but the chips were my favorite item that I ate the entire evening. I went here during opening week where they were offering a free taco. So in their defense they had just opened, it was almost 11pm, and it was crazy busy. With that said the waitstaff did not come to our table once we were sat for at least 15 minutes. It took another 20 minutes to get our food. I never recieved the soda I ordered. The taco's were pretty good though if not a little overpriced. I heard that after this first week they did close to re-train employees and a lot of people I know have visited it and enjoy it a lot. Two of the suggested tacos were plenty to fill me up and were some of the best I've ever had with unique combinations of fresh ingredients. Their dining experience is unique in its mix of cafeteria and traditional sit down dining as servers offer two templates of choices to guests: one with of suggested tacos/combinations or another will a full assortment of unlimited taco fillings, toppings and options. Okay tacos and service, but cute vibes. My friends and I decided to try out Condado after a big exam during their happy hour. When you walk in, you immediately notice the fun designs on the walls, high ceilings, and good environment. It was not very busy, and we were seated almost immediately. To start, we ordered the Three Buds (aka chips and your choice of 3 dips). I really liked the Mexican street corn dip and the traditional guac! We got the house margaritas (1/2 off on Mondays), and they were pretty good. For the price they did the job. I ordered the Ooey-Gooey chicken tacos, and honestly, I was a little disappointed. They were okay, but nothing special. I know that Condado is not a super high end restaurant, but I felt like I was paying a higher price for a Taco Bell quality taco. The service was also just okay. Our server was not the friendliest or most attentive, and we had to flag him down to get a second drink. LOVE coming here on Tuesdays to get my Taco Tuesday fix. My server was very knowledgeable about whether choosing to get nachos or tacos. He suggested the nachos because of price and how full I would be. He was right. The nachos made me very full and satisfied. He also recommended me to try the frozen margarita. It was nice that it was also happy hour and the drinks were only $5. I appreciate the staff adhering to social distancing and wearing masks and gloves throughout the restaurant. I've been here twice and both visits were great! Fun atmosphere and very colorful and interesting wall art. Make sure to check out the ladies room too, and if you're a guy you should probably post a picture of your walls so I can know. Lol. I love the build your own taco options. The Sweet Lucy shell is fire! The margaritas are also pretty delicious. The Pineapple Express is amazing and if you come Monday-Friday you can get a $5 house margarita and add a flavor for $1. I expected the garnish interior and was hoping the food would outweigh the overall appearance but I was disappointed. It was crowded last night and the noise level, amplified by the 2 story open ceiling, was brutal. They have a serious ventilation issue from the kitchen as seen by the smoke in the rafters and the horrible smell in my hair I noticed when I got home and changed clothes. I expect fajita hair when I order fajitas but not when i order tacos.... As others have commented, our tacos also took forever to come out. Yes, they were crowded, but this is assembly line product here. It should not take 30 mins for tacos. Our server explained the ordering process and it seemed complicated until I took pencil to paper and figured it out. One person in our party gave up and had her husband order for her. Food was disappointing after that long wait. They didn't get two of my tacos right but gladly brought me what I was lacking. The onion/cilantro topping combo was missing cilantro and the onions were old and pungent. The roasted chicken protein was very good and the Mexican chimichurri had a bright flavor and a great addition to the taco. My friend ordered a firecracker taco and had to dispose of the overly seasoned taco shell because it obliterated the flavor of everything inside. Chorizo queso was good and the chips were thick and crunchy. Avoid the bacon refried beans and rice sides. The beans were over seasoned so badly I actually spit them back onto my fork. The rice was sticky and gloppy and had virtually no flavor. Such easy things to get right but they were oh so wrong. A couple of us had margaritas which were on special for happy hour for $5 a piece and $1 extra for "flavoring." I incorrectly assumed that flavoring meant a juice of some sort but I'm about 90% sure all it is a flavored sugar syrup similar to what coffee shops use because the margarita was way too sweet. Tequila and whiskey selection is impressive and they have a nice variety of Mexican beers. I would not seek Condado out again, but if I were in the neighborhood I would go in and give it another try, hoping they improved the ventilation so I don't go home reeking of tacos and they figured out the kitchen issues to get food out more promptly. Condado Tacos is one of my favorite taco spots in Indianapolis. Usually, I eat at the Broad Ripple location, which is okay. Recently, I've been going to this specific location where I just happened to be served by the same waitress, Maria. She was phenomenal as well as the food as usual. She was so kind and polite. She made sure we had refilled drinks, checked in frequently whether it was to check with how we were doing or our food, and decided on a couple of food options. I ended up getting the Sweet Lucy and High Rise tacos and a margarita. The service was quick, no longer than ten minutes spent waiting for our food-the perfect spot for a lunch date. read more

It's a nice space in a good location. Menu is pretty standard for the style of food. We tried the chorizo queso dip and it was ok. There was not a ton of flavor to it. I tried three different tacos (chicken, chorizo and brisket). They were acceptable. Portions were very small and definitely not worth $7.50 a taco. Restaurant is average but there are much better local places that have better prices and larger portions. I'd suggest supporting those local places instead. read more

When Condado was announced for Mass Ave I was unsure that it would be able to bring anything to the table of a downtown that is already saturated with upscale taco locations. Man, was I wrong. Condado is fulfilling a niche that I didn't know we had in downtown Indy. The main selling point of Condados is quality tacos at an affordable price. The two times I've made it out to Condados so far I've been able to get in and out satisfied for around $10. That is significantly cheaper than any of the other upscale taco spots in the area. Condados really caters to young adults who need a fun spot to meet up on a budget in downtown Indy. It is quickly becoming the meet-up spot for many of my friends. The restaurant decoration is great with its wacky art style that incorporates Indiana references if you look close enough. Parking is on Mass Ave and can be a little difficult at peak hours. In terms of food, Condados is a good middle ground. The tacos are tasty with unique ingredient combinations. The queso and guac all have fun and interesting flavors that I have really enjoyed. The ingredients are not top quality and these are not the absolute best tacos in town but they are very good and most importantly affordable. Margaritas are a little on the sweet side but still very enjoyable! Check out Condados with a large group of friends for a good time on Mass Ave. read more

I was sooo excited to get back into an actual restaurant. I wanted to see the new Mass Ave vibe currently going on so we made reservations for Condado! Our reservation was at 8:15 but they were busy and the host politely asked me and my party of 4 to wait (no problem). The issue arises when the manager (Tessa) tells us there is only 1 table that can seat us and it is around this pole (where we can't have a decent conversation). We inform her that 2 tables just opened up outside and is there a reason we couldn't have those. She states they were reserved for someone that has the same reservation time as us (but is not currently there). When we make this point she asks us to "wait outside until they clean the table off. Please and thank you" then walks away. We finally sit at our table and are not given menus or anything. ALL IS NOT LOST....thankfully Alexis was our server and made sure that we were taken care of. It sucks that someone in leadership caused us more issues than her staff but maybe she was having a bad day. Nonetheless, the food was good and the margaritas were amazing! read more

One of the employees starts telling us what isn't going to happen and we agree on two adjacent tables. I love this place. Although the food is amazing the staff is outstanding. Dillion behind the bar just makes you feel at home. He is quick with a great story and conversation. Im picky about margaritas and he nailed it for a custom version. The place inside is simply cool. Graffiti walls everywhere it's an artist dream spot for decor. This city is not lacking in taco places but this place rises to the top. I highly recommend the dirty queso. They have a list of suggested tacos but offer a build your own. I've had the worst customer service experience today at the Condado restaurant on Mass ave. I have a sick child in the house and decided to order some food to go. I had the order picked up and upon checking the order I noticed I was missing 4 items. I immediately called the store to inform them of the missed items and was directed to talk to someone and this person was extremely agitated. I repeated several times the items that were missing from the bag and he questioned whether or not it was actually missing. He finally indicated that I would receive a refund for the missed items. When I asked how I would receive confirmation of the refund, email or text, he said it's up to my bank which makes absolutely no sense to me and didn't answer the question . I then proceeded to ask for his name in case I have problems with the refund and he said legally he didn't have to give me his name. i'm not sure what the law had to do with him give me his name but it certainly sounded like this was a canned response and perhaps was something he was asked for in the past due to poor customer service. I then asked for the manager and he claimed he was the manager???? I've never heard of a store manager unwilling to give his name and if this is how a manager treats customers they need to go back to training . At the end of the day it wasn't about them messing up my order because everyone makes mistakes. It's about owning up to it and treating people with respect....It doesn't cost anything for people to treat others with respect. I will contact their corporate office to share my experience and to make sure I receive a refund for those items missed from the order. read more

We got take out for a late dinner. We both got two tacos: el traditional, bad habit, and then I made my own. My tacos were made with the Sweet Lucy and a kewl ranch shell upgrade and a Peezler with a firecracker shell upgrade. The firecracker shell was hotter than I remember, but still delicious! I just needed a few extra sips of water. Overall, not that hot if you like spicy. We also made our own nachos with the chorizo. The nachos were good, but the chips had a sweet cinnamon taste to them that I wasn't expecting. My boyfriend didn't notice it though. If I covered it in cheese, I couldn't taste it. I've been to the Broad Ripple Condados a few times, this was my first time at Mass Ave. We weren't interested in eating at the restaurant due to the pandemic, but we were comfortable getting food to go. It looked very busy for a Friday night. We originally tried to place our order online and were experiencing issues, so we called and placed our order over the phone without problems. It was loud on the servers end and we had to repeat ourselves a few times, but everything ended up correct! Had a server tonight that told me n my wife after we got there that he has been drinking on the clock with red bull because you cant smell the alcohol, and that he's been taking Adderall on top of that, but that's beside the point after numerous of times of reaching over my food and drink at the end of my service he ask why he didn't get a tip, (side note l invited guest there which it was ones bday, which he was rude to her and ask her to hurry up with her order) and was argumentative about not having a tip, a manager told me he would handle him but did it really happen I would love to know.
