Huge fan of Condado. Their BYO tacos have a ton of variety and very reasonably priced (under $5 if you play your cards right). I usually start with a three buds chips and dip sampler. My favorites are the queso elote and corn salsa, because I'm a Hoosier at heart. Once I fill up on chips and dip, I only need one taco. Service is always fast and friendly. The atmosphere is just a lot of fun, though it can get loud when it's packed for dinner. I brought two friends who have never been, and they loved it too! Highly recommend. read more

Condado is a tough one to review for me. First I think the Mass Ave location is much better overall for experience than the Broad Ripple location. The tacos, queso and guacamole are great. Good drinks too, but service is up and down. Sometimes really fast like you would expect for tacos and sometimes you wait an incredible period just to pay. It seems like maybe there are some staffing issues. With so many places to get tacos, I hope they figure this out. read more

We had such a fun night at Condado Tacos! It's a very large place and they had tons of seating. The decor is very artsy and fun. I loved the garage doors were open so we had a great breeze and it was to fun to see outside. We found parking on the street easily, but I can see it being harder. We went early on a weekday. I loved the dips! So many fun kinds. The Tuscan guacamole was my absolute favorite! We got the dip trio with the green salsa and the elote queso too! The menu at first seemed overwhelming, but the waitress helped us figure it out. I got two make your own tacos and it was fun to add all the different choices. You just mark the paper menu and the they take it! I do wish I had gotten it back to remember what I got! You do have to watch to not add to many extra items or your tack will start to become pricey. Most of the add-ons were free. I also got a taco that was already made, the surf and turf! First things first, the tacos were great! So many different options. I highly suggest the Lucy's Fire. It is tangy, sweet, smoky, and fresh! The ordering system can be a little confusing if it's your first time but the server should walk you through it! Also, as someone who can easily eat three tacos at Bakersfield, I ordered three here as well. Big mistake, one or two tacos with an appetizer and drinks would have been MORE than enough. The margaritas were good and I'd definitely order them again but in a way they tasted like your typical run of the mill margarita. *UPDATED REVIEW* So, several months ago I wrote a hungry, grumpy review of Condado Tacos after visiting on a lunch break in which this Sorry mess of a "restaurant" was unable to produce four lousy tacos in 45 minutes. I do have a terrible memory when I'm hungry, though, so when a friend asked if I'd like to try out Condado for dinner tonight, I said, "Sure. Sounds great." Oh, how I long for the hungry, grumpy days before I actually experienced what a Condado taco... what a Condado ANYTHING tastes like. My memory won't fail me again. You couldn't drag me back to this place again kicking and screaming. We ordered the guac. I think there was something resembling an avocado in it a week ago when they whipped up the industrial-sized batch, but by the time the overpriced and tiny bowl reached our table it was a slimy green soup slowly deteriorating into brown around the edges. And the tacos. The tacos... so if you're craving mediocre tacos stored in a fridge for a week, HAVE I GOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. This is baffling, really... it again took them 45 minutes to get four tacos to us and when they arrived they were stone cold. When I inquired of our server about the temp, he admitted that all their food is made in a commissary kitchen in Ohio, vacuum-sealed, and shipped to them for assembly. So, I'm doing the math here... they don't even COOK *OR* WARM their own d**n food and they *still* can't manage to get an order out in under 45 minutes?! I'd give them a pass if it at least tasted good, but I'm pretty sure the "rice" in my taco was plastic shavings, I'm pretty sure the "steak" was styrofoam packing peanuts, and I decided to pass on the remainder of my surf n turf when I realized they hadn't deveined any of the shrimp (*barf*). But maybe the drinks could be a bright spot? Surely THOSE aren't also shipped from Ohio, right? I'm thinking they must be because the tequila seemed to have evaporated right out of my frozen margarita, leaving just a frothy, slightly limey foam and one seriously dissatisfied lady. On the upside, my friend's beer seemed to weather the travel just fine. The moral: fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, GOOD GOD PEOPLE. Oh em gee so good!!!!!! We were quoted 10-15 minute wait. Was a bit longer but no worries. The hostess seating us saw that i was pregnant and was so courteous to ask if i requested the normal seating vs barstool. Service - so quick, so nice, so friendly ! Food - so good! And reasonable. We started with the dip trio. Traditional guacamole, habanero queso, + corn / bean salsa. Very tasty! Tacos - Hubs had - el tradicional and Lucy's fire taco i had - surf and turf and Lucy's fire taco Didn't love the surf one but that was my fault because i don't love rice in my tacos. I went to Condado to try out some tacos on Tuesday. I really loved the location and the decor. It's a really hip place to grab a bite to eat. I would definitely recommend it for a cool hang. I tried 2 different tacos the Tradicional and the Spicy Lucy. I tried the tradicional with soft corn tortillas. I have to say the Spicy Lucy was awesome and I can't wait to go grab another one. I actually wasn't very enthused by the other taco or the soft corn tortillas. I also tried a house margarita. It wasn't bad, but not my favorite house marg. Other than the things I tried that I didn't love I did get great service and will be returning. I do like that you can write down what you want and order a customized taco. Try the sweet lucy shell and the chicken was also great. Maybe take a pass on the chorizo. It's not a traditional chorizo and it wasn't my particular cup of tea. read more

Really cool new place on Mass Ave and the food is great! I love the set up. You can personalize your tacos by filling out the menu card. I would recommend the sweet Lucy. The taco is very sturdy and food doesn't fall you when you bite in like most tacos. One complaint was that my steak was cold and that I had to pay $1 extra. Everything else was great though! Very affordable as well if you do not over do it on the add ins. Overall I would recommend this place! read more

We stopped in here for an early dinner on a Saturday at 4:00. I knew this place just opened and wanted to try and beat the weekend dinner rush. We were seated right away but sat there for at least 25 minutes waiting on a server. Someone finally came over and asked if we had been helped. We said no and he apologized and said 2 people called in. This was the only issue we encountered. The food was great but I wish the drink sizes were bigger. They were small like a kid's cup. (see pictures posted of what we ordered). My suggestion is to try the Lucy's Fire taco. I LOVE the hard and soft shell combination! We were never checked back on to see if we would like another margarita... and we waited 30 minutes for the bill to simply leave and go somewhere else..we were granted a gift card for our troubles. 2nd time here we came in and decided to give it another shot... we were seated and again not greeted for about 10 minutes, so we decided to go elsewhere given the situation we had previously. 3rd time here... we came in to try to get rid of our gift card and we sat at the bar.. we were immediately greeted by Zeus and started out with cocktails. Disclaimer: this is a Tex-Mex place. This is not Mexican food so please don't get confused. Ok. Onto the review. Pros: super nice staff. Our server was very knowledgeable. The atmosphere is great. The artwork is amazing. This is a great place to have drinks with friends. The wait time on food and drinks is good, it's very speedy. Guacamole dip was delicious! 5 stars if you just want alcohol and snacks. Cons: my tacos were cold cold cold!! Flour tortillas are supposed to be heated to the point of steaming. Not lukewarm warm, and definitely not cold. They should be heated until they take on a few speckles of gold, we call this "doradito" depending on how golden it becomes. All of my flour tortillas were cold. The meat inside my taco became cold upon contact before it even reached the table. Over all I was a little disappointed. The flavor combinations are... unique. I would say it's very subjective and hit or miss for most people. I have eaten at quite a few southwestern and Tex-Mex places. Their menu is definitely different from any typical Tex-mex place. It's creative, I'll give them that. The habanero-mango salsa was so sweet it almost reminded me of ketchup in combination with the pulled jackfruit. I was not feeling it. Everything on the menu was exceptionally mild (bland) or just way too sweet. The only heat came from the surf n turf taco in the form of a mild dry spice with a bitter and odd tasting ceviche. Maybe it would have been different if I built my own taco. (Although the build your own taco menu was very complicated and a little overwhelming as a first time visitor) A salsa table with taco condiments would be great. I would have loved being able to squeeze limón on my taco, add cilantro, pickled jalapeños & carrot or extra onions. That just doesn't exist here. Even just something as small as a piping hot chile toreado to accompany my taco would have been great. I wouldn't even mind paying extra for it. Overall I was just disappointed. Before I went to Condado I had a preconceived notion that it was just another hipster taco place, not really delicious but since you can't go terrible wrong with tacos then people are always up for a taco and margarita..... I was so wrong. The ambience of this place is amazing, very open concept with garage doors that can open in the summer, they were open while I was there. The tacos were amazing, and the queso and salsa was incredible, this place definitely surpassed my expectations. I definitely would recommend this place, great atmosphere and great food. Condado was a taste revelation! I can't remember the last time I've been so impressed with a restaurant. Condado sells tacos, and they have mastered them! My wife and I ventured in on a recommendation with a gift card from a Christmas party. We were seated right away. The restaurant was clean and well staffed. The environment was good, and the atmosphere was modern and trendy, but we could still have a conversation at our table. Our waiter attended us as soon as we were seated. The menu is in a small metal trough on the table next to a roll of paper towels. The menu resembles a Scategory card. Tacos are pretty much the only offering, and you build your own; just make your choices and mark them on the card. Our waiter was super helpful, so don't let the menu card intimidate you. (If you cannot stand the thought of designing your own taco, you have the option of ordering their pre-made tacos, which are also sublime.) The choices are pretty much what you'd expect for tacos: beef, chicken, shrimp, all kinds of cheese, salsas, guacamole, and different wraps from hard and soft shells to chips. (I recommend the "Sweet Lucy"!) There are also a few exotic options. I created two tacos and ordered one of their pre-made options. The price was fair for the quality and service, the staff was attentive and took care of our needs, the restaurant was clean and well kept, the food was delicious. Visited Condado Mass Ave for brunch on a Sunday. There was no wait, and me and my girlfriend were sat immediately. Eli was our waiter - he was awesome! We had guacamole and roja salsa, both were fantastic. My girlfriends tacos came out incorrect - and had to be remade. It seems as if when they were remade, they rushed to get them remade (which we appreciated) but the rice was undercooked in the process. All in all, I have way more positive experiences here than I do bad, and will be back soon! read more

Amazing is all I can say. The Thai tofu is superb. The guc and black bean queso were both outstanding. We had ooey gooey, Dutch dragon, Lucy's fire and the El Santo. My friends and I went here last night. We put our name in for a reservation and got margaritas at the bar while we waited. The flavors were good, but very sweet. Food - For me, this is a solid 3 star restaurant mainly because the food isn't that great. Tacos either "wow" me or they don't. I got 2 hard tacos - one with chicken and one with chorizo. The chicken was okay. The chorizo was disappointing to me. It is a house-made chorizo and it was sweet like a Cincinnati chili, not spicy. I wouldn't get either meats next time. We also got the dip sampler - the pineapple salsa and dirty queso were the better of the bunch but none of the dips were excellent. The chips were good, but a little greasy. They were out of guacamole because they had such a crazy opening weekend. Service - We had great service from all staff. Our waitress was funny and attentive. Condado is a great addition to Mass Ave! It is definitely a walkable location and close to other things you could do after eating some great tacos. I love the process they have for choosing your meal: they have lists that include pre-made tacos they recommend while the other list is just ingredients that you can mark to build your own taco. They have interesting flavors and combinations along with spicy sauces to add some zing to your tacos. They also have interesting drinks, like the prickly pear margarita. We had to have them explain it to us. We ordered the Tacos, Bowl, Guacamole and Chips. It was all really good. The food was hot and filling. Two stars for good tasting fast casual food, no stars for terrible customer service and to go orders. - cold food : Every take order I've gotten has been cold or room temperature at best. - take out orders not ready : There's also almost always a wait at pick up even when you get the text saying your order is ready. - incorrect order : today's takeout had 1 of 2 tacos incorrect even though they should have been exactly the same. I called and they politely offered a credit or to make the missing taco which is what I picked. I waited twice as long as needed to go back for pickup but when I got there the order still wasn't ready - I waited at least 5 mins which tells me they were in the back making it. They didn't comp anything which I don't care about except as an acknowledgment of the inconvenience and wasted time to me due to their error. If a customer makes two trips and a phone call to get the correct order you owe a customer you want to keep more than the correct order. read more

I normally don't write reviews, but I feel the need to let you all know for feedback. I've been going here regularly since they opened, its usually my go-to but after my last visit, I feel discouraged to ever go back... at least for awhile. I went with my friend this past Sunday afternoon - it was not busy, less than half capacity full and no wait time (I've been a waitress/hostess before so I understand how difficult it can be during busy hours). When we first entered it took a long minute before we were greeted by the hostess and seated (no one was in front of us) which made us felt unwelcomed already. Once we were seated we waited for a server to come by with waters (like they usually do) and take our orders. What felt like 10+ minutes went by and still no one came by to serve us drinks or ask to take our orders. Two others arrived a few minutes after us and were seated right away and served with drinks. It surprised us that all the servers that walked past us didn't notice us with menus and no drinks on our table. One of the servers went to the front and started talking to the hostess, so we just got up and left. Hopefully, the service will improve. For now I know I will not be going back anytime soon. read more
