I will say I got the hot sauce on the side. But still. My husband got the skywalker nachos which he also said had basically no flavor. Just plain chips with a bit of bland toppings. Good variety of tacos, nice flavors...only complaint is on consistency (even with the same meat, one taco might be perfect and the other a good bit below that)...which is unfortunate, because when they hit, they hit, so just cranking out the same quality every time would be huge and easily worth another star. I love coming to Condado for a quick bite to eat. Located conveniently next to Oxmoor Mall, it is a few steps away from shopping. I've never had to wait to be seated and the eating areas are always clean. This place probably has the most variety of tacos to create/eat. They are extremely juicy (who likes dry tacos) and flavorful. The food comes out fresh and hot. I also like their margarita flights since I have a hard time committing to one flavor. read more

The wait was over an hour to get our food. Unfortunately we got our food. The beans were disturbingly water-like and the rice, well it was white rice, something you might get with Chinese food. As bad as that sounds unbelievably it's worse; we had visitors in our food or around it or accompanying it. A family of ants. Yum yum. If the taco was tasty I cannot tell you as I did not eat it. Each location is like walking into a living, breathing art gallery, and the Oxmoor Mall spot is one of my favorites yet! The walls are covered in vibrant, trippy, street-art-inspired murals that celebrate Louisville in the coolest way possible. Think Muhammad Ali, the Belle of Louisville, and local legends reimagined in a 90s rave meets comic book dream. I loved learning that local artists like Liz Richter contributed to the designs--it's so personal and so fun. Food-wise? Solid as always. The build-your-own tacos are fresh and flavorful, and the Goody-Goody shell is a game changer. Don't sleep on the margaritas either! Sunday afternoon and Wifey said "My boss told me about a new taco place, wanna go there for lunch?". Silly question. And we set sail for Condado Tacos. Located near Top Golf, to be honest I didn't even know this place existed. When we walked in I had a familiar feeling. As if we'd been to Condado tacos before. Turns out we had, indeed, been to Condado Tacos before when in Charlotte, NC about a year-and-a-half ago. Some people never forget a face. Jim never forgets a Taco place. This location is large with very high ceilings and nearly every square inch covered with colourful murals. Our server (who also sat us) took our drink orders and came back a little later to take our orders. The tacos are a la carte, and they come in a multitude of flavors and attitudes. This time I opted for the Dado Supreme and Lucy's Fire, although other options were various varieties (huh?) of pork, chicken, beef, and plant-based. Our server (whose name I don't recall) was also the bar tender, so our service depended on how busy the bar was at any particular moment. There were a couple times we had to ask another server for iced tea refills as a result. The food was most excellent. Lucy's Fire's "special shell" punches a particularly heated punch, so drink plenty of beverage. Condado's is a fun, colourful, tasty experience. I'll be back. Hey...it's tacos! read more

I really enjoy Condado. Their food and atmosphere are amazing, but service needs to be improved. They have seasonal specials often. I love all the variety in queso, guac, and salsas. You can create anything, but I prefer the suggested tacos. My favorite taco is purple haze. I get it every time. They seem to be empty a lot and service is still slow. They need to improve service and maybe more people will visit. There's a lot of potential here. read more

I went there on Monday, I expected that it shouldn't be that busy. Unfortunately, it seem that they are short on staff, which it does make sense since no one want to work or it is Monday. BUT I was not in a rush for anything at all because I totally understand how it is. They are trying their best as they can. I was there to try their tacos for the Louisville Taco week. It wasn't too bad, I really enjoyed it as it got too spicy for me. Also, I really appreciate a lot that one of the waitress knew American Sign Language, which helped me a lot! The service and quality here seems to have gone downhill tremendously. I have been visiting since the grand opening and previously considered it a favorite. Every time I go to pick up an order now, it is 10-20 minutes behind the quoted pick-up, as if they haven't even started making it until I arrive. They also act clueless and confused, which further leads me to the aforementioned conclusion. I'm actually writing this very review during my extensive wait time. There's no point of even ordering ahead, whereas they used to have the food ready and waiting on the shelf on arrival. This location has also taken a few of my favorites off the menu, namely the pineapple salsa. Sadly, thumbs down for this place. Update: Finally got my food after asking about it 3 times. As consolation, they gave me a free taco card that expires in 4 days. Another thing that seems to have changed--the chips. I was given what looks like Kroger brand multi-grain tortilla chips, vs. the crispy restaurant-style chips they usually serve. This is a fantastic new joint! Met up with a group of girls and it's a perfect spot for large and small parties. Delicious tacos, chips and dips, and all things Mexican food. We visited on a weeknight and had no wait for a table, but the crowd was impressive. People were enjoying the patio as well as indoor seating. More restaurants are moving in, plus Top Golf is in the lot. This will be a popular place to be. The artwork is fun and one thing known for Condado. It's a space vibe and you'll have fun looking for the nods to Louisville. It extends into the bathrooms. They offer a variety of tacos, with many being noted as spicy. Thankfully there's also the build your own tacos or nachos too. I tired both the grilled chicken and pork. The chicken created a very dry taco but the pork was good and brought better flavor. I also recommend the pineapple salsa, jicama and slaw, and avocado sauce. The queso elote was decent but nothing that stands out from another restaurant. One of the bigger cons of the space for me was the table set up. Tables are packed together so you're basically sitting with the people next to you. There's also minimal aisle room so our server had to back up no less than five times to let customers pass while taking our order. The chairs - uncomfortable ... I am not a fan of cheap metal chairs. Our order was correct and fast, but I wouldn't describe the service as welcoming. What's a word for not friendly but also not unfriendly? I'd come back with friends or if I'm near the area. Wife and I went in here last night for some drinks and appetizers. The waitress/bartender where we ate at the bar was very friendly. I was taking pictures. She asked what I was doing. I said I was yelping. She said well make sure to tell him I'm awesomeand she was awesome. I loved all the decorations and decor on the walls. We came here on a Friday night and even though it was busy, we got seated in less than 5 minutes. They have a cool outdoor area but we sat inside. The restaurant is pretty spacious and the decor is very unique! Service was quick and our server made sure to check on us multiple times. We started with the trio of dips which is a good option when you can't make up your mind because they have so many yummy dips to choose from! We did the queso chorizo, the queso elote and the pineapple guacamole. I loved the quesos but wasn't really impressed with the guacamole. For my taco I had the Bad Habit and it was pretty good! Condado Tacos is pretty good. While it is a chain, every Condado restaurant is unique with hand-painted murals by local artists, which I think is pretty cool! They're serving up shareables like guac and queso, tacos, bowls, tequila, and margaritas - everything you need for a delicious, casual, Mexican meal.  I've visited this location a couple of times and tried a few different things. I've enjoyed the Three Buds, which is a choice of three dips plus house-made chips to share. I've had the Traditional Guacamole, Mexican Street Corn Guacamole, Tomatillo Salsa, and Mexican Street Corn, all of which were delicious!  I also really liked the Blue Dream Taco, which is a flour soft shell plus a Kewl Ranch hard shell with queso blanco, ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado ranch sauce.  The menu also offers build your own options, so you can always get anything you want. We showed up for a group Taco Tuesday and we were seated quickly. Gerald was our server and he did a great job of keeping up with our party of 17. We had drinks, chips, every kind of dip and various versions of tacos. Let me save you some time, everything was GREAT! I love how they combine the hard and soft shell to make a delicious taco. I had been going to Cincinnati to get these tacos and now I can drive 9 mi to enjoy **insert tongue lickin emoji.** The chips are thicker and really hold your queso or whatever dip you choose. The drinks were really good. They allowed us to mix up all kinds of frozen margarita flavors with our orders. They also allowed everyone to pay separately. This spot is great for big groups. Fantastic experience, from the time we walked in the door until the time we left... The bartender was amazing, I believe her name was Emma and she was very sweet and helpful in making selections... And boy could she make a premium margarita!!! The food was well prepared and came out very quickly... Although I was full about halfway in, I muscled through because the taste was extremely well done for a chain. I had the brisket bowl with habanero sauce and the Mrs. had the roasted chicken bowl with chipotle sauce. Both were very good...mine was a little spicier which I don't mind. We will definitely be back and I'm thankful that they aren't closer to the house, I would likely eat there several times a week and probably need to walk home because of the delicious margaritas. read more

Holy murals, Batman! If you're not a fan of tacos, just go for all the paintings We went on Mother's Day for an early lunch. It worked out in our favor because it wasn't very crowded at that time. Our waitress was very friendly and took great care of us. We each ordered a frozen strawberry margarita but the machine wasn't working and the mix was not yet frozen. She asked if we were okay with on the rock and once the frozen margs were ready she would bring them to us free of charge. I had completely forgot she said that and shortly after we were done she came with our frozen margs! We each had a different build your own bowl and they were delicious. Next time I plan on trying a taco but I'm a pretty plain Jane when it comes to tacos. We also had the chips and queso and the chips were so good, nice and crunchy! Sorry, I gotta go back to the murals and paintings again. So unique and it certainly made for a fun ambiance! Just an average experience, a fine place to eat if you're in a pinch at the mall. Seats are hard and it was pretty cold in there. The artwork on the walls are fun, and I think the overall vibe is pretty good. Mexican street corn dip with chips was great. Personally I think they're doing too much with the tacos. Some very over seasoned shells, excessive amounts of cheese, and the brisket in the taco wasn't nearly seasoned enough. Not the worst tacos, but not the best. read more

The food was so disappointing and so was the margaritas. We ordered a pitcher of the house margaritas ($33) to share. It was mostly ice! And, it didn't even taste like it had tequila in it. All of us thought it tasted like margarita mix and pineapple juice. Waaaaay too sweet. They don't offer free chips & salsa so we ordered chips & queso. Group of 10 for a Tuesday lunch at 12:30 PM and we were immediately greeted and seated. Service was great with prompt drink orders, accurate and speedy food choices fulfilled, and an easy table-side payment process. I ordered the Southwest Midwest bowl with roasted chicken, rice, black beans, queso blanco, shredded romaine lettuce, Roma tomatoes, corn salsa, southwest sauce, and Cotija cheese. (One meal is donated for every bowl ordered!) The meal was delicious and serving size was very generous. It was more food than I could eat, which was surprising because I was hungry after playing at one of the nearby golf venues. Terrific value and wonderful quality. The restaurant space has a cool, funky theme. Very colorful wall murals everywhere you look. Enormous glass floor-to-ceiling garage door which opens to the outdoor patio area and will be a hit when warm weather arrives. Will mention that the chairs are uncomfortable if seated for a while as in not ergonomic for the junk in my trunk. Margarita was good(did not taste like just sour mix) and noticed they have a happy hour. Only odd feedback is when we went, there was a large party of 10 and about 20 other open tables. They wanted to seat us directly next to the large party. When we asked to move over a row, we were told that's another waitress's section, so we asked if we could move over a row in the other direction and were told oh that's different waitress' section. The alternative she offered was the opposite end of the party of 10, completely missing that fact we do not want to sit next to a large loud party when there are at least 20 other open seats and about 4 other waitstaff waiting for a table. Definite disconnect on seating, which is always part of the experience, so that was disappointing. They did put it together and eventually had us seated not directly next to the large party. Our actual waitress was fantastic, super nice, and when it was time to go, gave all the stuff we would need to wrap up our food. After the seating experience, we felt some sort of way, as if they were talking about the situation amongst themselves which no one wants to feel. They created a killer vibe but everything else has to support that from service to food to be a great spot. I've always looked over at Condado Tacos when visiting Top Golf and said to self: Self, you should stop in there someday. Well, today was that day and unfortunately, I wish I hadn't. My daughter and I were greeted by a very nice hostess and we were seated promptly. There was a large group that was already being served and we were placed a good distance from them. We got to check out the vibrant murals and menus while we waited for our server; which we were happy about because it took awhile before we saw anyone. I'll get to the food first. We ordered the smoked cheddar queso. It's Tex mex beef and pico. That's all I can say, nothing extraordinary, just a dip. We had asked for the loaded tots but our main came out before they did. We ordered the packed bowls, in which you can pick your fillings, ranging from your proteins to your sauces. They do have a wide range that's sure to meet any dietary needs. We chose the slow roasted pulled pork and the roasted chicken. I've never experienced such blandness. I was desperately looking for salt and pepper. My daughter said she was expecting more, gave a shoulder shrug and picked over it. I could have gone to Chipotle and had a more flavorable experience. Back to the loaded tots, if you want to order those, I suggest you do so as soon as you sit down. I was told after I had to cancel the order, that they take an extremely long time to come out. The manager was kind enough to let us sample those anyway. They were good, I liked the crunch of the tots. On to service. When I first walked in, it seemed to me that there were just random guests standing around the restaurant. No, those were servers. All of the employees were in regular clothes, wearing everything from crocs to crop tops. One employee couldn't be bothered to have their unbuttoned shirt covering both shoulders. The ONLY way to tell these were employees were by the crossbody bags carried for you to pay your check. I think it's fine if it's a laid back atmosphere but there needs to be some kind of restaurant identifiers on employees. There wasn't a nameplate or button with the business logo to be found. The employees weren't the friendliest. Drinks were slid across the table, food was dropped off and they only slowed long enough to do that. I didn't have a chance to get the salt and pepper! The interior itself was less than clean. There were food spills unattended to under tables, napkins in the walkway (which the manager eventually picked up after it'd been stepped over by other employees). I rarely give harsh reviews but I will not be back to this location. They've been open since April, I believe and that should be more than enough to have issues addressed. The food had little to no taste. It was just something to eat; nothing was worthy of being sought out after again.
