Not Sure: * The carpet was REALLY wet when he was done. Wetter than I've ever experienced after a carpet cleaning. He said it could take days to dry. Is that because of a deep cleaning or because his equipment doesn't vacuum very well? I really can't say. Cons: * He did not put corner protectors on my wood stair railing in 3 different spots where it was necessary. Now the edges of all 3 are roughed up and there were small paint flecks on the floor. Recommended to add on something special that would make the soiled areas look like the areas that were protected/covered by furniture for an extra cost, but I'm not really sure if that did anything. Seemed like a standard carpet cleaning instead of an upgrade to me. I was expecting extra cleaning equipment to really get into the carpet. I've only gotten professional carpet cleaning once for my parents, and it seemed to be about the same. The first time I used Kirk's services was back in 2017 as I received a post card advertisement in the mail. He cleaned some carpet, our sofa and did tile/grout for our floors. Conder also did shower steam cleaning and dryer vent cleaning in 2021. In 2022, I had him come back to do carpet, sofas and our patio set outside. Most recently this month, I called him in a panic as a past tenant decided to sit on the patio set with suntan oil and it absorbed into a few of the cushions as well as a need to get the rental unit back to its original condition by cleaning the sofa, steam cleaning the Roman shades as well as the fabric on the bed frame. I had my carpets cleaned last week and was looking for a new company to love. The price was reasonable the the carpet cleaner was super nice. The company itself was very prompt and quick to respond. Unfortunately, I didn't think the carpet cleaning was good. After the carpets dried (they were dark from how wet they were for a day or so) there were lots of superficial spots that simply weren't clean. I went around on my hands and knees with Folex and sprayed and got up lots of small stains with paper towels. If the carpets had actually been cleaned those spots would have come out easy. I don't think it was a lack of effort. Maybe just lack of the right equipment? I'm not sure but super bummed because I really loved everything else about them. read more

I was very skeptical seeing it was a Groupon for $69.00 3 rooms and a hallway. Appt was 2 weeks in advance they are very busy. They arrived 8/20/19 between 9-11 am. Done before 12:30. About 10 days before Labor Day, I was searching for a carpet cleaner who could clean a high traffic hallway area and our large sectional couch before out of town guests came to stay with us. Kirk was nice enough to squeeze us in before the holiday weekend but as the couch was drying it was clear to see the couch cushions were not cleaned top to bottom. There were just a few clean streaks through the uncleaned areas... making the dirty areas look even worse!! (PICS TO COME) I immediately called Kirk who said he'd call us after the weekend to come back to redo it. He never called and our call to him was never returned. We were just so mad about the wasted money, we gave up... and used blankets to cover the couch when our guests arrived. We have two dogs at home and carpet upstairs, which means a recipe for disaster - especially when one of those dogs suffers from excitement pee lol. I originally found Kirk from Groupon. The deals he was offering were fantastic and reasonable. I think the one we went with had him cleaning 3 rooms, but tbh, we only needed the master bedroom cleaned haha. It was pretty easy to schedule. Kirk responds very quickly via e-mail and phone, so we were able to schedule an appointment fairly quickly. When the day arrived, he got to work right away. I was expecting for the whole process to take a few hours, but he was in and out within 30-45min! Pretty crazy!! We added on cleaning the stairs and had everything looking great by the end of it. I feel bad because we're located all the way in Vista (I think Kirk may have had to drive from Chula Vista...), but Kirk was very friendly, professional, and a total trooper. Really appreciate him making the drive during rush hour and doing such a fantastic job on it! I had purchased the living social deal for this company. My carpets get cleaned professionally every 4-5 months and I do them with my own bissel in between. I have 3 kids, a dog and a home childcare business so the carpet is abused. However, it wasn't too bad at the time I called Conder but I wanted it freshened up since I had family coming for Christmas. It took me several attempts to contact the company but once I finally did, through text, we set up an appointment for several weeks out. The 3 guys who came where nice and they started working right away. I was shocked however to see them bring in a floor buffer type thing to clean the carpets with. They begun by spraying the carpet with their "eco-friendly" stuff and then proceeded to "buff" the carpet. I have NEVER seen or heard about carpet being done this way. I had been on their website several times BEFORE purchasing the living social deal and not once did it say their method. It does state "faster drying time" but never anything about their unconventional way of cleaning carpets. On their website they state things like "We use organic eco friendly green products with a low moisture technology for faster dry time ensuring no spots return!!!" "All organic carpet cleaning includes: vacuuming, pres potting,odor eliminator, deep cleaning and grooming to lift carpet pile" Deep cleaning?? Really how can you call that deep cleaning. All they did was buff the dirt around the carpet after spraying it. This did NOTHING to clean the carpets. On the website, the old one, they said drying vent cleaning for $29 so I opted to get that as well. However, when it was time to pay they charged me $39. He said it was because I had a coupon for the other services, once again nothing was stated or said to me beforehand. They also left lint all over my backyard and on top of the drying. Even though there was a trash bag right next to the dryer. So back to the carpets, once dried they didn't look any better and they felt stiff. I was extremely disappointed. I called them to get some kind of compensation back after contacting living social and complaining (they told me to contact them since the voucher was already used) it took them several days to call me back , even though I called Daily and then he wasn't answering his phone. I continued getting more and more upset and eventually gave up. Again on their website it states "We offer better than reasonable rates, a 100% satisfaction guarantee," If that was the case they wouldn't have argued with me about giving me the price I paid for the deal and the extra $10 for the dryer vent back. So I called them up and I was luckily able to book an appointment with them within a week. They were even accommodating enough to schedule an appointment 1hour later than their latest appointment time, 1pm. This is a small business, since the owner himself showed up at our door right on time. We had 3 rooms to clean, which were vacuumed and shampooed in about 35 minutes! A lot faster than I expected. The whole process was also surprisingly quiet too! Thanks to Conder Carpet Cleaning our carpets were smelling fresh and clean again. Once the carpets dried, I did notice several stains that were unfortunately not gone in one of the rooms. I've had my carpet cleaned a few times by different companies over the years to remove pet stains and bring back the fresh look. I've typically used Groupon because they offer a discount on the regular price. This was the first time and last time I will use Conder. Upon arriving, the owner, Kirk informed me that there would be an additional cost beyond the groupon price in order to remove stains. I thought this was highly unusual since this is a carpet cleaning service. I had been warned by a friend that this was a new practice being used by carpet cleaning companies to usurp their Groupon discount. I never had extra charges with previous companies. After I declined the extra service he threw up his hands and became visibly irritated as he walked out of the house yelling. He did continue to offer the carpet cleaning service. Upon completion of the carpet cleaning, I noticed that the carpet was no cleaner than it was prior to the service. It appears all he did was vacuum my carpet (which is something i do on my own).
