Confluence is a gem! Love having a restaurant like this in the Grove, balancing out lots of the bars and breweries. They have great non-alcoholic (mostly) alternative beverages, and if you have tried kombucha before, you probably have never had the unique flavors that Confluence brings to the table - I know I had never tasted anything like it before I went there. The service is great, and also super chill. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and both are pretty small. I have never had trouble with seating though. I have yet to venture into the food, but will hopefully soon, as it all looks good. My favorite part about Confluence is that you can get kombucha flights! read more

I stopped in for lunch and was really impressed. The food is creative and delicious. While a tad bit expensive, the food is clearly made from scratch, from high quality ingredients, and is delicious and artfully presented. I had the tempeh, served with a honey tahini sauce, pickled beets, and fermented kale. The tempeh was house made and fabulous. Most of the food involves some sort of fermenting, and they experiment with many traditional methods. I am very excited to try the nukazuke platter. In addition to great food, they obviously make kombucha. If I remember correctly there were 8 or so different types of kombucha, or other fermented tea. You can order by the glass, but tasting flights are also available. Growlers are available to go. The space is very small (only 4 or 5 two person tables inside, with a few tables outside). It was also a little hard to find from outside. I knew exactly where the location was as I had my GPS and still walked right past it. read more

What a hidden gem! As a LA native, I'm always looking for healthy cute restaurant that remind me of home, and this place definitely did the trick. We got the trout, which although it is a vegan restaurant was real trout! the skin was fried to perfection with a fragrant sauce underneath. We also had the tempeh, which was home made and flavorful. loved the bed of tahini and vegetables it rested on top of. The 8 kombuchas on tap were so hard to choose from, and i ended up getting the jackfruit which was super refreshing. Can't wait to come back and try some more flavors and their kimchis! read more

This was the first time I really tried Kombucha. The drink list is constantly changing full of a variety of flavors, but the biggest surprise was the food. You may come here or notice this restaurant for the drinks, but you'll love it even more after you eat some of their delicious food. We enjoyed the asparagus and the stuffed Avacado. I had a great time at the restaurant. I enjoyed the mushrooms, Kimbap tacos, and the coconut curry. The waitstaff and cooks recite everything on the menu. I enjoyed the food it is gluten free and all vegan. The Kombucha especially the jackfruit and saffron is delicious. I love that the food is locally sourced and cooked farm to table. We came to this place for the first time and we were excited to try out different kombuchas. We did the large tasting and we were enjoying trying the different varieties. We had only been there a few minutes, had not even had half of the kombuchas, when we were asked to give up our table to let someone else sit. This is a small place, but prior to a large party coming in, we heard the group call in and ask about capacity. Essentially, this place thought it was okay to boot us to let someone sit, even though we had only been there about 15 minutes. We felt very awkward standing and trying to enjoy our kombucha, so we ended up guzzling it and left. I don't endorse airlines overbooking flights and bumping people and restaurants shouldn't do this either. This will be our first and last time here. read more

This place is special. It is one of those restaurants where everything you eat just wows you. I went there for lunch and ordered an avocado taco and the thai green curry soup. Honestly, I've never had a taco like that before. Absolutely delicious. The curry soup was very beautiful and had a flavor profile that matched it. I couldn't recommend this place more. It really doesn't matter if you ready meat or not, you have to have a meal here. The food is so tasty, fresh and interesting, you won't miss meat. It's all seasonal and that makes your help in time with the planet. If you haven't had a meatless meal in a while, you will feel so refreshed. I don't live in St. Louis and I'm still dreaming about this place a whole 5 months later after my visit. My sister and I came here for a flight of kombucha, kimchi, and dessert. Such delicious kombucha with surprising flavors, loved the dark chaga ones and citra hops. I'm a kombucha fanatic, but this is the BEST I've ever had, hands down. Lovely staff and great ambience too, bonus points. My only regret was not trying more of their food options. I saw the food other tables had ordered and it looked like an art piece. Possibly my new favorite restaurant. I got the mushrooms and the turks turban squash and I was blown away. They basically pile an amalgamation of healthy, mostly raw foods that inexplicably all blend together in perfect harmony. Amazing find! I bought a quart of kombucha last week and returned to get a refill of a different flavor (there were 8-10) and decided to stay for a late lunch. Had an amazing salad of beet mouse, massaged kale, burdock, squash, cashew Brie, sprinkled with pistachios, seed crackers and amazing spices. Along with a tasting flight of 4 different kombucha, I was in heaven! Even if you're not vegetarian or vegan (I'm neither, though I don't eat a lot of meat), this place is amazing. You can even look into the kombucha brewery and see how they make it. There are only a few tables but it wasn't too crowded when we went.
