We were seated immediately, were helped immediately with drinks, and placed our order as well. We waited well over an hour until we got our food. Our party was starving, waiting very patiently, understanding they're just busy. But when the food arrived, I didn't get what I asked for. They apologized and left the meal for the table free of charge, which I appreciated the gesture. Yes, i ended up waiting another half hour for the food I initially ordered. Management made the proper appearance but this is definitely a first and last visit. Not to also mention the parties seated after us got their food much much faster than us. This review is really just about the margaritas as I didn't eat much food here since I came for happy hour. I love a good margarita and was happy when I saw their menu really focused on them. Yummmmmmm! Love, love, love this place! Just a bit pricey. Outside has wooden architecture painted a unique greenish-blue, so easy to spot. Inside is very niche and cute with very chill, San-Diego vibe music playing. My bf and I sat at the bar - myself next to an interesting tasseled lamp. I noticed they have cute figurines like a metal rooster sitting on top of the bar. We ordered spicy margs - delicious! Also ordered the Brussels sprouts with hot sauce and extra cut jalapeño peppers on the side. So good. They mix in sautéd mushrooms with the sprouts. For dinner I had blackened mahi mahi tacos which were delicious. My bf had the steak and devoured them. The bartender was courteous and attentive. This review is purely for the catering of chicken enchiladas and vegetarian burritos. I am most certainly not an expert in Mexican food but the chicken enchiladas here are so good! It's pulled chicken with Oaxaca cheese wrapped in a tortilla with salsa verde and avocado. After eating one, I could not stop myself from eating two more (they are that addicting). As for the burritos which have rice, black beans, crema, cheese, guacamole and pico de gallo- these were relatively plain and just alright, I wouldn't go for these again. read more

Staff were kind and friendly. Only issue is that the music is SO LOUD. Do not come here if you are looking to have intimate conversation with others. You literally have to shout to hear the people at your table. I would understand if it was a lounge but it's not- it's a small restaurant with no space for dancing. The sad thing about having to write this review is that the food was delish!!! However, the service was abysmal! They were busy on a Friday night and "accidentally" brought our appetizers and mains at the same time, meanwhile we were at such a small table the food didn't even fit. The manager (I'm assuming he was the manager) was running around and kept promising us 10 minute wait. So, my Jersey girl self found my way to Conmigos the other day while out in NYC with my boyfriend. I know when you dine in the upper east side of manhattan the standard quality is always higher than anywhere else. Because let's be honest, it's a dog eat dog world over here and if your food isn't exceptionally delicious, you won't get customers. And without customers, you can't afford the astronomically high rent. With that said, the food here is extremely exceptional, as it should be. I don't know how anyone can come here and not like it. The food is super fresh. Taco shells are made in house. It's clean, nice and with good service. Came here on a Saturday night around 8pm and sat at the bar. We ordered drinks - spicy margs, mango margs, passion fruit margs. All were excellent. We even got two free tequila shots from the bartender at the end of the night. For appetizers we got the elotes and the yuca croquettes. Both were excellent. Especially the croquettes they had a delicious cheese sauce and chorizo on them. For dinner we got the mahi mahi tacos and chicken tacos with rice and beans. Both were outstanding. Of course we paid $20 for 3 tacos so they better outstanding. But it's the UES so the high price tag isn't shocking. Anyway, I look forward to coming back here it was so good. I only took off one star because the food took about an hour to come out. read more

Mexican Restaurants have made and fallen from my favorite list due to a solid, smoky mezcalita. And their mezcalita is wonderful, smoky, smooth, with a chili pepper rim that gives a kick but isn't too spicy. They also have a number of specialty cocktails, but I was too happy with my mexcalita to deviate. Service. Bartenders and servers were attentive, friendly, wonderful both times. Food. Everything we had on both visits was wonderful. Appetizers: - Ceviche. Divine. Shrimp perfectly cooked. - Chicken flautas. These are a must have, incredible. - Queso fondido. Cheesy deliciousness. The complimentary liter of water was taken away as it did not safely fit. Very tight space for plates. The drinks are very sweet which are good if you're a lightweight but a ripoff if you have normal alcohol tolerance and want a good value for your buck. $15 a pop for juice in the UES? Meh. I was super impressed with the food at Conmigo! Manhattan is not known for having good Mexican food, so I typically find myself avoiding Mexican options in the city, but I was pleasantly surprised with the food here! Here's what I tried: - Guacamole and chips: initially I was a bit sad that you had to pay to get chips and salsa or chips and guac, BUT this serving of guac was worth it. The portion was generous and the ingredients were fresh. I was curious if they would give extra chips for free to better match the guac portion but didn't end up asking because I was satisfied and there were only two of us. - Street corn: tasty, but not out of this world. I think this could have used a bit more cheese or seasoning. Overall I was happy with it but not eager to order again. - Shrimp taco: strong chipotle flavor and slightly spicy, not my favorite order - Short rib taco: Super flavorful and tasty, would order this again. The waiter mentioned this was his favorite. The tacos are on the smaller side and are $5 each. I'd recommend ordering 3 for a full entree portion. The place isn't huge so you may have to wait for a table, but the vibe inside seemed fun and they had a good amount of outdoor seating as well. Although the vibe is seemingly fun and the food is pretty good (not super impressive but if you're craving fajitas or tacos, this will do the trick), we weren't able to enjoy ourselves because the music was INSANELY loud! Like CANT hear yourself think while just trying to have a late dinner. I love music in general, but they needed to turn it down at least 10 notches. Left a lot to be desired. Cute looking spot I saw online and the food looked a lot better than it tasted. Went on a Friday afternoon (3pm) and they were out of the empanadas, short rib, and mahi-mahi. While the server was nice, it seemed like he was the only person working, and as a result food came out late and cold. A simple order of rice and beans came out as the meal was over. The food lacked seasoning that gives Mexican food its big bold flavor. Guacamole wasn't spicy, limey, and had no salt. The birria tacos also lacked flavor and came with no salsa, like come on who eats tacos without salsa. The barbacoa fajitas was decent, I wanted to like it, it had nice texture but again no seasoning. A highlight were the yuca croquette, but a shame that it was the only highlight. I want to believe it was an off night (afternoon) for the chef, but only nailing one appetizer out of the complete order feels more like a reflection of a regular day at this resturant. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food I recommend you check out Cascalote Latin Bistro in Harlem. Looks like this place will be dinning "Sin Mi". read more

Another UES favorite of mine, the margaritas are so good and the best tacos. They have all different flavors for the margaritas, but my favorite is the cucumber one! I usually get the chicken, steak and shrimp tacos but the fish are also amazing. They are perfect size, so usually three is a good amount for a meal. The quesadilla is amazing to split with a friend and so cheesy and delicious. The workers here are so nice and they give you a free shot after your meal. My go to! read more
