Holy Geeze! Where do I start? First off I LOVE this place! The positive energy coming from all the staff paired with their welcoming faces is fantastic! As you walk in the menus are placed over the cooking line so you get to experience everyone making your food. Clean area with a country rustic look to it. Every single human working here was extremely nice and accommodating. Again the energy here is awesome. As soon as you walk in you want to be here. They have created a great space to enjoy your breakfast or lunch. I have been in here a couple times now and every time it has been extremely packed but it stays super chill. The food has such great flavor. When you order make sure you keep it as is unless it is an allergy. Everything works perfectly together on each item. Enjoy! Stop by! Ordered the Tuna Quinoa salad and it was really tasty! I ordered it without the cheese and it came as requested so I was very grateful. I also found out they have gluten-free bread, so next time I will try a sandwich!! What can I say, absolutely phenomenal. Not just the food. The staff. The family ambiance. The smiles. The happiness that goes into every bite. New hours due to covid are 11-2pm Monday - Friday. I usually get the philly with a side of Au Jus and their salads are awesome as well. I have been frequenting this restaurant since they first opened. Everything they stand for is honorable. Stopped in for lunch for the first time. I have to say I will for sure be back. I was going to go with a Cranberry Turkey Sandwich but they were out of Turkey so I tried the Garden Goat and it is so amazing. Honestly I waffled on it cause I wasn't sure if I wanted meat in my sandwich and I'm SO GLAD I went with it and it's amazing. I'm glad this was my first sandwich cause it sealed the deal. The idea that anyone could give this place less than 5 stars in unreal to me. The staff were AMAZING. Because of COVID, you couldn't go inside so they had a cute table in the doorway and the kindest woman took my order. Food wasn't too expensive, especially for the quality and portions. I had the toughest time picking what to order because everything sounded amazing. I went with the pulled pork grilled cheese and the beet salad- both were out of this world. I peeked inside and the environment in there was very cozy, and market-like. I can't recommend it enough! ALSO there was a bag littered outside and the worker ran out and grabbed it and said "who even litters anymore?!" which had me and the other customers laughing!! And tossed the bag. I absolutely adore organizations who provide honest and direct options for supporting those less fortunate all while offering a valuable service to those who can afford a nourishing meal. Note: They are only open until 3pm M-F, so if you're a late-luncher like I often am, be sure to arrive before they close! Every meal purchased provides a meal to someone in need. Knowing this makes the good food taste even better because it brings a sense of mindfulness to the act of eating your lunch! I first found this place at "Bite of Seattle." They were part of "The Alley" which is a tasting experience where you pay $15 and get bites from 5 different restaurants, and the money goes into a charity that reclaims rejected food from restaurants and gives it to the hungry. I totally believe in this model as so much food is wasted in this country while we have people starving. So important to support nonprofits such as this. Their tasting was their Southwest Salad which is superb! (It's the salad in the photo for this review). And I met Cierra who was super friendly and invited me to come in and see them in Georgetown sometime! Since my experience at the tasting was so awesome - I decided to go directly to the location and check it out - I walked in and there is a huge selection of items!! I went for the "You Pick Two" where you get a half sandwich and a half salad (or soup) in one meal. It was perfect for lunch! I also love that they cater - it's perfect for your business lunches because of the wide array of selection. All ingredients are locally sourced. The location is awesomely designed, kept very clean, and the staff are all unbelievable hospitable! The interior is modern and beautiful, with reclaimed wood tables and chalkboard menus. Cierra and Chaz are the two folks rocking this restaurant, among other awesome employees - definitely say hello when you see them! Also - they came to the South Lake Union Ice Cream Social and offered Acai bows - which were out-of-this-world awesome!!! Such a lovely alternative to traditional ice cream, and for me, accomplishes the same refreshing task of eating a cold item on a hot day. Conscious Eatery never ceases to amaze me with their innovative, healthy, and community-supporting options. I typically work through my lunch and don't eat while in the office. Today was different as I found myself hungry. I work mostly with guys and they were putting together a group order. Something they do from time to time. However, this time I wanted in on it and when I asked where they were ordering from I couldn't understand what they were saying simply because I hadn't heard of it before. Everyone around the office were yelling out....."it's soooo good there!" and "I love that place!" etc etc. So when I walked over to my co-worker, Omar's desk to look at the menu he said, "Oh no....you don't need to worry about this. I got you. You're going to love this. It's BOMB!" He ordered something for me and literally EVERYONE in the office ordered the same thing. The Spicy Turkey Dip. Maybe 15 minutes later a couple of the guys came around the office dropping off lunch bags at everyone's desk. As I opened the bag I already liked how things were thoughtfully packaged. I opened the dip and it didn't look like the standard Au Jus dip. Nope. This one looked more like Miso Soup with a slice of Jalapeno floating in it. Hmm...I thought. Creative and interesting. I couldn't wait to open the sandwich. It looked great and was perfectly golden with tender looking turkey and melted pepper jack cheese. I went in the the first dip and ultimately took my first bite of sheer deliciousness. Oh. My. God. I stood up at my desk.....made eye contact with my co-worker, Omar, and all he said was, "I know.....right!" I said, "It's soooo Fu!#ing GOOD!" There was another unique flavor so of course I had to look up the menu to see what was on the delightful sandwich. They also have this yummy house made garlic aioli that is to die for. As I'm super QUIET because I'm stuffing my face at my desk and the guys are all laughing because they can clearly see I'm in heaven...they go on to tell me this "Conscious Eatery" also donates a meal for every meal to people in the Seattle area facing hunger. WHAT? Wait...What??? So I read further on their website the work they do to make a difference right here in my city. One of my co-workers said, "They're like the TOMS for restaurants!" Haha! That's when I stood up and said, "I'm writing them a review. NOW." It's been a very long time since I've actually taken the time to write a review and I generally don't write one of this magnitude but this place deserves it. WOW. I ate the food so fast and I was not expecting I'd be writing a review so unfortunately I wasn't able to get a picture of the Spice Turkey Dip so this was the best I could do. I've had several items and usually opt for the 1/2 + 1/2 lunch. Sandwiches are nice and fresh, and the perfect size - Spicy Turkey is my fave; Tuna Melt is a little unconventional, but still tasty; Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese - as good as it sounds. Their scrambles are well constructed and upgrading to a breakfast burrito is a must on most days. Their setup is simple but well thought out. The prices are spot on for the area and offerings. The menu is adjustable when needed and that's a huge perk if you have special dietary needs. I'm glad they have reasonable portions, this is both cost effective and healthier over all. What a great place! We were so happy to find it as we went from downtown to Museum of Flight and then to airport. In the middle of a bunch of office buildings, there it was! We had a group order today, one of the sandwiches was incorrect which was no big deal but I couldn't eat it. So I called them up and left a message to let them know what happened and asked for them to refund the single sandwich that my coworker ordered. After I hung up, I was worried my coworker wouldn't get a refund so I decided to drive over and ask them to fix the sandwich, which they did. Cute place, staff was nice, no issues. As I left, I told the girl behind the counter that I had called in and asked for a refund on the sandwich and told her that that was no longer necessary since I came in to get the sandwich corrected. She said okay, no problem. Then.... several hours later I received a VERY RUDE message from someone named Sierra, she accused me of being dishonest and said that they're going to charge my coworker for the additional sandwich (even though I left the wrong sandwich there). The sandwich mistake was no big deal, but how Sierra chose to handle the situation was inappropriate and impulsive, she should have talked to me to find out what happened instead of leaving an incredibly rude and mean message. Bizarre place. I ordered a side of bacon to go with my scramble and was given a bowl of bacon bits. That's a first. When I asked about it she looked at me like I was the weirdo for wondering why I'm going to eat my bacon bits with a spoon that I wasn't even given. Coffee is served luke warm from a self help station with non-refrigerated creamer and only one sugar option (sugar), so my keto diet didn't enjoy the coffee. Water? Get that yourself too. The scramble came out wrong, and they knew it, they offered to remake it but decided to lay a guilt trip on me to decide if I wanted to take it as is. If you know you screwed it up, do the right thing and serve up what your customer ordered. This a deli style ordering and they bring food out but don't serve you. I've been here for lunch 5+ times at this point and can't get enough of the French Dip! It's my favorite in town and is so flavorful. We just had Conscious Eatery cater a lunch meeting for our business today and it was a HUGE success! We sent out the menu ahead of the meeting so everyone could select their own sandwiches. The feedback was great and everyone finished 100% of their food! The cookies are amazing, as well. We came in for breakfast, and my wife and I had the scrambles, which were pretty good. Portions were moderate - not generous but not stingy either; basically, they were in-line with the prices, which were reasonable. What was annoying though was when we ordered, the 20s-something cashier asked whether I wanted sour cream. I had noticed earlier on the menu board that it was an extra, but since she asked without stating an extra fee, I assumed that she was just going to add it for no cost. Turns out she added it to the bill. Cashiers at other restaurants that I've been to will ask whether I want XYZ for an extra $.50 or whatever it is. That makes things much clearer upfront because when I'm asked whether I want something extra straight up, I don't assume that I'll get charged for it because that's never been my experience. Is the extra $.50 or $1 going to bust my budget? No. But it's the notion of not being entirely transparent that annoyed me. Should I have assumed that they were going to charge me extra? I could have asked whether the sour cream was extra, but based on my prior experiences, other restaurants are upfront about the extra cost if they ask whether I want XYZ, or they'll even give it to me for free for whatever reason. So it didn't enter into my consciousness that she was going to tack on an extra fee. At least they're generous to the community, so that's a really good thing. I'm hopeful this was a one off, but the lack of transparency takes off a star from 4-star food. read more

i'm giving three stars not because of the establishment but because i think i should have ordered a salad--omg, the salads coming out to people who ordered them looked AMAZING! i ordered the fuego grilled cheese and while it was fine, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. the place itself has a great vibe and is certainly doing its part to help homelessness and adres the issue of people having access to quality food. i love that and would patronize them again just because i believe in their philosophy. i am happy to know about this place although my work schedule and their hours of operating don't entirely allow me to visit very often. if i worked in sodo or at the design center, i'd come in there all the time. it's evident there's a regular crew of customers which is also nice. they appreciate the quality and continually patronize this place; i just can't because i'm too far away and don't have a lunch break that allows for it. this was a good reconnaissance mission. i now know what the place is about and i know to be excited for one of their amazing salads sometime in the future. read more
