I've tried a few different things on the drink menu; I love Purple Rain, because it's refreshing and you can't get it anywhere else! Such a little gem! We were driving by and looking for a coffee shop on our way to our hotel and found this place! It's tucked away in a tiny little parking lot next to a barbershop. The interior decor was super cute and very aesthetic with lots of character. The menu was simple but comprehensive, you can get just about any type of espresso based drink here and they also offer tea and pour overs as well! Most of their drinks were made from Mad Lab roasted beans and they even sell some Mad Lab beans as well! My favorite coffee shops typically have great food as well, and Constellation definitely did not disappoint. They had too many good options that I'll definitely need to go back. The parking lot is small, so I'd recommend parking at the giant Whole Foods lot if you can and walking over. There's minimal seating, but a really nice vibe overall and enough tables that you may be able to snag a spot during your visit. I hate to do a bad review but I've gone to constellation since it's early days in silverlake during the pandemic and I love to support AAPI business owners but my matcha latte was incredibly so light. I understand there's a matcha shortage but I just felt like there was hardly any matcha powder. It was the lightest green I've seen. I know in comparison to ktown matcha spots they aren't the same but I do care about the business and supporting local in silverlake so just a bit of a recommendation to keep customers coming! read more

Checked this place out based on the great reviews. Nice simple, clean decor inside. They have some tables inside if you wanted to do some work or meet up with a friend. They sell some local items, including locally made cards. I picked up a couple. They also have some baked goods. I wasn't sure what to get, so I was encouraged to try the Hojicha, which is like a toasted matcha drink. I had it made with oat milk. It has less caffeine than a regular matcha unfortunately, but has a toasted, nutty flavor. Never seen it on a menu before or tried anything like it before. I would be curious to try their coffee drinks next time. It's a small little shop, kind of hidden and nestled within an outdoor area. You would definitely miss it unless you're looking for it, there's a small sign for the coffee shop on the street. Think there's a pilates studio next door. Will say parking was easy to find but leaving was immensely stressful. I thought the parking lane would loop around the back onto Glendale Blvd but it doesn't, so you have to either do a three-point turn in a very narrow area or back out all the way. Sadly, that alone is a bit of a deterrent for me to return. I did notice that the Whole Foods 365 is next door so I would probably park in that lot and walk over if I were to come back. read more

I came here with a friend one afternoon for some coffee and pastries and had a fun chat. The pastries were solid. They heated them up for us and delivered them to our table. Today, however, the barista suggested that I include a marshmallow cold foam on top to strengthen the taste, which I did and enjoyed. Service has been great as well. However, the parking situation can be challenging. The cafe shares a parking lot with a barber shop next door and because the lot is small, parking spaces may not even be available. In addition, it's really difficult to put your car in reverse if you're trying to back up. This place has been on my list for a while now so I finally decided to try it on my second half of my coffee shop Friday work day. It's a small cute shop and most of the patrons inside were working on laptops. I got a coffee cake donut and a decaf americano. The Americano was a perfect blend that wasn't too light on flavor compared to other coffees. I also enjoyed my donut which I believe the cashier told me was from cake monkey. I love supporting smaller local businesses since the workers are so friendly. My order was over $9 which I think is a little steep for what I got especially for the size of my coffee. read more

Pricing is inexpensive. Service: slow Parking: not too big, so hard to get around. - Gluttony Expedition - Cappuccino: bold coffee flavor (not too bitter/burnt), less creamy. Coffee like this tend to taste too burnt, but this wasn't so bad. But I'm not so crazy about this. For milk: the barista was an Asian guy, I'm not so sure whether if he was the owner. The froth milk quality was so so. After 40+ coffee shops, I know barista makes a huge difference on the coffee/milk quality. Milk quality wasn't so satisfying for me (see my pic!) unlike "Blue bottle" - not so creamy, not wet. Lesser quality than "Coffee Memes" for the similar profile. Overall, I don't dig this. Decaf cappuccino: Very light and mild, almost too light in flavor. But it tends to be like this when you have decaf one. GF chocolate chip cookie: too sweet, gooey texture. Meh. - Conqueror's Deduction - Despite the raving reviews, I didn't dig. But I'm a super finicky coffee connoisseur. It was better than average, but not as good as other coffee shops I've tried. For this area only, I prefer "Coffee Memes" to this for the similar taste profiles - bold coffee flavor, less milky. If you prefer creamier w less bolder coffee flavor, you prefer "Blue Bottle" to this. Some yelpers said rose vanilla latte was great. But those syrups really mask the coffee flavors - even the bad ones. That's why I always try a cappuccino/cortado w/whole milk for simplicity and better judgment on barista. I found this place because my hair salon is nearby and after one latte I'm hooked! The coffee was strong and the ingredients tasted high quality. The latte was so delicious I had to consciously drink it slow to not drink it within a few minutes. The decor is also super cute and welcoming. The cashier was really friendly as well. The pastry case is small but has a ton of unique options with everything from chorizo & jalapeño croissants to cakes and cookies, including plenty of vegan options. My personal fav is the vegan banana chocolate loaf. -1 star because the espresso wasn't quiteeee as strong as I would have liked and parking was a madhouse. I opted for a hot oat latte (my go to), which I thought was good -- creamy, but balanced with the coffee -- and comparable to my other usual coffee spots. I also got a cranberry ginger scone which was tasty and fresh. They had so many delicious options available. Service was *maybe* a little slower than average, but they made up for it in friendliness, plus I was there at peak time (took the last spot in the parking lot!!) I took my coffee to go, but there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating which was cosy. Lots of plants and bright decor. I also got the impression that they had a loyal customer base. It seemed like there were several "regulars." Last but not least is parking! They have maybe 10-20 spots in a dead end lot. Easy to park and spots are wide, but it was a little more challenging to get out, particularly if you park in the very back by the mural. If you have a big/long car I would maybe not go all the way back there! As it was I had to do more than a 3 point turn to get out in my Subaru. Was so surprised to see this cute hip coffee shop! I was in a part of silver lake that I had basically forgotten about - the part that has parking. Loved the cafe aesthetic and there are lots of fun products and art to look at. Definitely would be a nice place to chill when i have time next time. Very nice atmosphere with some plants and idk... I've been here a couple of times and it is a great coffee spot. The rose vanilla latte is amazing as is their oat milk latte. The rose vanilla has a touch of rose water and I think homemade vanilla syrup and it's just perfect! They were kind enough to set up a table outside as there is currently no indoor seating due to covid restrictions. The owner and staff are amazing - friendly, fast and they make a perfect cup of coffee. I also tried the vegan breakfast sandwich. It was simple but good with a beyond sausage patty, cheddar on an english muffin which hit the spot and not too heavy and came with a small side of raw kale. They had a burrito and a couple other food options as well as pastries which were sold out today by late afternoon. There's wifi and a parking lot with plenty of spots! Check it out! The store front is small with very limited seating, but they have some seating outdoors. The food menu isn't extensive. They have a range of sweet and savory baked goods.
