We were going to a show down the block and got here early to eat. We stood outside for five minutes looking on yelp for food places. This place looked to expensive but we looked at the menu and it was reasonably priced ($11 for burger and fries). The cashier and the guy who brought us the food was SO NICE!!! I eat a decent amount of burgers and this was BY FAR the best burger I have ever eaten. I can't even describe it. Like if they charged $50 for the burger I would have thought it was worth it (and I am not a big spender). The tofu wrap was okay, but the burger was AMAZING. I'm not sure if this is a ma & pop shop establishment but regardless -- this place is amazing. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, the cashier who was also the food runner and waitress was friendly, sweet very helpful. All the restaurants around the area were full due to the SuperBowl, so we called before hand to ask if they had a TV and if they were busy so we settled in. We dined in from beginning of the game to the end and enjoyed spending our evening there. Food came in a timely manner, we didn't wait long at all. The Turkey burger was hands down, ONE OF THE BEST. It has a unique flavor, juicy, all the flavors blended in perfectly with the veggies. It was so good I was considering ordering just a patty! This is a very cute & cozy food spot. A cozy spot tucked away in a strange part of town at the end of a strip mall. The decor and mash-up of different pieces are a little confusing and sort of reads "Kitchen Nightmares", but make no mistake, the food is delicious. This place is absolutely wonderful. We decided to pop in on a whim, seeing their amazing happy hour specials. The kids all got deserts and treats, and the adults were able to enjoy a glass of wine or beer. We spoke to a man who we can only assume was the owner, and he was a wonderful and happy man. He showed a genuine interest in our family and our story, I loved seeing my mom get to talk and enjoy herself! To top it all off, we loved the place so much that we bought treats to take home to the rest of the family. We stopped outside to take pictures and left our bag of take out. My husband just drove 20 mins to pick some food up to be greeted by the "open" sign, but a completely closed down restaurant. 40 mins round trip with nothing to show for it because of CK's false advertising. This is so incredibly disrespectful to customers! They don't answer the phone either, so it's not like you can call to know for sure when they've decided to close for the day. As a resi dent that lives around the corner from this cafe, I really tried to enjoy this restaurant and make it part of my routine but it is simply not happening. After each negative experience, I tried going again and hoping it would be right and its not getting any better. What is most disappointing is that I was a regular customer that comes in consistently ordering the same thing, but I was spoken to like I was brand new each time by the woman owner and she acts like she doesn't know me or recognize me. In addition on having my pick up orders wrong a few times, they will charge you full price even if you dont want the full entree with sides. There will be no adjustments or consideration for regular customers. This morning I called in a pickup order for a latte. The staff asked me if it was okay if she makes the latte when I get there because it will get cold. I told her to please have it ready when I get there and I dont mind if it gets a bit cold because I am only a 2 mins walk away and I am on a tight schedule. When I get there, the latte is not ready and the staff that I spoke to on the phone acted like we never communicated that it should be ready. The owner overheard the conversation and did not take control over the situation and looked away seeing me ( Again She acts like she has never seen me before). I had to approach her and explain the situation. Her attitude again was cold. Again its more of the attitude of the woman owner and the constant untrained rotating staff at the front that unfortunately can not be a great neighborhood cafe that I can enjoy living here. This place is so friendly, always clean and tidy, and has exceptional versions of familiar favorites with a Persian(?) twist that are super-fresh and served in generous (though not overboard) portions. I love the cucumber water and spaciousness of the interior. Also love the variety on the menu, from breakfast all day to lavash wraps to burgers and ribbon fries. The salads have generous amounts of prized treasures (so they are actually as described, rather than a mountain of greens with a few scant carrot shavings or whatnot). Highly recommend! I go to the nail salon next door and decided to just grab a quick sandwich before heading home. Immediately walking in, it seemed like a chill and quaint place to have lunch that doesn't feel overcrowded or too much going on in there for a Tuesday afternoon. The waitress was kind and polite and guided me on my order. I like that they sale alcohol in there as well! That was a plus. ;) I ordered a custom sandwich wrap and fries and was quite pleased. The older gentleman who brought me out my food was very sweet and offered caring service by making sure my food was piping hot and the beer I ordered with it was extra cold. Not a good start, Continental Kitchen BH... Was excited to try this new spot as it's right in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, was let down. Popped in for takeout around 4pm, to find the place nearly empty. Should have taken this as a cue to leave. Ordered a burger from the cashier, who seemed as though I couldn't possibly have been more of an inconvenience to her. Funny. With so few there, I'd expect she'd be happy to have another customer! Just to break up the boredom if nothing else! With no help and no posted menu, I eventually asked if they had one. Seemingly annoyed, she went and grabbed one while she impatiently waited for me to order. Order a burger. Supposed to come with fries, says so right on the menu. Spoiler alert: It didn't. You'd think this would be a quick order right? Nope. With so few customers there, it took nearly 20 minutes before she emerged with a bag from the back. Thought it was light, and sure enough, got it home to find it was missing the promised side salad/fries. By this point, I was too hungry to go back and wait another 20 minutes for some fries. Bad form, CK. Oh, so how was the burger?!? Not good. ESPECIALLY FOR $12!!!! Low quality beef and ingredients. This restaurant has it all. I've ordered many meals from here and am always satisfied. My favorite is the veggie lavash sandwich wrap. The sandwich wraps are held together very well with the Lavash bread. The ingredients in the sandwich stay inside the bread as I'm consuming it. Too many times I've started eating a sandwich from another restaurant and ended up finishing a salad because the bread fails to hold the ingredients together. Well not at Continental Kitchen BH. The lavash bread they use for the sandwiches is a great choice because the sandwich does not fall apart. I also enjoy the salmon salads and cold brew coffee. More times than not the person at the register unable to ring up order in timely matter - nor do they properly great customers. With such a large counter it is not very clear where or how to order. If the service staff was a bit more welcoming and instructive. It is amazing that it takes 5-10 minutes to get an beverage/coffee - bringing it out with the meal is not really acceptable. I am hoping to see them work out and get into a grove. WE NEED THEM in the AREA. As the workers of the area and the neighborhood folk visit they will hopefully come around to being the best thing in the strip mall. If they focused on just the food and service they will win over the local crown. They need to stop focusing on coffee as coffee bean is right next door and lets be honest CB will win that fight. The Restraunt was not crowded too just a few people drinking coffee and eating we got service right away . This is my first time eating at the Countinental Kitchen. It is a nice restaurant on the southwest corner of Wilshire Blvd and San Vicente Blvd in Beverly Hills. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was good and large portions, which usually, I can complete. Had to get to-go containers this time. I had the Baby Greens Salad, Tuna Sandwich with an order of regular fries, and a cup of coffee. The fries were really good, tasted like I prepared them at home, not much salt with the skin left on them. The tuna sandwich was excellent, and the coffee was great. I don't believe this place will last as long as the others did in this location. We ordered two meals Mediterranean chicken shish kebab and the beef shish kabob also their soup and cucumber yogurt. I must admit the soup was very good, it was a zucchini soup. The short commings of the food, came out cold we spoke to the owner / chef she stated to us all restaurants use microwaves before they give you their food, and they don't, this is why the food comes out cold, as she explained to me that's why all restaurants used microwaves even the five-star rated Michelin restaurants. REAllY wow I work in the kitchen of Michelin rated restaurants as a sous chef when I was younger, ( I got to tell them the only way our food come out hot is if we put it in the food in a microwave, and not to server it when it come out or not to time the food so both orders come out at the same time, that one sits when the other gets done. They need to get rid of the runners.) Also talking about the food the meats was very plain the chicken came out overcooked and the meat came out Raw, not seasoned well, the rice was not Mediterranean style rice regular Uncle Ben's or Smart and Final brand I am still out on the jury on this one. The cucumber yogurt that's what it was just cucumber and yogurt not even the Greek style yogurt, no seasoning not even salt, she calls herself a French chef? Yes she is French and yes she is a supposedly chef, but that's as far as it goes. Another thing to add why do restaurants serve you your soup or your salad with your meal? When did it become okay do the service this way? Why do you have to tell the waiter to hold off on the main course until you finish your soup or salad it's like they're rushing you to get out of the place. Maybe so you don't taste the food. (Note to all owners. Its call dining not fast food) If this restaurant last 6 months to a year I'll be very surprised, there are much much better Mediterranean restaurants than this place, also I have noticed that most of their desserts come from Sweet Lady Jane's for a French chef I'm surprised that not all of her pastries are not made in house. They're still working out the kinks with their system but everything works. I wanted to try the special meal which was beef stew which came with one or two sides (they only have three to choose from - rice, beans and corn). They also had roasted chicken. I sampled the beef stew which wasn't interesting so my wife and I opted for the burger. I don't eat dairy and they were happy to put feta on mine. The burgers were good. My wife had a side salad. The dressing was too vinegary for her. I had the fried potato swirl. They could have fried it a little longer - not crispy enough for me.
