Very satisfying.. So pleasantly surprised, for my first time here and only tried the chicken kabob and a chicken soup. But both exceeded expectations.. so delicious .. The chicken kabob was delicious marinade in what I believe may be yogurt and Mediterranean spices. So good I ordered a second skewer. The saffron rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy, and side of salad.. and the chicken noodle soup perfect ... warmed me up...and they gave me some toasted rye bread which I tore up and put in my soup OMG delicious.. Jackie was there at the register and read the menu to me perfectly, and helped me order for myself and my son. He is very picky, but he also loves the food; especially the giant cookie that was freshly made by Jackie. The rest of the crew is amazing. This is a decent Wilshire Blvd office lunch spot fixture. The quality of the food is good. On this stretch of Wilshire lunch spots you can get quality or flavor but you can't really have both so don't get greedy. I like that the portions are large, especially if you get fries or breakfast potatoes. Not too pricey, you can get it for 15 out the door. The veggie options are numerous, I like the avocado wrap (with a little assistance from the hot sauce packet) better than the the tofu wrap. You can even get a beyond burger. The staff is always real nice. I like that they have beer and wine but have yet to indulge in this. Probably best to keep it to NA during the lunch hour. read more

I'm going to start by saying I'm a little bias and my five stars are definitely based on more than just the food. I'll get to the food, but I have to start with the people. The owners are THE SWEETEST PEOPLE EVER! Reg (I've only said it, so that might not be the spelling, sorry!) is great. My dog is always greeted with love and (sometimes) treats. Anna is always good for a nice chat and a warm smile. I always say if my dog ever ran away Continental Kitchen would be the first place I would check because he loves these two so much! Anyway, that's my bias. Out there in the open, but sometimes a good restaurant isn't all about the food. That said, the food is good. Really good actually. Their hummus is out of this world. The fries are fresh and the chicken wings are not breaded and fried, but their sauce is awesome! Best part, it's all a part of their happy hour! Like all this and a beer can be yours for like $15(ish... Don't hate me if it comes to like $17). Their meals are great too. During the protests, they were broken into and I was clearly distraught over this. This isn't McDonalds or Pizza Hut (not that they deserve to be broken into either). This is a family-run business, operated by people who care. They work hard for what they have and do so with smiles on their faces. When I saw the damage, I was with my girlfriend, who hadn't been yet at the time and she could tell I was upset. While on my side emotionally, she didn't have that connection to CK. The first time we went, she got it. She met the people, ate the food, had the interactions (saw their love for my dog) I've had for a while now and she got it. Amazingly, through that experience, everyone at CK still wore their smiles proudly. This is a great place that makes a neighborhood feel whole and to see them broken into was like seeing your own home broken into. Overall, Continental Kitchen is just a part of the neighborhood I'm proud to have and visit! read more

I have enjoyed their tasty selections at their West Hollywood location, but now I have an even more convenient place to enjoy good food! First, and most importantly... this is a family-owned eatery. The decision is outstanding, a very inviting little restaurant. It smells terrific as soon as I walk in the door! I ordered the Cheezy Burger, with their coiled fries-on-a-stick. The burger had blue cheese mixed in the patty! At only $11, it's a relative steal here in Beverly Hills. The burger was juicy and tasty! I wished it would never end. The fries were tasty, too. So I thought I'd try something new. My first clue should've been when we walked-in and and there was nobody there except the owner in the back table with some friends. But the place has four stars, right! I ordered a cheeseburger. Even told my friend I'm going to play it safe. Very underwhelmed. I've had way better burgers at a backyard barbecue. In fact, the sesame bun which was cold and not soft at all. I feel like they just took right out of the bag they probably got from Ralph's or Smart n Final. Really disappointing. In retrospect, I'm really glad I got the burger well done. The fries were OK. I did order them well done. I don't know what's going on with their "chipotle ketchup". Weird flavor and really I thought it was tomato paste with some kind of weird spice. Also weird was the fact that they ran out of regular ketchup. I ordered an orange mango smoothie for five dollars. It was OK. Probably would never order it again as a matter fact, I'll probably never eat in there again. My friend had the veggie burger and said it was OK. I work across the street and had been coming to Continental kitchen for the past seven months they gave me the wrong order and I had asked for a refund took a picture and came back a week later. When I came back she said it was too late because I didn't come back that day haha.. speaks for itself I just asked for a refund on the food because I didn't eat it and she said she can't provide me a full refund or a comped meal I said no thank you and starting walking away as she desperately tried to bargain with me on the way out the door. This place is always empty and by the way she was acting the restaurant must be in dire financial straights. Unfortunate situation Every time I went to this place I would tip 20%... Cozy spot, fantastic furniture straight out of a Wayfair commercial, and also best damn cheeseburger I've had outside a McDonald's. I saw patrons working on laptops, with a friend/co-worker, pretty sure some days one can find an actor running lines with a friend, or a writer fresh to sunny Los Angeles meeting his agent for the first time over a damn good lunch. We were going to a show down the block and got here early to eat. We stood outside for five minutes looking on yelp for food places. This place looked to expensive but we looked at the menu and it was reasonably priced ($11 for burger and fries). The cashier and the guy who brought us the food was SO NICE!!! I eat a decent amount of burgers and this was BY FAR the best burger I have ever eaten. I can't even describe it. Like if they charged $50 for the burger I would have thought it was worth it (and I am not a big spender). The tofu wrap was okay, but the burger was AMAZING. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, the cashier who was also the food runner and waitress was friendly, sweet very helpful. All the restaurants around the area were full due to the SuperBowl, so we called before hand to ask if they had a TV and if they were busy so we settled in. We dined in from beginning of the game to the end and enjoyed spending our evening there. Food came in a timely manner, we didn't wait long at all. The Turkey burger was hands down, ONE OF THE BEST. It has a unique flavor, juicy, all the flavors blended in perfectly with the veggies. It was so good I was considering ordering just a patty! This is a very cute & cozy food spot. Sort of feels like you're in your moms kitchen & a bakery at the same time. It makes you feel comfortable and at home. The lighting is perfect and the interior design sets the mood just right. The owner and his family were watching the game with us as well and they were super duper sweet and very interactive with us, they honestly made us so welcomed.
