A few Cajun fries and Cheddar Bacon Burger.
    Jill L.

Love these burgers! I got the cheddar bacon burger. The bacon was crispy! I would prefer a cheddar cheese slice but did still like the cheese sauce on the burger. In Wichita, we have nothing like this. I loved the Cajun fries and wis I hadn't shared them. My daughter liked her chicken nuggets and asked for Cajun seasoning on them. She just wished you could order more than a 5 pack...like an 8 pack. I will definitely go back here during my visit and wish we had this restaurant back home.

    The second chicken strip wrap
    Los

All I'm saying is that I'm a grown man if I order two chicken wrap from you all give me a whole chicken strip are either too small pieces like y'all only wanna get one small piece this is not a kid Neil y'all pissed me off with that, this is my money. I'm paying to eat give me enough food to feed myself. I'm not a child every time I go to the cookout and it never fails. Just sad!!!!!!

What a deal !! The burgers and shakes are so delicious , make sure to ask for the cook out sauce !! The price for the combos are super affordable and you can get multiple items for one price. I must say the menu is a little challenging to understand but once the cashier explained it I went about my way to order. I got a burger with cheese, lettuce ,tomato ( you build your own burger ) , cheese fries and a cookies and cream shake . Yum yum yum! Now I wish one would open in NJ!!

Service is bad you can barely Hear out of the drive through speaker and the workers there are so rude they get mad if you ask for condiments especially the red haired white lady. Food is good but I don't think it's worth going because the people there act like you are a nuisance, do better. Arath yusue thank you for being so rude I hope this lady isn't the manager

Big Double Burger with everything; fries and onion-rings. Cook out style hot dog for dessert.

I walked in because of the name of this establishment, and I'm so happy I did. Cook out has mix and match menu of tasty options. My order is as big double burger with fries and onion rings; and got cook out style hot dog. The burger was so delicious, the bun was soft and the burger tasted like it came from the cook-out grill. Fries and onion-rings were tasty with cook-out sauce added to the goodness. Service was excellent Austin working front counter was awesome because I had some first timer questions. Cook out is counter service place with booth seating. Cook out is worth your time and effort. ***this place is Flight Attendant approved***

3.5 rounded up because I mean...it's CookOut! Obviously from the outside, you can probably tell what you're going to get into. Need a quick meal? CookOut. Want variety? CookOut. Want a bomb shake? CookOut. Their milkshakes are an absolutely fav across the milkshake universe & even better is that you can get them mixed! Taking it another step, it's even good after leaving it in the freezer for a short time. Though quick and cheap, CookOut does have some good items if you're looking for something late at night or just quick in general.

    RAW "Well Done" Burger

I specifically asked them for a WELL DONE burger because i KNOW how they quickly make burgers. SMH RAW BURGER smh check your burgers before you eat it. I was unfortunate enough to be half way in my burger smh. This is the second time i have received a raw burger smh oreo milkshake was icey smh i asked for cajun and got regular fries. YES fast service is great but COOK YOUR MEAT PROPERLY thats a whole health violation smh

It's ok. I wouldn't crave it, but if I had like 9 kids to feed I would take them here. 99 cent corn dog on the side...I'll take it.

I looked up good burgers and Haven came up as an option. We always love a dive-y bar with good food, so decided to try it. We get there and the front door has a sign that says smoking entrance and that the nonsmoking entrance is in the back. We go around back as I don't smoke due to my Dad and Granddad dying from cancer due to smoking. We entered the back door and there are two bathroom doors and a third door saying smoking entrance. The non-smoking section is a small hallway next to the bathrooms. I guess that is their way of mocking non-smokers. We walked back around and used the main entrance. Basically, from the moment we entered we were clearly not welcome. It was a Sunday night, but they were open for 90 more minutes. We asked what was on tap, ordered, and we were given bottled beer. I guess the taps don't work. We didn't ask. The bartender then stayed as far from us as possible chain-smoking with some regulars. Maybe the kitchen closes early on Sunday. Anyway it was clear we were not getting any food there and left.

We returned a second time and super busy on a Tuesday same time-why? Fish and Chips Thursday (1/2 price). Not too long of a wait though -1/2 hour and went fast as we had a drink at the Bar. We tried a couple of appetizers-goat cheese dip and fire cracker shrimp-both tasty. The Bacon stuffed Gouda burger was ordered on both visits -Ground Chuck/Proper Tavern Burger and it was that good! Fish and Chips were also ordered both visits-perfectly battered Haddock living up to the Tavern billing. The Tavern Monte Cristo is one to try. Battered and fried sandwich is never a bad idea-we loved it! We had a mix of draft beers (import)-they had Carlsberg (Danish) which isn't easy to find as well we had a Scottish Ale. Overall, an ample import draft list. Service was super engaged and upbeat from beginning to end on both visits. They are a Futbol Tavern and they mentioned they do get quite busy and have an even more of a fun atmosphere during the season-too bad we only visit during the Futbol off season-summer. We saw banners for Oktoberfest celebrations. Specials Monday-Thursday including Whiskey, wine and Wellington! Also, have a couple of sister locations in Hampton and Fredericksburg. Most definitely has been added to our must stops when visiting the Beach!

The mug club you get a full mug (so 24 oz) for the price of one pint. I have to ask if there's rules on what beer you order but that will be in the next review.... on to the food! My husband got the shepherds pie and he said this was an easy 10/10 the lamb was cooked perfectly. Great seasoning and overall flavor this is a hit. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage... man it's going to be hard to try other things on the menu because this was actually perfect. Well, one thing I would LOVE to see is some gravy on the mashed potatoes or even on the side. The potatoes taste great themselves but something in this dish is lacking diverse flavor I feel like that would have brought everything together to make it 10/10. I will still get it again though! Beware for all of my savory people... the cabbage is cooked to have a sweeter taste idk if I loved that but I added a little salt and it was fine. Carrots and mustard were great additions. Needless to say, I rarely ever finish my entire place and I stuffed myself full of corned beef to make sure I got every left bit. Can't wait to come back and try the fish and chips next!

It jiggled when I tapped it and the side salad tasted great with dill in it and it brightened up things. The combination of both was great. The crust on the quiche was nice as well. My spouse enjoyed their sandwich but didn't realize there was mustard so he ended up just using the chips to eat his egg and sausage. His egg was also fluffy. The decor is nice resembling a type of restaurant you may see in New Orleans. Right when I was looking through the menu, I ran into Chef Moe who greeted me with a handshake. It has been years since we last saw each other but the vibes came right back since Sophia and I were long-standing customers. We couldn't talk long since he was busy, but it was great to run into him again smiling from ear to ear seeing me there. Great people indeed. How was the food you might ask? Pretty damn good. We both ordered their fried catfish meals with sides (mine came with fries and sweet cornbread and Sophia's with mashed potatoes and gravy and mac-and-cheese). The fish was seasoned perfectly and was huge. It was big enough to cover a football field (just kidding). The fries, as always, tasted great and the cornbread was delish. The both of us ended up taking home leftovers where the food didn't lose any taste from before. It was so refreshing to stop by after so many years. The atmosphere definitely makes a good first impression. As far as the food and customer service, everything was just okay for me. I ordered the shrimp, fish, crab cakes, and chicken wings. The crab cakes were mostly bread, which was a little disappointing. The wings were okay overall, but one of the wings was extremely feathery, so that definitely threw me off. One thing I would recommend is giving customers a little more sauce/condiments. I asked for vinegar to go with my shrimp, fish, and crab cakes, and I received what was basically a teaspoon of vinegar. I definitely needed more than that! I will say, I think I enjoyed Mama's Kitchen more at their previous location. I used to get a variety of their food (with the exception of the macaroni), and I remember enjoying it more. Maybe I just caught them on an off day, so I'd be willing to give them another try and see if my experience is different next time.
