My husband got a chocolate chip cookie sundae, served in a big glass bowl. There are also shakes, malts, phosphates and other treats to choose from on their menu, as well as a case of homemade candies. The place isn't big and is rather crowded so we got an "eat and get out" vibe from the staff, which made me feel rushed (and who wants to hurry through ice cream?) Overall, though, Margie's has clearly been a Chicago favorite for a long time for a reason. Check them out.

I heard about this place online and was excited to try it. I had never had a deep dish cookie. I went in said hi to the owner and took a look at the menu. There were so many options and toppings. Racial profiling wasn't a topping and I didn't ask for it but that's what I got! One other customer was in the lobby. She and the owner seemed completely nervous with a black man like me in the lobby. I was wearing an activewear outfit and a hat. (I wasn't dressed like a bank robber or thug.) I decided on two cookies and paid. But the owner watched me like a hawk and spoke very nervously to me while he got my items. It was so obvious he thought I was going to rob the place. I could've just walked out given the way I was being treated. But in those situations, I like to force the racist to deal with me politely. After I got my cookies I asked for a spoon and left. I will never go to this place again. The cookies actually weren't bad. But with the treatment I got, I'd sooner eat a can of nails than ever give money to this place in the future. read more

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Joe and Cookie Spin for our son's bar mitzvah, and they truly exceeded every expectation! I believe the cost was like $10 (which is less than $2 a cookie). Ingredients and preservation of dough was premium. I choose to freeze my dough and make on a movie night. Cookies came in good handy on New Year's Eve. We made these cookies after dinner. I set them on parchment paper while the oven heated up. Cookies took about 18 min to bake in my oven. Very easy and simple. Instructions, nutritional information on the container. Review of cookie: so soft, quality melting chocolate, and satisfying sweet taste. I only ate one cookie and was totally content. My triple Chocolate cookie went well with red wine. The next morning had another cookie with coffee. Yum yum!!! Will be back. On previous visit for Yelp event, I had the hot chocolate. Wowza do I want more of that. This place isn't too far from my gym. Will grab Hot Chocolate after a good lifting day soon.
