I ordered the Big Blue Aggie, and my husband went for the Chicken Bacon Swiss, both served with fries and remoulade sauce. Everything was delicious, but I think the chicken sandwich was my favorite! Ruby is THE best hostess, waitstaff, cashier, server and human being!! The food was fantastic!! Grilled chicken was the best chicken I have ever had... seriously!! Fries were delicious and the Utah fry sauce Ruby offered us was out of this world good!! REAL and good food here - they even grind their own spices!! The Vibe was the absolute BEST too!! Very busy place, with families, college students, travelers like us and a few people on date night. Not one person was on their phone --- not one! People were talking and laughing and enjoying each other and it was fantastic! It was like walking into a time capsule! Excellent service, friendly staff, out of this world good food and the vibe was something that can't be replicated! It was a profoundly wonderful time well spent at Cooks Underground. The burgers here go absolutely crazy. I've never ordered something here that I don't like, and the overall feel of the place is very, very cool. The employees seem attentive and have always checked with me when my food's taken a little bit longer and fixed any issues I've had ASAP. I'm not a regular, but usually when I'm feeling like splurging a little bit and getting a burger this is is the place I go. They use a lot of local ingredients, like Gossner's cheese, and you can really feel the quality coming through. I often get their burgers that have eggs on them as a personal preference, they always cook the egg exactly how I like it. Which sounds silly, but sometimes you ask for an over-easy egg and you practically get a raw egg that throws off the whole balance of the burger. Not here, though. They also have other interesting burgers, like the Lost Ark burger, which has jalapeño poppers on them that tastes phenomenal. The theming is just... fun. Their garlic fries are also fantastic, my sibling's gotten the bread pudding and really enjoyed it, and their "minion pops" are hand battered mini-corn dogs that are as close as you can get to a fair corn dog without it being fair season. So you should come here if you haven't already. read more

No no no no no. How is this place rated so highly? The staff was friendly enough when I walked in. I should have seen the warning signs though, when the paper menu they gave me was so stuck to the unclean table that I almost couldn't peel it off. The woman who took my order proceeded to blow her nose loudly then use the tissue to dig around in her nostrils, before picking something out of her teeth with her bare hands. I kid you not. I was waiting for her to WASH those hands when she began to plate my food!!! The burger was dried out and beyond underwhelming. To add insult to injury, I ordered it with three ingredients removed, two of which were sauces. I then asked for one ingredient to be added...a different sauce. I was charged $4 extra for the sauce...on a $13 burger! I understand charging for extras...even if it replaced many more ingredients that I had removed...but that was literally +30% of the price of the sandwich. WTA bloody what!? I am stunned that this place is staying in business. And please, if you are the owner (or health inspector) talk to the frigging staff about basic hygiene. read more

My favorite burger so far. Fast friendly service. Easy parking out front. Ordered pickup and got everything ordered all three times. Spot on. Price was very good for quality of food served. Buns are made fresh each day. If you want an amazing burger this is a great place to try. They have a sister restaurant in Paradise as well. Grains of Paradise. Same quality food and menu. I have been here twice and am deeming these burgers the best in Cache Valley. They have lots of different types of burgers, vegetarian options too! I had the Royale with Cheese and fries without garlic. I would also just like to take a moment to mention the pickles, which were crunchy and flavorful, yet didn't take away from the burger. The buns are soft and have great sesame seeds on top. The fries are crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside and salted to perfection. You can also watch black and white movies while eating your food and get a free tiny bag of popcorn to eat while you wait for your food! So cute! I would resurrect my burger-loving grandma to eat here if I could. Fresh ingredients made by real people. 10/10 will be back regularly! read more

I took my son and niece here when I was visiting from Alabama. Their food is delicious. We tried Bob's Burger (I added Avocado and Pepperoncinis), Good Morning Burger, Bacon Royale with Cheese, regular fries, garlic fries, Remoulade (house fry sauce), fresh ranch dip and their Orange Cranberry Almond Bread Pudding. It doesn't have a big space to sit in but the table and chairs were great but I would replace the high tops they have. They felt cramped. We moved once a regular table became available. The staff was friendly, kind, and very helpful. Service was fast, air conditioning was blowing and felt great on a hot day. My family of four ordered: Three combo meals - 3 burgers, 3 fries and 3 drinks I ordered a Salad w/protein, side of ranch and a water cup apx. cost 85$. The food left a lot to be desired. The salad I ordered was called "When in Romaine", with the added protein "burger patty". Three bites in I couldn't gag it down anymore. My salad was extremely salty - I couldn't eat it, the water I drank to try and wash the taste out - ended up making it worse - truthfully felt like I was drinking salt water. My husband and sons had burgers w/fries. Again so salty you could not taste anything else. Needless to say - we won't be back. read more
