Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone else about this place. We plan to come back often and don't want to have to wait. Delicious sushi and more things on the menu that we wanted to try. Atmosphere is fun with loud music, so don't expect to go holding any important business meetings here, but if you have a group of four or so and are in the mood to try new flavors, it might be for you. They have regular sushi rolls on demand, but the menu rolls (I had the Cool Fish Crunch Roll) were the stars of the show. Dumplings and pork sliders were very tasty; would get again. Big fan, great sushi too. The seating area isn't terribly big but anytime I have gone I got a seat no problem. The menu is not big and consists of only specialty rolls if you are looking for sushi. I wish they had a simple spicy tuna roll to add on but no luck. Our service was fine, but the food came out terribly staggered and my roll was only at our table when my dining companion had finished his entire entree of his steak bowl. The food was mediocre at best. Some rolls prepared in advance with dried out rice. The worst part is absolutely ear splitting atrocious non-stop electronic music. Could barely hear the server. This was our second trip in... either we got lucky both times or this place really is that good. I call ahead and ask fir a table (it's the times we are in) we walked right in to our table both times. Ordered drinks which were both fresh craft cocktails. The drink list is really good! So many specialty drinks to choose from. Both times the service is custom. The staff seems to pull together and constantly looking around to insure everyone is getting what they need. It was very busy with people waiting outside but the staff seemed to handle is really well... The food came out amazingly fast. I ordered the same roll twice! It was that good I highly recommend this place. We are planning date night very soon Their Facebook even offers a free sushi roll promotion and we did not cash in on it because we are going back! read more

First they didn't have my reservation I made the day before. Then, they didn't want to accommodate date us until I ask for the manager . Then they gave us our meals before our appetizer. Then , our bill was double of what it should have been and took them forever to fix it. Never ever going there again. Food was good but awful service not worth it at all. read more

This is a great place to visit for a date night or drinks with friends. Would not suggest for groups larger than 4. Sushi bar right in line with the regular bar. Great beer selections, and I definitely dig that they do a 10 ounce and 16 ounce pour. They also have cocktails on the menu (here fishy fishy fishy! Cornelius has been waiting on you; Cool Fish is open til 2 AM!) Started with the tacos and sampled one of each (shrimp, steak, and pork.) They were all absolutely delicious, well balanced, and visually appealing. Ordered 4 different rolls to share. They were a little skinnier than I was expecting for the price, but they were very good. One was not better than the other. We tried Tiger Roll, Cali Dream, Awesome Roll, Crazy Tuna. I really appreciated the thicker cuts of fish on the tops. They were generous with the sauces as you can see in the photos. The absolutely only drawback is the price. Would stop in for a beer or an appetizer, as those are some of the biggest draws to me. I'm not too impressed, unfortunately. I received an ad on facebook for a BOGO free sushi bowl. I clicked that I was interested, and then, cue the mayhem. After countless messages of "redeem today" "would you like to use this" "this expires soon!!", we caved and went to try. They had only ~3 varieties of bowls to choose from (odd they chose BOGO on bowls?). They were fine. Not a lot of fish, but there was a lot of dressing. The fish didn't taste super fresh, and it just was an overall eh experience. And yes, I did receive MORE messages over facebook to come back. read more

First off the seating in there is horrible. Tried sitting at a high-top and it was like trying to relax on a bicycle seat. Moved to a regular table and then it got interesting. Ordered the plantain w avocado and shrimp but the plantain cups seemed cold and stale. Got the short ribs and they were way too fatty and chewy. THEN the flies showed up. We were inside and had 4 flies attacking our space. I get it when you're outside but dang, it was horrible inside with air conditioning. I've gone 3 times and the 1st time the food and DJ were great but the service was my issue. That night the credit card machine was down and I understand technology but my wife and I sat there for a while and no one came over and finally I flagged someone down and had to pay the owner with Venmo. No big deal but it would have been nice if the manager would have come over and apologized for the inconvenience or maybe offered something if we came back. 2nd time was for lunch and the server completely forgot what I had ordered and the place was empty .3rd time and I went back because the food is actually damn good and the DJ and music is too. This time I sat at the bar and my server was ok but no one else at the bar ever asked me if I was ok or needed something and I sat for more then 5 minutes with an empty beer glass and I did it on purpose to see how long it would take before someone noticed. I was watching all the action behind the bar and I'm a pretty good people reader and I couldn't tell you who the manager was because no one seemed to be managing. In my opinion all the people behind the bar should work as a team and they worked as individuals. It's too bad because service can ruin the evening if it is bad no matter how good the food is. Cool fish can be a really good place but management needs to check itself and wake up. read more

They typically have phenomenal service and a great attitude (Very Very Kind) even when it's packed. I usually get the miso soup(and always order takeout), it's very good and very fairly priced! Had a great waitress, manager and other waiter checking on us throughout the night. We were disappointed by the spicy edamame, just steamed with red pepper flakes thrown on top. Complained to waitress, she was very accommodating but we were not interested in a substitute. We shared 3 rolls, all good, but nothing great compared to other sushi restaurants we've tried.
