This is pretty fucking good and not extremely expensive like many other places like this. Hard to find because the name isn't on the building. It was the correct place luckily for me when I came by. This is located on Broadway at 101st on the Upper West Side. Beware there's only room for a couple of customers. Order a smoothie or a bowl, and they make it fresh. It's about $11 for a bowl. The prices are decent. I had the Açaí Peanut Butter Bowl. This came with the frozen pureed açaí, and was topped with coconuts, granola, and peanut butter of course. It doesn't have any room for seating inside because it's such a small building. It's takeout only. That's okay because the Hudson River waterfront will only be a few blocks away and that's a cool place for eating bowls and such. read more

Very unassuming, small shop with amazing and reasonably priced smoothies! My go-to is the Cool Fresh Shake with non-dairy milk, which really hits the spot especially after exercising. This smoothie has the perfect combination of avocado, spinach, cucumber, banana, and peanut butter. The staff make it super creamy (not icy at all) and you can always taste the flavor of avocado and peanut butter, but they do not overpower the drink. The large size is usually sufficient for a meal and keeps me full for a few hours. The staff are always welcoming and accommodating; they always confirm your order and choice of milk in advance. While the shop is clean, it is very small so there isn't much seating inside with only one stool, but they provide bags for grab and go. read more

The owners are a very sweet, hardworking couple. They always greet us warmly, and are patient with my mom's many modifications ( sub strawberry for banana and add spinach) The prices are reasonable- $13.50 for a modified açai bowl that is definitely 2 portions Smoothies are also delicious and made with fresh fruit and vegetables. I tried the large milk tea boba here and i paid with card. A friend told me larges were 5.99, and with card it was only a bit more expensive. The Jasmine Bubble Tea was 3 stars - they use a plastic dome instead of sealing it with plastic due to limited space - thank you to the owner for explaining this via Yelp messages! Most of the bubble tea shops use cup sealing film for their drink tops - no chance of spills or mess - until you spear it with the straw. Also, some shops give you a choice of sugar level or no sugar options in their online menu choices. I also tried one of the juices - it was allegedly a carrot based juice with beet, kale, etc added - but it was bright red and looked like mostly beet juice. My brain and taste buds were in conflict at first but it was fresh & tasted fine. Enjoyed the juice ! They make everything fresh which takes a minute as is to be expected. I never would have tried this due to the ramshackle storefront were it not for the glowing yelp reviews - I am so glad I did. There is an enormous variety of smoothies and juices with fresh (not frozen) fruit, and impressive prices ($6-7.50 for a 24oz smoothie or juice - and you can customize yours if you'd like). Do note there is a 3% price increase for non-cash payments. They are very quick to prepare these as well. The venue is very small; there is no indoor seating, and only about 2 customers can stand in line at a given time. This is admittedly a bit strange because they are not lacking in vertical space; the cash register is just positioned so far to the front of the store so as to create a huge kitchen and very little space for customers to stand. It is also odd in terms of interior decor, with string LED lights and glowing glass menus - this is not Pressed juice bar's aesthetic. However, for a to-go beverage, I don't care, and perhaps not having the most avant-garde or clean minimalist aesthetic is what allows their highly competitive pricing, which is the main draw for me. read more

Randomly found this spot while craving a cold fruity snack. Both my other half and I went with smoothies. There are a multitude of options so it took me a while to decide what I wanted. When I finally made up my mind, we ordered and got our smoothies shortly after. My other half went with the Watermelon Surprise which comes with kale, watermelon, apple, lemon, and lychee. This smoothie came out brown and it originally looked very unappetizing, but it was actually a lovely blend of flavors. Who knew watermelon and lychee could mix so harmoniously? I went with the Cold Warrior which comes with lemon, ginger, orange, mint, pineapple, and carrot. Cool, sweet, with just the right kick of tart and ginger. I do want to note, this place is extremely small and has very limited seating. Originally I wanted to order an acai bowl but changed my mind due to the lack of seating. It's definitely a spot you might pass by accident, since it's tiny and between two larger storefronts. I don't know how they store such a variety of ingredients in the back. This is the "hole in the wall" version of a fresh juicer! I was truly overwhelmed by the options. You can read all the information on both walls for a long time and be just as unsure after reading them all. Based on the Yelp reviews, though, I knew I had to go with the Kale Monster. The 2 guys who own this place are always happy and a joy to be around. My preferred bubble tea/health smoothie spot in the area. Not too sweet, they don't go heavy on the sugar. Their green ingredients are super fresh, but what really gets me is their great vibe and happy smiles. They have two sizes small and large for juiced. Also this place is super flexible when you order - not a juice on the menu you want? They will make one just for you! A large pressed juice is $7. Great deal and great service! Açaí bowls are also incredibly reasonable and fresh. The fruits were cut up as soon as I placed the order. You have a choice of what you can add on top in addition to the fruit - coconut, flax seed, granola, chia seeds, goji berries. Very tasty and refreshing. The ingredients are always clean, fresh, and I seem them work as they whip up a smoothie. Juices, smoothies, "health shots," acai bowls are ALWAYS made right in front of you and you can see for yourself how they personally build your order. Fresh. They also have bubble tea, which I have found to be pretty decent. I'm not sure if they use fresh juices for the bubble tea but they are a cheaper alternative to Shiny Tea a few stores down, unless you want something more specialized -- this spot just has tapioca pearls. They must have close to 100 different options for smoothies and juices posted on their walls. I like my Peaches Delight, Green Monster, or just customize something yourself--they'll make what you ask. I get large smoothies for less than $7--and the taste is noticeably better than Juice Generation, Liquiteria, Pressed Juicery, where'd you would be paying $3-5 more for the same thing. I feel good paying less and contributing to this smaller business. The staff are friendly and fast, the quality of product is fresher, and the price is better, too.
