This place is just sad. Came in to retrieve my personal items from our car. And everything looks like it's been rummaged through and torn apart. Like the car is totaled but at least let the owners retrieve there belongs first then do whatever you would like to it. Had my iPhone charger in there hoping to get it back but unfortunately it was stolen. I'm pretty sure there were more item stolen but it's already too late to worry about that. What's done is done. We were also told to bring the title for the car there. But once I brought it there they didn't know why I brought it. And didn't know what to do with it. After getting my belonging we had to wait for the supervisor that never came to speak with me about the title for the car. After playing the waiting game patiently I decided to just take my title and leave. Hope to never have to return to this type of place. Life lesson don't leave any personal belongs in your car. After the accident it was taken to a tow yard and then to some car auction yard where they just go through your personal belongings without ur permission. Then take shit that don't belong to them.

    Hours long wait time outside

Worst and most Unprofessional staff ever. The Woman running the front have a big attitude problem and will purposely take longer so you have to wait hours to retrieve your vehicles. If you ask them more than one question they act like it's the end of the world and act very rude and rush you out. The average wait time at this location per person is at least 60 minutes! Make sure you bring your check books with you because there card reader does not work and they don't accept cash. Next Step is to Contact the Better Business Bureau and file a formal COMPLAINT! DO NOT recommend anyone to do business here, your better off at BAR NONE Auto Auction.

they stole the battery out my car and replaced it with a old car battery that looks like it's been sitting in the junk yard.

I came in here to pay for a car. It was a horrible experience. Managers didn't even want to help. Absolutely do not recommend.

2 days before the auction and they have 1 person to show the lots. I've been waiting for way over an hour. Horrible customer service.

Once I was nearing the…read moreend of my negotiations with the insurance company, they tried to move forward on having the car picked up from the body shop prematurely. Yes, it was gathering storage fees, but please know that insurance covers that until you agree on the car's value. So, I received a call from a woman named - Starts with D ends with a nise... that wanted to arrange the pick up of my car and asked me to call the body shop to tell them that I had released the vehicle to them. When I told her that I was still working on it with the insurance company, she proceeded to tell me that the car was accruing fees sitting at the shop. I let her know that the insurance adjuster had gone over that with me and that I was working with him to do....as she then interjected and cut me off mid-sentence (expedite the process), " So you don't care then!?", in which I responded. " You must have me confused with someone else." (Me thinking: You can miss me with all of that). At this point in time, we can pause this whole thing because you're rude. End of convo. Just know that manners are not the strong suit of the person they have designated to run the FRONT DESK and communicate with customers to figure out logistics. You can take your time to finish whatever you are doing with insurance and not let them bully, guilt, or disrespect you into releasing your car.

We have an awesome tow package with AAA so we had our 2006 Dodge Ram Megacab towed to our house, until further notice with the insurance claim. AAA is contracted with Copart, so AAA had our vehicle picked up and towed there to determine wether it was a total loss or repairable. (Yes AAA will also be getting reviewed) Our Dodge was at Copart from Monday-Friday, during its stay at Copart our truck was moved on their property with their forklift breaking our air horns and my Banks 6 Gun IQ screen was STOLEN. (Basically that's the computer that controls the truck) We're thinking they stole it thinking it was a GPS. The Banks system is still set up through my truck, they just stole the screen. My brother worked for the South Sacramento Copart and told us back in the day that this happens all the time. So heads up on Copart, be CAUTIOUS with them even when buying a car from the auction.

Firstly, one has to acknowledge that an auction house is what it is: A disposal site for mostly…read moreworn out things. One also must admit that the dynamic at an auction is deliberately designed to tickle one's dream of 'the great deal' and the urgency of the timeline promotes spending more than anyone wants to spend and often more than the junk is worth on the open market. And the general notion that the 'digital' version is corrupt, creating fake bidders or whatever is another story. AND it's important to say that (aside from the expected gruff attitude of the yard 'bulls') everyone who works at the place, doing the heavy lifting literally or bureaucratically, are perfectly cordial and do what peons do, I mean, would you want to work there? However, I can describe (briefly?) my experiences: Basically, one need be prepared and capable of fixing things, and be ready to pay, in the beginning or the end, more than you want to, and more than it may well cost on the open market. Before you say that you have to either be an expert or hire one to inspect things thoroughly, for whatever reasons, reasonable or otherwise, you cannot even bring a screwdriver to the yard, and of course, you cannot do anything normal with a machine to really have any idea if it has grave or expensive issues. I bought a low-hour utility truck which had multiple minor issues, but I paid at least $3000 more than I think it was worth. Then I bought several other lots, from truck racks to welders to chainsaws which were all essentially non-functional or completely blown up. All of it would go on to the trash heap if I didn't have dramatic skill at fixing crap that is TOO FAR GONE for the majority of people in the world. That's mostly why it is on offer. One can say that if you buy a metal frame for which the MSRP is $1300, (robbery of course) for $80 plus the ridiculous "buyer's premium" and taxes (including Sacramento "city" tax !?!) and spend $100 in gas to burn in 3 hours of driving to pick up the damn thing, you could say you saved $1000. Except of course, I was an idiot, and because it's too much trouble for Barnone to actually measure such things, such that you might know that the frame is not actually square but polygon shaped, despite their published dimensions, and I ended up having to cut and re-weld the frame... ...well, my fault for not properly studying the thing. There are basically three reasons why stuff is on this lot: 1) It is worn out 2) The gov't deems it a gross polluter which can no longer be operated or 3) Somebody died and their family is cleaning out the garage. In the 3rd case, maybe it is not (complete) garbage and the family just doesn't want to deal with it. But you will likely pay too much, whatever that means. So finally: I waste your time reading this (if you've made it this far) just to conclude that it is a normal situation, entirely 'buyer beware,' you take all the risk, good luck to you. BUT it would be great, esp. in light of the "Buyer's premium" top skim, (which is not insignificant) if the owners, a 'consortium of investors from the upper east side Manhattan' or whatever, would do us all a favor and instruct the institution to BE MORE DISCERNING about what is on display, and for example if you're going to offer a chainsaw that has been completely seized and thrown in a lake for 3 years, either STATE as much or refuse to offer it. We can dream anyway. Best of luck to you.
