I don't ever agree to let an insurance company (AAA) take your car here. 1. It's a hassle trying to reach the actual lot your vehicle is at. They alway send you to customs service. I had to call multiple times to get an update on my vehicle, even after speaking to the manager on site (Hussan) 2. It took me 5hrs (11:30am- it's now 4:30pm) for them to release my vehicle to me even after the insurance company sent multiple emails giving the ok to release it. 3. They didn't properly read the notes that states the insurance company will accrue the fees. And after I agreed to pay the fees because I was over it, they asked me to go to another lot to pay the it because I didn't have cash. SERIOUSLY! Save yourself time and frustration. read more

I wouldn't give them 1 star, they dropped the ball in our insurance claim with USAA, they were supposed to send to dmv so we can get a salvaged title this was in Feb 2024 we are in Aug 2024, we went to dmv multiple times no salvage registration received. Call copart many times, the just fucking stupid. My son had to purchase another car, he want to keep his vehicle, and his cars still sitting because we can insure it. We had full coverage. This place is just sad. Came in to retrieve my personal items from our car. And everything looks like it's been rummaged through and torn apart. Like the car is totaled but at least let the owners retrieve there belongs first then do whatever you would like to it. Had my iPhone charger in there hoping to get it back but unfortunately it was stolen. I'm pretty sure there were more item stolen but it's already too late to worry about that. What's done is done. We were also told to bring the title for the car there. But once I brought it there they didn't know why I brought it. And didn't know what to do with it. After getting my belonging we had to wait for the supervisor that never came to speak with me about the title for the car. After playing the waiting game patiently I decided to just take my title and leave. Hope to never have to return to this type of place. Life lesson don't leave any personal belongs in your car. After the accident it was taken to a tow yard and then to some car auction yard where they just go through your personal belongings without ur permission. I'd give a 0 star if I could. The whole company is owned by a bunch of crooks that charge you for every little thing you do with them. The price hikes in the recent years have been insane. For a car that you win for let's say 10k they'll charge you close to 2.5k in fees alone. They have a fee for everything. And somehow manage to add more random ones anytime I come in. Pretty soon they'll want $5 per flush if I come in yo use the bathroom. Just to preview a car is $25, didn't bring a "mandatory vest"? Additional $5. Copart started out strong and would compete with IAAI.com, now they just don't care anymore. Take a look at your next bid receipt and pay attention to the retarded fees they slide in there. Worst and most Unprofessional staff ever. The Woman running the front have a big attitude problem and will purposely take longer so you have to wait hours to retrieve your vehicles. If you ask them more than one question they act like it's the end of the world and act very rude and rush you out. The average wait time at this location per person is at least 60 minutes! More then 10 people waiting for 1 Copart employee to show cars, need to wait 2 hours or sometimes more. Copart is a online auction that sells vehicles from insurance company and private owner who wish to get rid of their car quickly. It can get confusing working with Copart due to the fact that almost every location has their own rules. When things get complicate the workers there are really clueless and they'll just make you stand there waiting while they play phone tag with the head department. They love to throw the newbies in the front to deal with the customer. If the newbies are no where in sight the other workers will continue doing what they do and just ignore the customer they see waiting. They're very good at looking right pass you like you don't even exist. To them it's the newbies' job to deal with the customers, it's funny because sometimes they have time to laugh and gossip but no time to find someone to help you, while your stand in line waiting 5 to 15 mins at the front desk. Once you get to know the workers they are really nice. But the fact is Copart company itself lacks in training their employee on problems solving and customer service. Sometimes I can't believe how regular workers can just come make up their own rules and have such an attitude. It's very unprofessional the way they talk to their customer. It can come out as rude and bit*chy. I personally like the people, but when it comes to working with them it's hard. Copart need to train their employees better, not have the newest newbie be trained by the former newbie. I suggest anyone who wants to work with the Copart; to do business at the location 8687 WEYAND AVE Sacramento, CA 95828. It's only about a 5 min drive from this location and I don't get why they have two yards that's so close to each other. The Location on Weyand is a lot smaller and they just remodeled. A lot of people go to the main Copart which is the Morrison one. But the one in Weyand can do the same thing and it's slower so they tend to work better with customers and they're a lot more friendly. read more

Since we became Copart members we have had nothing but, bad experiences @ Sacramento location . We had purchase vehicles where parts get strip off, knowing it wasn't how it was sold as shown in the Auction site. Had dealt with tittles not being present at time they said they will provide them for me. Had to pay late fees for their system glitch and to top it of Very bad Customer Service when it comes request information of what fees are due before paying for a vehicle! Really wish management can provide better assistance to us buyers! read more

My car was declared total by the Insurance company and my local body shop. Once I was nearing the end of my negotiations with the insurance company, they tried to move forward on having the car picked up from the body shop prematurely. Yes, it was gathering storage fees, but please know that insurance covers that until you agree on the car's value. So, I received a call from a woman named - Starts with D ends with a nise... that wanted to arrange the pick up of my car and asked me to call the body shop to tell them that I had released the vehicle to them. When I told her that I was still working on it with the insurance company, she proceeded to tell me that the car was accruing fees sitting at the shop. I let her know that the insurance adjuster had gone over that with me and that I was working with him to do....as she then interjected and cut me off mid-sentence (expedite the process), " So you don't care then!?", in which I responded. " You must have me confused with someone else." (Me thinking: You can miss me with all of that). At this point in time, we can pause this whole thing because you're rude. End of convo. Just know that manners are not the strong suit of the person they have designated to run the FRONT DESK and communicate with customers to figure out logistics. You can take your time to finish whatever you are doing with insurance and not let them bully, guilt, or disrespect you into releasing your car. read more

Went to drop off a title that was returned to me. Called to find out where to drop it off and was given this one. Ow I had already been because I initially dropped the title off before it was sent back. I asked if I would have to wait again because last time I was there 30 minutes with 1 person in front of me while the counter lady chit chatted. I'm on my lunch from work and took me 30 minutes to get there. He said yes just go in and tell them you need to drop off a title. The title already had the stickers and all information so easy lookup. So I went in and the lady at the counter wouldn't let me get 5 words in before she's like "we're a virtual wait sir you'll have to check in". I tried to say your corporate said I don't need to but was immediately cut off. Asked for a supervisor. And she was very helpful. IMPORTANT NOTE ON HOURS: Copart's office is open until 5pm, but their lot/yard closes at 4pm- so if you're showing up to pick up a car, show up before 4pm. (Didn't apply to my visit, but apparently this information would've been useful to several other customers who were there the same afternoon I was.) I don't have much of a review, since I only showed up at Copart to clean out my personal belongings out of my totaled car, and I did so without much hassle. Couple of things to keep in mind: take exact change if you plan to pay with cash and make sure to purchase a moving permit prior to arriving. I honestly feel that copart and brokers intentionally charge fees behind your back. I worked with the most terrible broker (a better bid, please don't use them) and they could not explain the charges. Therefore, I called copart to get an explanation of the fees and they refused to give me information because I was not the broker, even when I was the one who paid with my money! This copart business and brokers work hand in hand and will not clarify what their charges are. Their politics are absurd and senseless. The ladies at the counter were nice but of little help. Be prepared to face a long and frustrating process or read every single disclaimer they may have before you attempt to do any business with copart or their brokers (who suck!). I dislike the bidding process all way to when the car is ready for pick up. In a sense this system is corrupt and unfair, especially when it comes to fees. I can't believe I came to this establishment of my own freewill. I came to help my buddy pull the nice wheels off his totaled car and grab his belongings. Easy right? My buddy got there first and we waited for an additional hour after I got there, bothering the office until they brought the car forward. When we go back some of his belongings are obviously missing, the car is sitting in the dirt right up against the main road tow trucks and lifts are quickly entering and exiting. We specifically told them we are jacking cars up and replacing wheels we need a level surface and to be AWAY from traffic. Zero safety protocols. After expressing our concerns to multiple lot workers who's only two responses to our question were "you can't be here" or "talk to the office". We finally found a lift operator who was the only helpful individual, he did exactly what we needed. TO MOVE SAID VEHICLE from Place A to Place B. Replacing wheels and grabbing belongings takes 20 minutes tops, this ordeal took 3-4 hours. Do with this what you will 5th graders could run this business better. read more

My car was towed to this lot after an accident. I went within a couple of days to collect my belonging that were left in the car. Unfortunately, it was a mostly terrible experience. I called ahead to confirm that my vehicle was there and that I could get in. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and responsive. When I got to the lot, the women working at the front counter were also very nice and helpful. And then....it took almost 30 minutes to get the yard people to bring my car up to the front, where customers can go. I could see my vehicle the whole time, as it was only a few rows over. I was the only person waiting to see my car, so I have no idea why it would take so long. 30 minutes is ridiculous. At one point, one of the women working inside called on the radio to check on the status, and they told her they were just pulling up with my car, WHICH WAS A LIE. I could see my car from where I was standing, and there was not a tractor in sight. It was still another 5 minutes before they got to my car. And the worst part - most of my personal items were STOLEN. I had personalized plates, and only one was left. I had a Sac Kings license plate frame, which was gone. I had sunglasses, baby items, and a couple of other things that were gone. I drove almost an hour to get to my car here, and was only able to collect one plate (which is now useless since the other is missing and will have to be inactivated) and one baby item. I realize that it is a risk to let the car be towed with items still in it, but I was in a high speed collision, with my baby in the car, and collecting everything as we dealt with the police, fire, EMTs, etc. really wasn't my priority. So, on top of having a totaled car, accident injuries, and insurance settlements....I had my stuff stolen. What a disappointment. read more
