    Red velvet birthday cake

We received a red velvet birthday cake as a gift from this bakery and we were all blown away. It was super delicious! Not too sweet. Another new place to discover.

Absolutely stellar cake. We searched throughout LA to find a bakery that made a German chocolate cake and this bakery did not disappoint. Beautiful presentation and deliciously moist cake. Will definitely will be back. Thanks for such a gorgeous cake

There aren't enough angles to demonstrate my' love for this homemade chocolate layer cake from Marigold Bakeshop. This Pico Robertson bakery and coffee shop has been open for two years, but it's easy to miss. I was headed home from Eilat and Glatt markets when I spotted it, did a quick U-turn to check out the coffee, and left with a huge slice of their top-selling chocolate cake. Fresh out of the oven, moist, delicious, and not too sweet, this OG-style confection is a chocaholics delight. Pastry chef Corina is the genius behind the bakery's popular cinnamon rolls too, another sell out. If you need a meal excuse for dessert, the shop serves a small but tasty breakfast and lunch menu. The sun-drenched cafe, a great spot to meet up with friends, also has a few picnic tables with umbrellas for people watching along Pico. Highly recommended.

Ayooooo!!!! So on the hunt for best Cinnamon Roll in LA and would say def top 3 hands down. They only offer them during the weekend FYI. They are not overly seer which I appreciate, very moist. 5/5! The Chcocolate cake prob #2 Choc cake for me, Susie cake is still my Fav. The Cake reminded me of Devils Food Duncan Hines but elevated from scratch. Again not overly sweet but wish there was just a little more frosting in between the layers. 5/5 Plenty of street parking , Cards accepted and staff was so friendly.

Very kind service, the coffee is alright not bad at all. The ambiance is super cozy which is a big bonus. The chocolate cake is definitely good but frankly, it doesn't taste like anything extraordinary especially for 10 bucks a slice. The cinnamon roll is incredibly soft and moist but it is like they cut the cinnamon amount in half. Barely any cinnamon in the cinnamon rolls. Would come again if they increased the cinnamon in the rolls.

Cute little bakery with some tasty pastries. We tried several items - strawberry/cream danish and banana bread were tasty. They had a lemon bar which isn't a normal menu item, I thought it was fine. Nothing special. I felt the cinnamon roll was good but since everyone raved about it so much, I may have gone in with really high expectations. It was ok as well. Overall, everything was ok for me. But the place itself is cute, the service was excellent and I hope they continue to be successful!

Looking for a delicious pastry? A perfect coffee? A warm and friendly welcome? Marigold Bakeshop is the answer to your prayers. There's no place like Marigold - Karina, Fernando, and their team have created an atmosphere where it feels like everyone is family. They greet you when you walk in the door and help you decide which of the AMAZING pastries you're going to try. If you're there before 11:30am, you can try one of the amazing breakfast burritos that have tater tots in them! After 11:30am, you get access to the lunch menu full of fresh salads and sandwiches that are unbelievably filling yet light at the same time. The space itself is bright and welcoming to all: families with energized kids, workers who need wifi, and people just picking up something to go. When it comes to the pastries, there aren't enough good things to say. I have never been disappointed by anything I've tried at Marigold. From the cupcakes to the sweet scones and the savory tarts, everything is amazing. But for me, my number 1 item is the Coffee Cake. Coffee cake isn't something you often write home about - it's "just" coffee cake. But this coffee cake is not only worth writing about, but worth making your way to Marigold Bakeshop to try. There's something so special and delicious about it; I would genuinely eat it every day if I could.

Marigold Bakeshop is the sweetest cafe! I can't believe this was my first visit ever, and it definitely won't be my last. I stopped by on a Sunday morning for a quick breakfast. I ordered an iced americano which came in a huge glass. I usually ask for my iced americanos with extra ice so they're less watery but I forgot to do that here, and it was PERFECT. Very rarely do I drink a plain americano (no sugar, no milk) and it is delicious. Perfect ratio and the espresso was not bitter or acidic at all. My fiancé and I got a cheddar biscuit to munch on while we waited for our food, and it was admittedly the weakest link. But only because everything else was so much better! We split the smoked beef sausage breakfast burrito with avocado crema and salsa roja. It was so fresh, delicious, and flavorful! I loved combining the sauces, and it did not last long. In the LA market for breakfast burritos in 2025.... $12.75 was also a very reasonable price. It definitely gave the $20 Wake n Late breakfast burrito a run for its money!! The star of the show though was the Cinnamon Roll. Apparently they only make these on the weekends. Even though we debated trying other pastries, the consensus of those in line with us was that we had to try one while we could. Apparently they tend to run out - and I can see why! It was moist and perfectly sweet and just incredible. So far we have incredible food and really good coffee. On top of that, it's a warm environment with lots of natural light, nice tables, wifi, outlets, and a welcoming neighborhood feel with lots of regulars?! Marigold Bakeshop checks every box. I'm definitely a new fan!

If I could go above 5 stars for Marigold Bakeshop, I would. I'm a sucker for a cafe with solid coffee, good pastries, and an ideal environment to meet up with friends and/or get work done. Marigold was a 10/10 on all the above. I got an iced latte, which came in a large glass -- big bonus points when coffee shops have real glasses/mugs for drinks. My fiancee and I split the smoked beef sausage breakfast burrito, which was delicious. We went with the avocado cream and salsa roja, which were both great. The burrito is a pretty good size for $12.75, and the crispy tater tots inside were the best part. We also got a cheddar biscuit and the cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was easily the best I've ever had. It's huge and so fresh -- and they only make it on weekends, so definitely get one if you can! There were tons of other sweets that looked great, too. But above all, the atmosphere and vibes at Marigold are really what tie everything together. The staff is super sweet, and there are tons of tables, each with their own outlet. There's Wi-Fi, natural light, and just a generally awesome local neighborhood vibe. It was clear that several people in line behind us were regulars, which is now a goal of mine!

Tried a bunch of stuff from the bakery, and it was pretty tasty. The staff are very friendly and nice. Just wasn't necessarily wowed by anything that I tried. Cute ambiance and I could see myself going there again if we lived closer, but since we live about 18 minute drive away, not sure if I will come again.

Meant to write this review sooner, but we tried Marigold bakeshop out one morning and it's so bright and cute. The staff were friendly and helpful and we ordered a coffee cake and a spiced pear scone. The coffee cake was good, but the scone was amazing. My husband still talks about it! We decided to preorder a pumpkin pie and a chocolate cake for Thanksgiving and it was the best decision. Pick up the day before Thanksgiving was easy and both treats were a huge hit with our family. The appropriately named "I Love Chocolate Cake" is definitely a new personal favorite. Very moist and rich, but not over the top sweet. I normally don't like frosting very much, but I devoured every part of this cake! Looking forward to coming back soon!

I think I found my new go to bakery for birthdays. The cake was so moist, flavorful, and fluffy. All my friends and family asked where I got the cake from because they all liked it. The custom design came out exactly how I was expecting. My only regret is not getting a bigger cake to have leftovers. lol The workers are so kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend

I'm from the Bay Area but I've been to Cafe Dulce several times. My wife and I really like their Hong Kong Tea Latte and their Matcha drink, as well as their various donuts and baked goods. In the morning rush they can be a little busy but the staff work hard. On a recent visit I saw people eating their steak breakfast burritos, so I ordered one for myself and a coworker. The burritos were reasonable size, the steak was seasoned well, and the breakfast burrito had potatoes in it (I only like breakfast burritos that have potatoes/hash browns/tots in it). Mochi Twist ($5)-- Nice and dense mochi texture? I guess it's hard to describe but it's not hollow and airy like a typical donut. There's some chew to it. And it's not too sweet! Blueberry Roti ($4)-- Flaky crumble on top and blueberry jam?? YES YESSSS. I liked this so much I'd definitely go back for it. Blueberry jam is so underrated and it's rare to find it in a pastry! Makes for a good sweet lil treat. Hot latte ($5)-- Perfect!! No complaints. Not too milky, not too light. Good ratio. I was actually kind of worried ordering a latte because not every place does it right but it's good here! Iced blueberry matcha ($6?)-- I see lots of good things about this drink on here but ooooooof... it missed the mark and by a LOOOT too. It was green sweet cereal milk. Where's the matcha? Where's the blueberry? It was so confusing because I see the green and I know I ordered matcha... but it's just sweet milk! And it's not even blueberry flavored milk. Did they forget the blueberry jam? Syrup? Whatever they use? Because it just tastes like the milk after a bowl of Frosted Flakes or something like that. Very sad, very disappointing. Ended up tossing after a couple sips. ANDDD for those matcha purists this is NOOOT the place for you! They have it pre mixed in a milk gallon. So we just saw green milk coming out of a gallon into this cup like yeppppp ok expectations immediately lowered. Anyways, hot latte is good and the 2 pastries I got were good! I also tried the Korean chamoe (melon) smoothie, and it was very refreshing. It tasted like they used real melon, since there was a slight natural tanginess that made it even better. There is free parking, though the lot is a bit small. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating, but the seating area is somewhat limited too

We walked into Coin De Rue and were amazed by the selection of pastries they had. They were…read morestarting to run out of some early afternoon but what they had there looked incredible. There were endless selection of salt bread and different flavoured buns which all looked delicious. As we were browsing and deciding, the lady at the counter was kind enough to offer us a sample of the butter rice cake. The butter tteok tasted pretty good on the spot so we bought a pack of 5 back home along with a hot and spicy salt bread and corn soboro. The butter rice cakes were already cold and hard when we got home, the inside was dense and chewy in a bad way. I didn't want them to go to waste so I tried reheating them in the over for a few minutes. It was warm but the texture never recovered, everything just got more dense and hard. The hot and spicy salt bread looked like a winner, but when we bit into it, the bread was just crunchy and overly buttery without a lot of flavour. The inside did not have the soft pillowy texture you'd expect from salt bread. The filling was a budget hot dog and some corn mixed with mayo. We cut the bread in half and my boyfriend said his piece had way too much mayo and mine barely had any. I grabbed the corn soboro thinking it would be delicious since it was corn season but was the most disappointed by it. I reheated the bread again to get the cookie top to crisp up. The soboro top didn't have a lot of crunch or flavour, it was just a layer of sweetness with no texture. The corn cream filling was not good, the corn was dehydrated and had no flavour at all. It honestly tasted a bit like canned corn that's over baked, I ended up scooping it out because the bread was better without it. Maybe it's better to go earlier when the baked goods are fresh and eat it there instead of taking it home.
