This coffee shop is alot smaller than I thought. It is in the lobby of what I think is a co-working space or some office building. There is cool art work on the walls of the coffee shop and in the lobby little area that is connected to the coffee shop. There are a few bar stools to enjoy your drinks and pastries at or there are a few outdoor seats. I got an espresso tonic drink which was good. Not sure what drink my friend got. This coffee shop is great in many ways! I selected the caramel latte and got it iced. I have never tasted a more smooth/velvety texture in my coffee before! It was absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly and really helpful when selecting/recommending items to try. And lastly, the speed! We waited less than 5 minutes for our coffee and both were hand crafted. read more

Shoulda listened to the most recent reviews. Headed here about 15 mins ago, hoping the negative comments were an anomaly. From the minute I set food in the funkyily decorated establishment...the dude with brown hair just seemed least interested in answering my simple question of which I've cream do you use in your ice cream latte. I ordered a taro matcha iced. I got a very cute colorful sickeningly sweet hot drink with 10 ice cubes floating in it. I gave it about 5 sips post mixing the coffee, but no chance of improvement. I had to chuck it in the street bin. I always like to support local chains but this is a true waste of money and could do without that attitude on a Monday morning. After enjoying a bagel, a few of us decided to grab some coffee, so we went to Copper Mug, which was nearby and had good reviews. Also, I was enticed by their Portuguese egg tarts. The interior is on the smaller side with limited seating. The counter had a selection of pastries on display, like tahini chocolate chunk, croissants, and variety of sweet breads. LAVENDER LATTE The latte was a bit watery and lacked a strong lavender flavor. It wasn't great. PASTÉIS DE NATA The puff pastry of the egg tart was very thick with not much egg custard inside. It was also a bit soggy, and the custard lacked the vanilla notes and velvety creaminess I was looking for. They source their beans from Superlost Coffee (a local Brooklyn roaster), which I ended up buying a bag of. Convenient little spot with nice decor. There is a little seating inside and usually two or three patio tables on the sidewalk, weather permitting. On a weekday morning it was quiet. I am an annoying matcha snob so tea to milk ratio and the strawberry puree to everything else ratio (which is always better in the pictures!) wasn't my fave but it's still way better than many places. They apparently use matcha from Kettl which is a great source, I would rather go here than Cha Cha Matcha. They have a solid little spread of pastries, I wasn't super hungry so enjoyed a Portuguese tart, which is served warm. The coffee was whatever. The man up front was unnecessarily rude when asked a simple question about their seasonal menu. Not only did he assume I didn't read the menu, which I did... but clearly wasn't listening to my actual question. Apparently this is a recurring issue, because someone a month ago wrote a review about this same issue. Advice to the owner: Icons are not a universal indicator of what is and is not considered a "latte". Especially when the headline states "Seasonal Latte" and the only following header is below a menu item that is not in fact a latte. Instead of assuming that it's clear maybe think about how you are labelling things and don't treat your customers like they're idiots. read more

The coffee was decent. I was hoping it would taste a bit more unique since it is housemade lavender syrup but it didn't really stand out that much. I am from Seattle so I'm spoiled when it comes to great coffee that stands out. Service was quick and painless which is why I am giving a 4 rather than 3 star. I had a hot chocolate and a croissant. The croissant was amazing. I went back for a second. The hot chocolate was great too. The lady in front of me ordered her coffee extra hot and I didn't quite understand why until I took a sip of my hot chocolate which was Luke warm at best. The drink photos from this place look super yummy so I wanted to give it a try. I went earlier in the morning so it was a little busy, but not crazy for a NYC cafe. I got a taro matcha and nutella banana bread. The person who took my order was very kind and asked how I was and what kind of milk I wanted, and quickly grabbed my food item. My drink was prepared promptly (but also carefully -- I watched him do every step and take his time!). After reading other reviews that said they had a negative experience with service, I think it's possible they were just having an off/stressful day. I will say, this is not the best matcha or banana bread I've had in NYC (esp for the price). I appreciate that they clearly put work into their drinks/food, but the matcha was too bitter and the banana bread was sour and tough. The tart is more closer to a pudding type texture, sweet and buttery! A little heavy but Very yummy! The taro and matcha blend really nicely together and are flavorful without being overpowering. A very unassuming coffee shop that's in the lobby of a building and always has really friendly staff. I always make an effort to stop by in the morning whenever I'm in this area. The seating inside is a bit limited since they only have space for a bench, a few counter seats, and a small table. They have a diverse and large menu offering, from standard caffeinated beverages to a wide assortment of pastries.
