Copper Mug is one of the most highly rated cafes in K-Town and totally worth visiting. It's a small spot with limited seating so I got my iced Taro Matcha beverage, an egg tart, and a blueberry muffin to-go, taking them back to my hotel. Everything was tasty and aesthetically pleasing. After he got his drink and shared that he liked the combination, the barista said that the syrup is homemade. I was on the fence about ordering the lavender latte, but when I hear that, I was sold. I went to Copper Mug Friday morning 7/25. The man working behind the counter treated me so poorly. He made me feel stupid for asking a simple question and for ordering something that was listed on the menu on the wall. Here's what happened: I only went to Copper Mug because someone told me they offered a Pumpkin Pie Latte in July and I was excited to try it. When we walked in, the Pumpkin Latte was listed on the menu so I tried to order it. The man behind the counter treated me like I was stupid for trying to order it. Afterwards, we called the Copper Mug Brooklyn location and they said that they did have the latte. How was I supposed to know that the latte was only available at the Brooklyn location? The man could've simply said no sorry but instead acted like I had just said the most ridiculous thing ever. I don't even care that the drink wasn't available, it was just the way he treated me when I asked. Also when I asked if they sold sandwiches there, he also replied no with a nasty tone. I left there feeling really bad. And I also work in customer service and I fully understand what it's like to have a bad day and have to go to work. But the way we were treated was completely unnecessary. One more thing, when we asked when the pumpkin latte would be in season he replied in a nasty tone "what?? I don't know, sometime next year." I will not be returning "next year" because of this experience. We ended up ordering two different drinks, but could not even enjoy them as this experience left us feeling really upset. I was in the area looking for a matcha latte, and Copper Mug came up in my Google search. I ended up ordering a taro & matcha latte with oat milk (yes, two in one!), and wow... it could not have been more perfect. High quality matcha, strong/authentic taro flavor, creamy oat milk, and the perfect amount of sweetness for me (for reference, I always order my bubble teas with 25% sugar). They also have unique pastries like Nutella banana bread and Portuguese egg tarts. I didn't get a chance to try them, but I'll certainly be back for them next them! read more

Same exceptional coffee as in Williamsburg, friendly service, no complaints there. Always a place to keep in mind when I'm in the area. One thing: the music, at least on my visits, has been oppressively loud, louder even than what one might hear at a Starbucks. There's a bit of seating, but I can't say I'd be inclined to stay with bass thumping in my ears, and I'm not always comfortable about asking staff to turn it down (some places respond, well, differently than others). Recently visited the midtown west location on Friday morning (7/25) for our last day in nyc hoping for a pleasant experience but it was not. The gentlemen with the black hair and beard was rude and gave us attitude when we asked a question about the pumpkin spice they had on the menu. The gentleman made us feel stupid for asking a simple question about a drink they have on the menu (which hasn't been removed yet).
