I LOVE BLANK STREET! This is one of those rare moments where a chain store actually has consistently good drinks (at least in my experience)!!! I love their strawberry shortcake matcha, or their regular matchas. It's all so amazing. The staff is always so nice, the vibes are great, and they're also pretty quick. I've gone here at least a dozen times in the last year and a half or so, and it's been great every time. All of my previous coworkers and I would go there during our breaks, and always left happy! read more

I wish we knew that they had this location. It was literally right down from our hotel. If we would've known we would have been here daily. The strawberry shortcake matcha with almond milk is so freaking delicious!! This location has seating inside where you can sit and enjoy your drink. Service is quick even though it gets really busy. Staff is also friendly. Highly recommend this place. read more

Boy, do I love the smell of VC-backed coffee in the morning. A Claim promo got me in here (also VC-backed, oop), and I ordered an iced pistachio latte with oat milk at 11:33 AM on a Sunday. TikTok overhyped this place. We ordered a blondie iced coffee, it was the best one out of the order. Vanilla bean matcha latte and classic vanilla matcha tasted almost the same. The matcha itself was very earthy, decent quality and was prepared well. The service was a little chaotic due to our party and another having the same name on the order so there was a hiccup but after getting things settled everyone got the right drinks. One of THE BEST coffee shops I've ever had!! Their Daydream Latte... oh my gosh don't even get me started. SO FREAKING GOOD. I dream about this latte daily and would totally get it every day if I could. It's actually perfect. I also tried their Banana Bread Matcha which was, surprise surprise, also amazing!! Blank Street can do no wrong. Their matcha didn't taste like flavored milk (thank goodness) and I was shocked at how close they got the flavoring to real banana bread. Really good! Their seasonal drinks are always so creative yet tasty, and they really nail it in terms of curating new flavors that are not just trendy/fun but also pair well together. It's always so hard for me to decide what to order when I visit since everything looks so good. Took a sip and literally said out loud, "oh that's good" There was definitely a little bit of a wait and the AC was barely working so it was a little hot in the store. My husband and I were on the search for some of the best coffee spots in New York City and Blank Street was on our list. I ordered the iced strawberry cheesecake Matcha and my husband ordered the daydream latte. Both were some of the best iced coffees that we had ever had. The service is absolutely outstanding. Beware there will be a line, but it moves quickly. The store is bright airy and cozy. I would definitely come back here and if you are ever in the area, please stop by. If you are going to do a pop up, please at least give people the benefit of the doubt by telling them waiting in line will be useless. There is nothing more frustrating that not clearly announcing how to be able to visit. Anyway, we ended up getting coffee from here instead of standing in the line. And the lattes were terrible. Ok this coffee shop absolutely made me and my friend's day We went 30 minutes before closing and were luckily the last people to get our drinks before the barista had to cut the line off to close. I'm not a big fan of matcha but the drinks were surprisingly really yummy and I liked the twists they added. It looks like a basic gentrified coffee shop but the drinks are actually pretty good The barista was the actual highlight though, she was so sweet and kind and gave us leftover pastries as we were leaving which totally made our day (the pastries were also really yummy) she was also working the store alone and as someone who has worked food service in the past, please give your workers more support! Few blocks from the Empire State Building, these popped up everywhere with the quickness. Friendly staff and not too busy, went during rush hour. Only counter space by the window and a large table with a few chairs, this is a grab and go place. Coffee was very good, they have STRAWBERRYS & CREAM latte and holy shitballs! Reminds me of the strawberry Yoo-Hoo's I had when I was a wee lad. Prices are in line with other spots, my strawberry latte was only $5.75, not really a premium so cool. Regular iced latte was $5.15. They have simple syrup and are generous if you ask. Don't forget to tip SOMETHING! read more

As someone who grew up in southern california, NY coffee is nowhere near as good as the ones in LA. But out of all the cafes I've been to in NY, blank street was by far the most standard and their cold brew was pretty good too. read more

We were walking in the city and I was dying for some coffee. As our final destination was still several blocks away (which was also a coffee place) we ended up stopping by at Blank Street. Perfection in a cup. I had a latte and my cousin got an americano. The service was fast considering the coffee shop was super packed. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! The base layer of the shaved ice was almost tasteless - didn't really taste like vanilla or milk, and it was just sprinkled with Oreo. I would rather just buy my own pack of Oreos and eat that. All of them tasted authentic (I'm Korean) and well executed. Also tried the black sesame cake which was amazing. The desserts here reminded me of rice cake bakeries/cafes in Korea so it's pretty legit. Sad I haven't made it to their store yet but it looks beautiful based on pictures.
