Yay! for a new option in Lake Wylie! Copper Premium Pub is open! The space is completely renovated from the last tenant and is bar/pub/dining area combo Check in involved giving a cell phone number to be texted when your table was ready. You had to download an app to check your place in line, which I didn't do. The hostess informed us we could wait in the beer garden outside, which included an area with picnic tables alongside an outdoor eating area. My biggest issue was the ability to smoke in this area... not so enticing for this non smoking couple. Otherwise, unless raining, the area was nice to wait in. We had Meagan as our waitress and she did a great job! Helpful without being over friendly and willing to answer many questions. Hubby started with a Windy Hill apple ale and enjoyed the local option and would definitely get it again, I ordered sweet tea, that wasn't as sweet as some southern places, but not to be confused with unsweet. We ordered the pretzel with Copper beer cheese dip. The pretzel was okay, the cheese was over abundant for one pretzel and I didn't love it. My hubby said it was ok but wouldn't order it again, though he saved the cheese to dip his fries in. I ordered the Steakhouse burger minus the C 1 steak sauce, cooked medium with homemade chips. Hubby ordered the meatball sub with herb seasoned fries. My burger was juicy, perfectly cooked and the chips were good, but not likely the best homemade I've ever had. Hubby said his meatball sub was good, but the meat could use more seasoning and the sandwich more cheese for his preferences, and he'd probably try something new next time. Both of our breads seemed really fresh and were quite good. We tried to order the homemade key lime pie and were told it was sold out and ordered cheesecake instead, also made in house. What we received tasted like key lime pie even though it had strawberries on top. We ask Meagan to double check and she was told it was indeed cheesecake, but I truly think the kitchen staff was confused. It was good...but not cheesecake. The noise level suprised us a bit, but given the bar area and several louder than normal patrons, we hope that it won't always be the case. We were there about 2 hours from wait time to paying the check, they were busy, but I think it's just the "just opened" typical delays...nothing to fret over. Overall, Copper Premium Pub is on its way to being a great spot in Lake Wylie. I'll save my 5th star hopefully for the next visit! read more

We have heard how good this place is, but gosh we didn't expect to be blown away. The service was awesome. I had a cider beer which is my fav. I had the crab cakes which are as good as the beach. My husband had the meatball sub, which was awesome. I'm not sure what I would order again next time. My boys split a spaghetti which was also good. I can't wait to go back. What was the best of all is when the boys were done they went and ran in the back yard and played. All while we just sat and enjoyed the rest of our meal. They have it going on here! read more

First time here and now a fan!! I got the fish sandwich with fries and to be honest... I wasn't THAT impressed. The breading has good flavor but it didn't tasted like the fish was seasoned at all. I wasn't crazy about the sauce, either. I will say, the fish was cooked perfectly. Very soft and flaky. My other got this burger and it was amazing. Cooked perfectly and it came with this some sort of A1 Sauce but to be honest, it tasted like a gravy. It was wonderful and the fries were really good as well, especially dipped in their beer cheese sauce. This establishment had a full bar as well as a great beer selection! Our server was really amazing and was tentative without being annoying or over the top. My only complaint was that this restaurant isn't really practicing social distancing. The bar literally was shoulder to shoulder and there were numerous people walking around the restaurant without wearing a mask. The quality of food here is impeccable. I've never had anything that wasn't outstanding! This isn't said lightly, but Copper has THE BEST RANCH around!! The high protein salad is my favorite meal. We just moved to Clover on 3/1/18 and this is the first "non fast-food" place we ventured out to. One word: AMAZING! It was a gloomy night, with that cold, drizzly rain that has a way of seeping into your bones and not wanting to let go. The welcome/waiting staff warmed us up quickly and it was all uphill from there. Our server (Taylor) was great. She joked with us, talked with our 4 year old and shared stories about her family and kids as well. Like us, she too recently moved to the Clover area and shared her must do's and best places to eat (outside of Copper Premium Pub). We can't wait to try them. Sorry, got distracted by the great staff. The food was killer!! Burgers cooked perfectly with the best amount of char and the chicken wrap was tasty and full of flavor. The greatest thing was the kids menu, which had white fish (catfish). This is the first place we have been that had fish on the kids menu for a great price. The catfish was fried perfectly and the garlic mashed potatoes were very good. Side note, the waitress stated that the truffle mac n cheese was very strong with the truffle. We chose the mashed potatoes instead since we weren't sure if our son would like the truffle. We ended the night with fried oreos. We will 100% be back in the near future and we can't wait to try it when the summer weather hits. I have to imagine it is a popular place to visit during boating season. read more

A 0 rated review and highly recommend reading! The manager.. very rude , ruined the whole experience for me in just two ways. The first time I had went there i brought my 5 lb service dog, with all my co-workers. Had been seated at a table as normal and then said he does not care he did not allow the dog after being seated... A few times after the waitresses had told me that was against the law and weren't a fan either. I totally get it if thats how he wanted to approach someone needing a service dog but I am friends with a coworker and they were pushed... for those reasons im out! read more

I wish there were more restaurants and pubs like Copper around the Lake Wylie area, or just in the South Clt area...it's really the only great place to eat near the lake! I do miss the awesome happy hour specials they had before COVID hit.. We would try and come every week when they had the happy hour specials.. Last night was the third time I've been here. Finally a sports bar in Lake Wylie/Clover area that has good food!!! This building has been several other restaurants in the past, but this one by far is the best. You have to try their fried green tomatoes! Best appetizer on the menu--I always order some to go too!
