Came to Copperbarn on a Saturday night and was happy with my experience. The staff was very attentive/friendly and there was no wait to be seated. There is plenty of seating available outside, inside, by the bar, and even on the second floor. I would say the sign outside needs some lighting or a different color scheme because you can't tell what it says. Now for the experience, they have an extensive beer and wine menu which is great. Typical prices for drinks. As an appetizer, we had the avocado rolls which were very tasty especially with the sweet chilly sauce. Only down-side was the fact that it was $10 for two rolls that were cut in half. I'd say that's a little pricey - maybe three rolls would be more worth the price. As for the main dish, we had the burger which was cooked to our liking. The accompanying french fries were extra crispy and savory. For $12 definitely worth it. It took a while to receive our food, but it was definitely worth it since you can tell it was made fresh. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and the staff gets an A+. read more

I have never been to this place, even though it is down the street from my house. We went for lunch today. Just wanted to say. A perfect experience from start to finish. The place is new and stylishly decorated..our waitress Gianna was PERFECT! SWEET SUNNY AND VERY INFORMATIVE! HONESTLY we can't wait to go back! This is such a nice and cozy spot! Be warned you can't get very many cocktails here but you can get specialty drinks and delicious wine. They make a killer Sangria! Second time here for Sunday brunch, first time was not impressed but came with some people this time reluctantly who liked the place. First off waitress was rude when I placed my order. I was clear as to what I wanted, she shut me down aggressively. When finally I was asked what I wanted she tried to sell me an additional item which I was not interested in. Specifically I wanted an order of quiche only, no potatoes etc. on my plate with black coffee. My order came with quiche that looked good but was loaded with extras I did not want and had not asked for. Like I said the quiche looked good but that was because it had been reheated and had a glob of cheese on top that looked melted but had been melted hours ago. To the touch it was refrigerator cold and the cheese was hard and the coffee was awful. I tapped on the cheese at the table and everyone laughed, inedible and undrinkable. Time to clean up and get us out of there she grabbed my plat with everything on it, and didn't ask if I wanted to take it home, a full plate. Will never go back there again. I didn't pay it was others turn this time so I kept my mouth shut. If it had been my turn to pay I would have stiffed her for sure. Went for lunch on a Friday a total of 2 other couples were in the restaurant they had plenty of wait staff and yet we saw our waitress minimally. Ordered the buffalo cauliflower small bites and they were disgusting. The breading they put on it was thick and almost like a pancake mix. I would never suggest them to anyone who enjoys buffalo cauliflower. They had a special of Italian panini that they claimed Thad balsamic glaze on it. I'm not entirely sure they know what glaze is but it was COATED in balsamic vinaigrette. Couldn't taste anything else. The fries tasted like the bottom of the fryer, which leads me to believe it hasn't been cleaned out in a long time. The prices were astronomical for what we were served. My son and I were traveling in town for a lacrosse event. We founded the Copperbarn nearby to hotel. The food was terrific (one of the best pork chops ever for me) and the service was attentive. Great atmosphere for the small bar but seating was roomy and confortable. The beer selection was on point with plenty of local choices. Went here with my beautiful girlfriend to celebrate our 9 months together. We arrived and got seated promptly. We wanted to try some apple cider for the fall season and went with what the waitress recommended. Unfortunately we both did not like it but I won't hold that against her. We started with the chicken enchiladas for our appetizer. It came in two pieces easy for us to split and we dug in. I haven't had many enchiladas but this one has been the best I've had to date. The chicken was although not super tender, tasty and paired with the sauce it was delicious. We then ordered our entrees and I felt steak. I ordered my Sirloin Steak medium rare and got it close to medium well. I was a little disappointed but I'm not one to send food back for something still edible. I'm glad it still was tender and had some awesome flavor. Paired with the well seasoned mash and veggies it was a very satisfying meal. My girlfriend went for the Island Grilled Salmon with Vegetable Paella and she enjoyed it. After stuffing our faces we went for the dessert menu. The waitress told us to pair the Chocolate Torte with the cappuccino crunch ice cream and it was a game changer. This was my first time trying a torte and I was in love. It paired so beautifully with the ice cream. The decadence of the chocolate and the lightness of the whipped cream and ice cream was a match made in heaven. Although this place was close to a 5 for me, the steak not getting cooked to my order bothered me and our waters not being refilled without asking finalized my decision. Wow, what a gem of a find here! My wife and I found out about this place by driving by. We noticed it was packed one evening and made a mental note to try it out. Boy, we were sure glad we did! We went for lunch and I was blown away at the attention to beer and coffee (great beer menu and great attention to coffee). Besides that, the place is very nice and clean. She had a seared tuna salad and I had the burger (which seemed popular cause I saw it on several tables). The only downside to the experience was that the dishes needed more salt but I'm willing to let that go because of the overall experience and hey, I just added more salt to my dish. We even had a coffee and dessert afterwards, which is very rare for us. I would have loved to talk to the owner to tell her how much we loved our experience but our waitress told us she was not around. We loved it and want to come back for brunch and dinner! read more

These Eggs Bennie were Eggcelent! We happened upon @copperbarncoffee for Brunch after a wedding weekend in Middletown and they had freshly roasted coffee to wake us up! All the food was very seasonal and lots of it seems to come from the nearby farms. The draft beer list was very impressive and had tons of local breweries I've never heard of, so I'll have to come back to check those out. read more

I came here for dinner with a friend. The waitress was super nice! It was a little late to try the coffee that everyone has been raving about, but if I go back I'll be sure just to go for the coffee. Both my friend and I ordered two different pizzas. I got the one with artichokes. The pizza was alright, I was not vowed by anything. The dough was not crispy enough for me and tasted a little artificial. The cheese didn't look natural. Copperbarn Coffeebar is a lovely place to enjoy a relaxing lunch. It has such a peaceful atmosphere that my wife and I really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and service was quick. The food was also great! We had the Cured salmon on a bagel which was delicious; I couldn't believe the amount of salmon they give you! We also had the fish tacos which were very tasty. The avocados with the fish, topped with pico and micro greens was wonderful. The prices were also very reasonable for the amount of food. The coffee prices were also surprisingly very affordable, but I did not get to try that coffee. I'll have to go back another time and try it... then I'll let you know, if it's worth it. Can't believe it took me so long to visit this gem. The service and staff are as warm and welcoming as ever. I had such a great experience I went back the very next day for brunch. The previous night I had the cheddar chicken which was ok but the potatoes and spinach was amazing! The brunch was very delicious with decent portions. We went for my wifes birthday. She had been there many times before. And stated she like it there. Brought friends and family. I have been there a few times. No issues for me. The menu was ok and the specials were fine. We ordered drinks and were served quickly. I ordered a butternut squash soup, (I never got it. My wife ordered a 2nd glass of wine, got it after we ate and we're getting ready to go). Ok pass on that. Got the salad that was bland and missing the olives. ( it was supposed to have. ). We ordered dinner, a Salmon special. ( Not sure if it was a microvave version or just so bland, no spices, just a lemon slice and barely a sprinkle of parsley. ) Plain mashed potatoes and nicely cook asparagus. Thats a special for $24.00. Wow. Price isn't the issue. Service was scarce and unbecoming of what service is supposed to be. A major disappointment for my wife's birthday. Looks can be deceiving. This meal was completely inedible with the exception of the quinoa. The bread was extremely hard and the contents were extremely dry/nothing was barely there. One bite into the sandwich and crumbs were flying everywhere, including inside my bodysuit....how fucking inconvenient. I felt like I could have started a damn asmr video with the tapping of my nails on that hard ass bread. The manager was able to comp the meal, but he/she didn't even come out to talk to me regarding the issue....how unprofessional. I would have rather eaten a meal at McDonald's, and I don't even eat there.... I'll probably be back for beer, but probably not. read more

Middletown - SUPPORT THIS PLACE! I came looking for coffee and ended up staying for breakfast and placing a to-go order for the in-laws. The building reminds me of a cross between a brewery space and coffee shop - very well though out. I cannot say enough good things about our barista/server Danny (Dani? - sorry if the spelling is incorrect)! I asked for a light roast coffee and she took the time to make a batch - take that SB! It's hands down some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. I ordered an avocado toast plate that came with black bean hummus, roasted potatoes and grapes. The hummus was AMAZING - I thought he plate would be too heavy but I finished everything (hubby ate the bacon and fruit). We will definitely be back for coffee and to try other menu items! read more

I have been here several times, and each time (lunch, dinner) it's basically the same. You are seated, you wait forever for your food if you get more than an app (busy or not), but the food is tasty and the redesign of the space is nice. I think this place would benefit from a handful of things. When you walk in, your standing space is tight to the coffee bar and hostess stand. If more than 2 people are waiting to be seated it is an awkward space to wait. The menus seem like they could be dealt with better. The wait staff seem to fumble around with the regular menu and the make your own salad menus and whatever else they are bringing to the table to seat you. Speaking of wait staff, there were so many people working one afternoon for no apparent reason... maybe it was for training, but it was, like, one wait person per 2 tables + several bar staff. The wait staff is very nice, but when seated in the small upstairs area, not as attentive to you when it's busy. Also, if people come for a meal (so maybe consider this for dinners more than breakfast/lunch) and you have to wait 30+ minutes to get an entre, give us a small snack to tide us over like a few pieces of bread and olive oil or something small so we're not just sitting and fixating on the food taking so long. Also, each time I've come, there has been something not available on the menu (usually the thing I or my husband wanted to eat). Not such a big deal, but the wait staff should know what is unavailable and tell you that upfront so you don't wait to find out when you're ordering and then have to reread the menu to pick something else. Hangry is a thing, and waiting longer to eat kind of sucks when that's all you want to do. The food is fairly tasty, but depending on what you get it can be underseasoned or not fully cooked (had some slightly raw potatoes with a filet mignon meal). Apps seemed to come out faster than meals, but again, if you don't get an app you are left waiting and hungry. Also, your outside sign is nearly impossible to read. It mostly looks like a rusty rectangle. I can't say I've written this place off completely just yet, but I can't say I'm rushing to go back any time soon. Some improvements here and there would do you good. read more
